- As promised, I put this edit together of the emotional scenes between Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler. :) I hope I did their history justice!

I love how elliot is always protective over Olivia. He will kill for his girl. These scenes really prove they have always been in love with each other. They are soulmates. ♥️

This is amazing. You chose great moments to represent the heart of their relationship. It’s not just the cute and happy moments. It’s the real, raw and gritty moments that their deep connection stems from. They walked into battle everyday for 12 years putting their lives in each other’s hands. The kind of trust and care for one another that they have doesn’t come anyway else.
Thank you so much! That's definitely what I was going for. Aside from just their chemistry and ease with each other, they had a connection and complex history.

Every relationship isn't about sex or romantic relationships, but this one developed into a relationship with non-platonic feelings. Love doesn't have to include sex.

She needed to grow. That’s why she grew so much with amaro because SHE was his superior. He looked to her for guidance she had to make decisions and lead them she couldn’t lean on stabler for the rest of her life.

I always felt that the first season had more of a closeness or attraction in their relationship. It was more blatant here and even the more feminine fashion of Benson was in this season. I'm not sure if this was the case but it seemed like the writers may have steered away from such a dynamic between Benson and Stabler and made it more professional in following seasons but still hinting the closeness and deeper connection they have.
Yeah I agree, they did seem to shift after season 1 although they remained close and their history just became more complex.
They didn’t really steer away. It was still an emotional deep connection and love between them. It got stronger throughout the seasons
it was physical attraction in the first season which became a deeper emotional connection later
Fault was insanity. One of my favorite episodes ever.
These two are so in love. It’s obvious from the pilot, that there’s an everlasting love, and loyalty.

I've been binging from the beginning when we knew CM was returning. I'm finally up to the last few episodes before he left. The scene at 6:14 is towards the end of the season 12ep 17 (Pursuit) and it starts off with him being in Quantico on a training assignment & Olivia is partnered with Fin and they are doing a video chat. He tells her to be careful. Fin may be good but he can't watch her six like he can. And Fin replies, that;'s because I'll be watching her back. So even then he wanted to protect her, but Fin also did, but in a different way.

Umm...wow. Hardcore and long time fan of SVU. You have captured the nuances of the historic and epic relationship of Benson and Stabler -- the beautiful and not so beautiful.
These two do love each other -- it is not quite romantic but deeper than agape love. They are soul mates which is next level.

This is the most powerfull video between Olivia and Elliot. But the one thing I did notice in the video when they were partners was that Elliot always saw Olivia as weak. When he left you definitely saw a stronger and different Olivia. I'm curious to see the reunion. Hope she kicks his ass though for leaving without saying goodbye. She was heartbroken.
I really don’t think he ever saw her as weak. That one scene out of context might make it seem like it but there was context missing and everything he said was addressed. And yeah, Liv has grown a lot since he left but it’s not necessarily because he left. Some major life changes went down in the years that he’s been gone, namely William Lewis and becoming a mother. I think those changes are responsible for us seeing her strength even more. But I’m excited for him to return because we haven’t seen her smile or laugh half as much since he left. Whatever your opinion, I can’t wait for them to be together again. I have no idea what to expect.

Ok, Kathy is gone, but a spouse, loved one, is NEVER "out of the picture", and thats a very immature, asinine way to put it. Elliot LOVED Kathy, they had years together, 5 kids, and she shared him gladly with his work wife, Olivia! One of my best friends was male, and my husband knew it. He also knew that I wasnt going to leave him for another. Now, I am widowed, and not interested. Youll learn some day.

Maybe,, he is afraid of Olivia. He has feelings ,he loves her but he doesn't want to submit to his feeling .
Now he knows she has a child and he met Noah. She has what she wanted above all.
She grew a lot.
And he has not heard about Lewis.

I really feel the scene when Olivia is talking to stabler about her fears of genetics. I think setting liv up with Noah as a son was a perfect story line. She clearly has so much love to give but chose a life of solitude and duty rather than one of adventure and romance, but u can tell throughout the show she has always had a strange relationship with kids, like she feels almost guilty around them. I also want to be a mom, I’ve always wanted to be one, to be better than my parents were. But, I’m scared, knowing my parents and their mental health issues (addiction, narcissistic personality disorder, ADHD, anger issues, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia) and I think about how hard my life has been and I just think, I can’t be selfish and create one with my genetics, it would be so selfish and so cruel to put that stress, the same stress and pain I’ve endured since I was 6, on my own child. I love how stabler said it’s not all about genetics, u just have to love them, it makes me hopeful, but I feel my path will be similar to Olivia’s and im trying to teach myself to be okay with that.

Fantastic video love it .I loved Elliot but the way he left liv like that bang out of order she deserved better but she grew more in the job and she has fin and the team she doesnt need him

I wont forget the ep at 1:39 Elliot was hilarious blaming Liv when he is the one that chose her the horror in his eyes when she hit the ground. That perp was a real psycho.
I'm kinda pissed that they didn't talk for 10 years not even a whisper I mean that never happens besides we know they love each other even platonic it's crazy look at what she went through with Lewis an nothing from him totally crazy. Then he comes back and it's like he was frozen in time no growth at all they didnt give him. 1 ep he said he was on the job 35 years and no growth naa that ain't cool meanwhile even Tamine who just graduated got promoted over at SVU like wth
I really hope the show will address the Lewis incident about whether or not he knew, and if he did why he didn't reach out. Personally I hope he didn't know, because if he did and STILL didn't reach out, that's awful. I also don't think it would be in character for Elliot to know about it and not check on her.
