Hello Beautiful people..Yes what's not to love about Joe..His body is like an instrument..If only we could go back to those days..Much Love and Light to all
As a kid in the 70s playing with my uncle's 45 collection i came across this song And it started my love of music I use to beg my parents to play this song and they said once i had to dance to it so i did I will never forget that and this song I Love Joe for that
He wasn't really a very outgoing person, in spite of being in the limelight for so long. Very rare to see him smile. "“Leon speaks through his music” - he's awake, all right, he was running this show. A reporter that did an interview with Leon noted that he was "taciturn." He was born with cerebral palsy, causing some paralysis to his right side which resulted in a limp. Also, according to friends and by his own admission, he suffered from either bipolar depression or Asperger’s syndrome, which contributed to crippling bouts of stage fright. His was not an easy life, and those beautiful, melancholy eyes reflect that.
The big 3 live recordings with a similar sound at that time were "with a little help from my friends" "the letter" and the last one that you have not done yet is "cry me a river". I would not be surprised if you like that one even more!!! Thank you for such genuine heart felt responses. We feel what you feel!!
Some people are raised to believe people should sing like angels and have trouble climbing out of that box. They miss out on the beauty of Joe Cocker and Janis Joplin
I love the way you guys follow up on requests so quickly! I don't know if you take requests from the comment section, but here is mine: "Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On (LIVE in Dortmund)" - the video with 8.2M+ views. It's spectacular. He's older but his voice is on point, exceptional backing band and fabulous back-up singers. Fingers crossed that you'll give it a go. Love your channel, love your chemistry.
A big thank you to you both. Joe C. really "lived" his music. . .such a soulful voice and the big band sound is fantastic. "Unchain my Heart" is another powerhouse of a song by Joe.
I love your reactions! You are both "down to earth" and genuine. I love seeing you enjoy Leon and Joe..separately and together. I grew up with them (I'm 69 yo) and they both were rocking in their day and mine. Keep exploring my generations' music.
I love so many of these old Joe Cocker songs. This one, High Time We Went, Feelin' Alright, Woman to Woman, ... they're all great, amazing. Wow, just saw the sax solo, looks like Bobby Keyes. He did so much legendary work w/ the Stones. The original version of this song was a classic too, Box Tops, think had Alex Chilton in it, a whole another rabbit hole to go down..
Believe it or not - there's an even better version of this song. This song (his "interpretation") is tied for my favorite song...alomg with about a hundred other songs haha
Joe was the real deal for sure! I think they did 46 performances on this tour, and can you imagine what it must have been like to put out this incredible energy, the whole band, 46 times?? Amazing. Thank you for sharing this one. 🙂
Joe puts everything in , every time ,, but there are people here that never get there full props , Leon Russell on Piano , Rita Coolidge back up singer ,, the amazing Bobby keys on Sax, who played with Elvis, Buddy holly , the Rolling Stones and just about every rock album you ever heard a sax on from 62 until he died.
Hey,...Always a great Thank You for your reactions to the music you both post. I really enjoy the tunes. Your passion for music is so great & a joy to watch. I was fortunate enough to see Joe Cocker & Stevie Ray Vaughan on the same venue back in the 90's in Montreal. Keep up the great work. 💯
That's quite a stage full of talent, starting with the man that put it all together, Leon Russell. Other luminaries include two legendary drummers, Jim Keltner and Jim Gordon, bass player Carl Radle, Bobby Keys on sax, and many more. They had about eight days to rehearse before they had to hit the stage for their first show, and during one of the rehearsal sessions they recorded "The Letter" and "Space Captain" and those songs were released as a single on A&M records. That became the version that all of us that heard it on AM radio back in the 60's are familiar with.
I look for your reactions every time, you're so appreciative of true talent. This is from the 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' tour, I bought one of the original LP's back then. If you listen to the whole album through, you'll appreciate the range of raw talent we grew up with.
You're such a beautiful couple; you must listen to his song "Your Are So Beautiful". Joe was a bass player, and so when he makes those wild movements, which he was always parodied for, he's often playing the air bass of the song he's singing.
hey guys and gals. look for Elton John's introduction of Leon Russell at the HOF. Leon was somewhat forgotten and that was a dam shame. just an icon in that top hat. Elton went way up in my estimation for that kind and wonderful speech while Leon was still alive to hear it.
The album version is very similar, but quite a bit longer. You owe it to yourself to listen to it and the entire album. Tons of great songs, music and just all around plain sweet, gooey greatness. Also, I just watched your "With A Little Help From My Friends" reaction, and left you a description there on how this series of concerts came about. You should go back and read it because it's a fascinating story. However, I urge you again, go and react and/or listen to more of the album. You'll love it ... 'cause it's what's been missing in your life !!!
That's the problem with Joe Cocker: his songs end. Rock in the late 60's and 70's?.....what a period of time to experience and live through. So thankful!
excuse my f-rench, but fuck anyone who dislikes the way Joe Flows with the music,, he was pure! You know,, the great thing about songs that end way to fast, when we want them to go on forever,, is you have to find a new song that is as good, and give it a listen.
I saw the late great Joe Cocker in concert many years ago. Had a bottle of maybe gin or vodka on stage with him. The more he drank the better he got. 😁
If you want to find out what they were having for breakfast, have a look at the doco when they are preparing to get out on the road and getting called out of their room. Not cornflakes.
Joe and the great Leon Russell, them Mad Dogs and Englishmen. What a cover.
He was ridiculed by many Americans and was treated horribly.. My favorite singer of all time The Phenomenal Joe Cocker 🤩
On the piano the great Leon Russell
Leon Russell, another amazing musician!
H
Great reaction. Love you two

If only❤
Thanks, guys. I love this cover by Joe. It's so raw and real.
There was only one Joe Cocker, and Leon Russell was always such a treat! This was a great time for music!
What an unbelievably, unique, and phenomenal voice he had. RIP.
I went to see the Guess Who, Joe opened for them, and Joe was SO damn good I felt I didn’t need the see the Guess Who !!!! ✌️🎶💜
Mad Dogs and Englishman tour you can't go wrong this is one of the best albums I have
Joe has always moved like this in all his music. He throws himself into it. it's raw powerful and has no fancy gadgets just talent.
Joe is expressing exactly how most of us of that generation and time period felt. R.I.P. Joe.
Joe’s ‘spastic’ presentation spoke to how much he was in tune with the musical vibration of the song he’s singing!
That’s the great (also late) Leon Russell playing piano and seemingly trying to stay awake. 😆
He wasn't really a very outgoing person, in spite of being in the limelight for so long. Very rare to see him smile. "“Leon speaks through his music” - he's awake, all right, he was running this show. A reporter that did an interview with Leon noted that he was "taciturn." Great cover of The Box Tops #1 song from 1967. Joe does a fantastic version! LOVE IT! ❤ Joe was a true original!! ❤❤❤
Leon Russell on the piano!

Cry me a River is GREAT!
The whole band is on fire. Love the sax solo.
Even my dog loves Joe cocker ❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think my CAT, does, TOO!!!
Some people are raised to believe people should sing like angels and have trouble climbing out of that box.
They miss out on the beauty of Joe Cocker and Janis Joplin
And Bob Dylan, and Tom Waits, and...
You should hear Joe sing First we take Manhattan. Sung with conviction in his voice.
That double record is the top of the tops, every single song is a great giant joy, Joe Cocker the Mad Dogs and the Englishmen
Joe Cocker was great and so very unique.
I second “Unchain My Heart”, especially the video. It’s so good it makes you just want to be there!
I love the way you guys follow up on requests so quickly! I don't know if you take requests from the comment section, but here is mine:

RIP Joe.
And Leon.
LEON Russell, on piano, ..from Tulsa, Oklahoma....❤ To the Merchants, from the land of Red Dirt!, Oklahoma!
I love your reactions! You are both "down to earth" and genuine. I love seeing you enjoy Leon and Joe..separately and together. I grew up with them (I'm 69 yo) and they both were rocking in their day and mine. Keep exploring my generations' music.
One of the best concerts I ever went to...Joe at the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles).😊
WOOOOHOOOO!!! JOE COCKER!!! LOVE HIM!!! Hope you enjoyed!! HUGS!

Joe belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rest in peace
Rock n roll moves the soul! Case in point!
Best music reaction ever. You look like you feel the music not just hear it. Happy days.
The Box Tops released this song originally but Joe took it to a whole new level!
Leon Russel is the calm circus master in the middle of the musical and emotional maelstrum
Who doesn't love Joe Cocker.
Another amazing video!!
Let’s not ignore LEON RUSSELL on piano! Fabulous artist in his own right. BACK TO THE ISLAND is my favorite of Leon’s. Ciao
watch Elton John's speech about Leon that he gave at Leon's induction. beyond great.
FEELING ALRIGHT IS NEXT !😂❤
React to Joe Cocker "You can leave your hat on". Andre can sing that to you afterword. 🙃
Preferably "Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On (LIVE in Dortmund)" - the video with 8.2M+ views! Better than the official video by far.
the best thanks
Joe cocker was awesome ❤
Yoyful! It cheered me up so much so thank you my friends.

That was fun.
Haha, I haven’t seen you with bigger smiles on your faces that Joe gives you both since you discovered jimmy barnes and chisel🤣🤣👍🏻
You Can Leave Your Hat On video is my favorite!
Joe may not have had a lovely voice, but man!, he could sing. ☮🧡🎶
I look for your reactions every time, you're so appreciative of true talent. This is from the 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' tour, I bought one of the original LP's back then. If you listen to the whole album through, you'll appreciate the range of raw talent we grew up with.
Incredible artist!!! Miss him, nobody like him ever again.
From my Era - Ah, Those were the days my Friend! ;-)
The movie Mad Dogs & Englishmen is absolutely fantastic...as is the album.
FEELING ALRIGHT same show with Leon Russell piano of course it’s a bit longer
I heard many years ago that Joe started that to help overcome stage fright.
Great reaction! 'Hitchcock Railway' and 'Delta Dawn's and 'She came in through the bathroom window are also great songs you'll enjoy by Joe.
Leon Russell on the piano is so laid back but still a great musician.
You two are beautiful
You might want to listen to the Boxtop's original version of the song, just as a reference for how Joe, Leon, and others interpreted it.
Love you guys. You must do a reaction to Joe's cover of Something by the Beatles, you will love and appreciate Joe Cocker even more
You're such a beautiful couple; you must listen to his song "Your Are So Beautiful". Joe was a bass player, and so when he makes those wild movements, which he was always parodied for, he's often playing the air bass of the song he's singing.
I had that Mad Dogs and Englishmen double album and played the grooves out of it.
You got the best version.
My favorite Rock artist of all time. Saw him Four times. Once with Janis Joplin;
hey guys and gals. look for Elton John's introduction of Leon Russell at the HOF. Leon was somewhat forgotten and that was a dam shame. just an icon in that top hat. Elton went way up in my estimation for that kind and wonderful speech while Leon was still alive to hear it.
The live version from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour album is longer and even more fun than this recording (from the same tour, I believe).
Next must do "Unchain My Heart" by JoeC
RIP Joe and Leon.
I would recommend his complete performance at Woodstock '69....................
The album version is very similar, but quite a bit longer. You owe it to yourself to listen to it and the entire album. Tons of great songs, music and just all around plain sweet, gooey greatness. Bobby Keys on the sax.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Those kids sure knew how to have fun back in the day, huh?
Mad dogs and Englishmen, probably the greatest concert ever
Down this rabbit hole you may across someone called J J Cale, worth checking out.
JJ Cale and Leon Russell (Live at The Paradise Studios 1979) - "Going Down", "After Midnight", "Same Old Blues" - for starters!
I've got one question for you....why haven't they inducted Joe into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame????
You're going to love Feeling Alright if you haven't heard it yet!
excuse my f-rench, but fuck anyone who dislikes the way Joe Flows with the music,, he was pure!
You know,, the great thing about songs that end way to fast, when we want them to go on forever,, is you have to find a new song that is as good, and give it a listen.
My dad, who was a Medical Nurse Practitioner, swore Joe had cerebral palsy when he saw him on TV.
Leon Russell was the coolest cat to ever walk the Planet..
Sly Stone might respond "hold my beer..."
@terrycunningham8118 I love Sly but I gotta stick with Leon! 😆
An old "Box Tops" hit re-set to an "ataxic body movement disorder" beat by the one and only Joe Cocker.
That was Bobby Keys on sax. Later was with the Rolling Stones.
All most all of Joe's hits were remakes. This was by the Boxtops.
I saw the late great Joe Cocker in concert many years ago. Had a bottle of maybe gin or vodka on stage with him. The more he drank the better he got. 😁
You know these lyrics can be found online and one wouldn't have to rely on whatever was trying write them here.
Check out his song "unchained my heart" another masterpiece
Back in the 70s people thought he had a physical handicap of some sort !?
Los tres ...la feria verdadera
Congreso ...el color de la iguana
Los blops / angel parra ...el volar de las palomas
who is having more fun than the band? lol.
Joe Cocker had a medical condition..... that's why he moves the way he does..... the act of singing causes his body to have apocalyptic seizures.
@JaundeFacaU Joe Cocker having a medical condition is a widely-held belief with no authoritative evidence to back it up.
There's a longer version.
If you want to find out what they were having for breakfast, have a look at the doco when they are preparing to get out on the road and getting called out of their room. Not cornflakes.
A reaction to Barclay James Harvest all the nights
