This video came just in time. I have a 30lb pumpkin and extra butternut squash I need to process up. I was thinking of making flour out of it. When I have too much leftover veggies I dehydrate into flours and put them in my veggie jar to add to soup/stews and casseroles. I'm trying to find link to your new station!😊 Found it in the Community tab!!😊
I often put a minced bunch of garlic in a pot of boiling water. I also put the paper skins into it. After it boiled, I let it cool, and put it in the blender and make garlic milk. Drnk some every day till you make more.
The dessert video will be released on our new channel www.youtube.com/@pantryliving on Wednesday. It is so tasty, we have had it twice this week. We are going to have to grow a lot more squash next year 😆. The words Chris has always wanted to hear.
Im not sure about the curshaw seeds, but squash seeds are delicious roasted! Just like pumpkin seeds. My favorite squash seeds to roast are butternut squash! They have some a deep and delicious flavor
We both love pumpkin seeds, so we are going to try roasting these ones. We will do a video on our new channel www.youtube.com/@pantryliving with our results.
Almond flour is now 20 dollars a bag for the Bob’s Red Mill brand at my grocery store, so it is no longer on my grocery list. I may try your squash flour.
From what I have read, it works as a substitute for most recipes that use coconut flour. We have to experiment more with this. We made pizza with it on our @pantryliving channel.
Changed my channel name from 1 2 :) see you Tuesday
Happy holidays!

That is a great idea for storing the veggie flours. We are starting to do more of that around here now too.
I did this with pumpkin, trying to recreate a pumpkin pancake.... It was astonishing how little fliwer came from our pumpkins.

I love the experimenting! I'm looking forward to the dessert recipe.

I initially thought you were going to make squash pasta with the flour!
Great idea. Maybe we should try that. We have used a spiraling and made "squash noodles" it worked okay.

Substitute flours are getting crazy expensive
I’m wondering if you could use squash flour in baking, the way you would use almond flour as a substitute for some of the regular flour in a recipe.
