- "Lehi, a prophet in Jerusalem, becomes troubled at what is happening in the world around him, so he seeks God's direction, and God answers his humble prayer.
Based on 1 Nephi 1:4-6:
4 For it came to pass in the commencement of the first year of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah, (my father, Lehi, having dwelt at Jerusalem in all his days); and in that same year there came many prophets, prophesying unto the people that they must repent, or the great city Jerusalem must be destroyed.
5 Wherefore it came to pass that my father, Lehi, as he went forth prayed unto the Lord, yea, even with all his heart, in behalf of his people.
6 And it came to pass as he prayed unto the Lord, there came a pillar of fire and dwelt upon a rock before him; and he saw and heard much; and because of the things which he saw and heard he did quake and tremble exceedingly.

I love this actor, Rick Macy, ever since he portrayed the delegate from Maryland in A More Perfect Union, and many of his following roles. He is brilliant as Lehi and you can see the love, respect and sincerity he has for this character in his eyes. Absolutely wonderful.

I’m still fascinated by the B of M after reading it over 30 x from A to Z. This powerful ancient scripture enlightens our soul and fortifies our testimony. Praise God!

These videos are amazing!!!! I love being able to see the stories come to life. Makes me see them in a whole new perspective. I’ve been having a hard time reading the scriptures lately but this has created a whole new interest in me again and I’m excited to read as I watch these! :)
Glad they're releasing these smaller piece videos of the full videos. One of the nice things about the Bible Videos was their short length
Will Bowden Short is good. However, I just want the whole movie right at once. Not spliced. Give me all the videos and full length and we can watch them like a marathon. 😁
One part of me likes how short, focused, and frequent these uploads are.
Another wants longer segments to watch as a family Sunday Night or during FHE.

@Rodney Maxwell Jesus Christ's sacrifice was for all and did atone for all. There is only one Savior, and The Bible, Book of Mormon, and other records speak of Him. You must be confused. All will be resurrected because of Christ's atonement. And we also have the path opened to us to gain exaltation with Him and God the Father should we choose to enter the gate through baptism and strive to keep the commandments and continually repent.

1:02 to 1:16 I couldn't help but visualize our dear prophet prophesizing to former members of the church (along with the rest of the world of course). But the angry people who stand and shout in front of him? They make me think specifically of former members of the church who have let their hearts become so full of hate and their heads so full of Satan's lies that there is no reasoning with them to return to the gospel they once adored. I'm so devastated when I learn of people whom I've known in the past who were so full of love, faith, hope, and kindness who suddenly let themselves be influenced by Satan, for whatever reason, enough to leave the gospel.
I pray for them. I hope for them. I cry for them. I wish they would let go of their pride and hate and let themselves be filled with love and forgiveness from the Lord. 😢

Part of the reason Jerusalem became so wicked was because those who 'weren't participating' were okay with and tolerant of the gross sins. God calls prophets to guide and protect His people. It is an act of love for God to call prophets, seers, and revelators. He's trying to keep us safe. But when we get to a point where our hearts are hardened by pride, and we not only reject the messengers and warnings God sends, but we also seek to murder those who are warning us out of love, then we are "ripened in iniquity" as the scriptures say and destruction is close at hand.

@The Anonymous Suffering in Gethsemane is not the Atonement. It does not fulfill the Messianic prophesy or requirements of such. Only death on the cross accomplished it.
@@joshua.snyder What is written in the New Testament is that the Atonement started in Gethsemane and culminated on the cross. It is not an either/or proposition. However, the atonement reaches its fruition with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
@@JD-pr1et Mormons focus on Gethsemane and look to the cross as merely a means of execution. They avoid it and have hijacked it with doctrinal error which has its roots in the teaching of the earliest LdS leaders.
Paul speaks to the error of this clearly in the NT. "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
@@joshua.snyder I am uncertain as to what you mean that the Church of Jesus Christ only looks to the cross as a means of execution. The Church of Jesus Christ believes in the atonement of Jesus Christ as the message of the cross as stated by Paul. It is not foolishness to us. The atonement of Jesus Christ is the only event which makes Salvation possible. Perhaps if you spent time in primary sources rather than Anti-Christ literature you would find quite a few interesting things about Jesus Christ and His Church. I know I did as I researched that genre as I journeyed from a Roman Catholic for my first 17 years, to Evangelical Christianity for the next 7, to the Church of Jesus Christ for the last 31.

Don't feel bad. There are many people perhaps numbered in the billions on this planet who consider the Old and New Testament to be fiction and not based on actual events either. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ don't feel that way. We believe all three books are based in reality.

Archaeologically, linguistically, historically, doctrinally and biblically the BofM has been proven to be nothing more than 19th century fiction from Joseph Smith.
@@joshua.snyder unfortunately you obviously haven't read the Mormons codex of thousands of nonChurch of Jesus Christ sources that actually show thousands of correspondences. It's only about 965 pages. you should try it you might find some actual information rather than magical thinking.
