Great content.
Thank you!
Hearing that the Loud Collector will be co-hosting is like learning you have a substitute teacher for a class. Always a fun time for the kids! Great show, guys. And I agree that Parkhurst Champions is hidden gem. Hard signed autos and game used material? Sign me up. Personally I am collecting some of the wrapper backs myself.
Love the wrapper backs! We're happy you enjoyed the show!
Great episode!! 🙌
Hi guys. I've had a similar collecting journey. I'm a Toronto fan and got back into hockey cards in 2017-18 with the Leafs becoming competitive again. At first I bought only wax and collected whatever I got. Then I moved towards singles going after top rookies and eventually focusing on Toronto stars (Matthews, Marner, Nylander). Now I'm targeting the hobby elite (i.e. McDavid). With the threat of Marner potentially leaving Toronto I've started selling off his cards to acquire a nice McDavid card.
Appreciate you chiming in...I think evolving your tastes is what keeps the hobby interesting.
Raw, genuine and totally absurd! Best episode in a while! Bring Phil back, please!
Happy you enjoyed. Phil was awesome.
Always fun stuff with Phil. Will you do the 1998 Blast From The Past segment soon ? :)
Thank you. Would love to do a Blast From The Past review...we'll for sure this offseason!
Got to watch this one for Loud! 🔊
What a LOUD episode!
Your Tocchet career stats are way off. He didn’t hit 500g or 1000p. He would have been first ballot hof with your stats
Good catch...we got our wires crossed on that one. Yes 440G and 952 PTS. Thanks for pointing out the error!
I'm (Troy) an idiot. I somehow managed to keep Stamkos stats in my notes. Ugh, complete fail on my part and sorry about that.
Tocchet Regular Season stats are as follows: 440G, 512A, 952pts in 1,144 regular season games played.
More Phil!
Alot of YG's and rookie cards are likely to get sun damage with the new wall matt that is being promoted. I first saw them on Mirage Trading..its a big picture of an NHL star, with a spot to put a card. Then can be hung on your wall.
haven't seen one, will check it out.
Man made diamonds ARE real diamonds so Beckett is accurate if they say that. However, they don't retain value the same as mined diamonds. Think of them as sticker diamonds 😆
hahahahaha...sticker diamonds!
how can a North Stars fan love Al Secord, assuming you loved Dino ... those 2 things can't exist together 👊
I hear ya! I think the nostalgia kicked in. I will always remember being at the Met Center and the whole crowd chanting, "Secord Sucks!".
@@hockeycardsgongshow yep and the reverse at Chicago Stadium with stuffed animal versions of Dino from the Flintstones hanging from the rafters in a noose….. major nostalgia, just don’t see that kind of passion these days
cup cards...meh..like 90% of all sets: no ice no boards no puck no action...only player. yuck. love the player playing the game not the player. hockey aint hollywood.
all canvas for the win
