For so long actors were trying to be the next Brando, guys like Joaquin Phoenix and Shia Labeouf brought that true natural talent and straight up devotion to their craft right under the radar. I can't name a mediocre performance from either of them. Shia is going to do great things.

From birth to 1 1/2 years old, I lived in the West Adams District. The same place David Ayer and Conejo (The villain in the film) grew up. And until I was six years old, I went to grade school in the same neighborhood. (24th Street Elementary School). It's a nostalgic film. And I personally knew White dudes like "Creeper." Real "Chicano Blancos". This wasn't some "race swap." There were real Wight dudes who grew up with Chicanos. They were Mexican at heart and soul. Same with my people I personally know Wight dudes who "grew up Black." I love this movie. It's in my soul.

the movie died out when creeper died, than everything kinda became predictable and just meh, lets face it we all wanted to see this movie because of shia lebouf that's it, the trailer made it seem it was about him and David and the life of a tax collector but as soon as he got killed it just felt like a waste, we all knew creeper was going to die but we didn't think he would go down that soon or easy, I was expecting him and David rebuilding their gang and trying to find more soldiers to go after Canejo and basically go on a manhunt for him and than towards the end he dies but an unexpected drive bye not to mention the movie could've atleast went on to be 2 and half hours long

This movie was so good. Loosely based on the true story about the homie, if you know you know, may he Rest In Peace. What’s crazy is the dude who’s this is loosely based on was the only OG/Made member from the neighborhood that Shia grew up in and is from.
I can see a lot of parallels between Creeper and a mix between Arthur and Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders. He has a lot pent up rage like Arthur but at the same time can be cold and calculated like Tommy. The movie definitely surpassed my expectations.

I can see a lot of parallels between Creeper and a mix between Arthur and Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders. He has a lot pent up rage like Arthur but at the same time can be cold and calculated like Tommy. The movie definitely surpassed my expectations.
