Guys chill with the hat. He’s so young, this is his first time with the Anthem and he was so nervous. He meant no disrespect.

Literally just watched this! May be one of the best anthems I’ve heard in sports history!! Didn’t try to over sing it didn’t twist it into anything outrageous and kept it pure simple and beautiful! Great job young man!!!

I have this before, and I will say it again, he sings from his core. Iam is one of the best singers to come out of Idol in a very long time. He feels his words, he sings the stories. Awesome talent.

And to see tears in the eyes of those tough ass wrestlers was so touching and unforgettable. Such a sad time in our nations history. As I was listening to you, I found myself reflecting on all that was, and is, great about our nation. That is a huge statement about the BEAUTIFUL job you did.
And the crown goes wild!!! Iam had my heart racing, that was so beautiful and Iam’s voice so perfectly embodied and articulated the depth of meaning in every phrase. Oh my, this young man is such a gift. Thank you to brother Iam. I loved seeing the response on players’ faces too.
This is the way it was meant to be sang, with such class and dignity. I LOVE how you took your time and sang every word and note as if you were savoring every bite of a good meal. Many people who sing the National Anthem often try to show off their vocal abilities by doing all kinds of vocal gymnastics. More often than not, they fall flat. Congratualtions for doing such a superb rendition!
Ever notice how this young man seems to be best when he's on his own. There was no orchestra, chorus, or even a guitar, he was truly, on his own. His pitch, and his delivery, were spot on. I've said it before, Time Magazine should elect him Person of the Year. He is a national treasure...

The best easy to listen to anthem I've ever heard! Nothing fancy, just pure heart in every word. I usually walk away when someone sings the national anthem, but Iam's natural simple and beautiful sound and spinning vibrato got my attention throughout the whole song.

And the only reason we know he was nervous is because he said it himself lol. His rendition goes right up there with Whitney Houston's even better in my opinion. Flawless!

I feel the need to share this, as a native born American, i grew up singing the national anthem at our schools and everytime it would come on the announcements i would be so over it. So needless to say that whenever i hear the national anthem, i dont cry, i dont get emotional, its just like an everyday routine from when i was in school BUT i never lost the respect i have for this country yet more like a forced respect. this video has brought me down to tears, i felt and saw every word that was sung. Never have i imagined a war in my head and us winning that war with our flag held high, beat up and ripped and dirty BUT still standing. JUST AS the song says, i think i will now never look at this song the same again it now has the true meaning of what it is to be an American. God bless America.
