My first hole in one was on Navy Golf Course in Cypress, CA. Which is where Tiger grew up. Navy GC was his home track and there are a bunch of “Tiger Tales” around the course. I’m good friends with Tiger’s old caddie from when he was just starting to win big tournaments as a Jr Golfer. Cool stuff.
I was 39 when I hit my only hole-in-one and I also could not see it while everyone around me cheered. That's what finally convinced me I should go get glasses.
@@pizzapartytime1826yeah, I can’t see the details on a green really from 150 yards out and I get my eyes checked yearly lol. The end focusing just isn’t there. Not sure why.
It makes sense, shooting for birdies and eagles to consistently score and establish early leads is just a way more effective strategy than leaving it all out on the table where a gust of wind can screw your shot, its just risk vs reward.
@thewatchmen4920 have you seen Charlie Woods play golf. He played a father and son charity w his dad. Charlie is an amazing golfer at 12, and is only gonna get better.
Dude, im not a golfer and have never even tried in my 34 years of life. However, I really hope that every golfer, professional or not keeps, frames, and displays their golf ball they used to make their very first hole-in-one!! That's gotta be a proud and special feeling. Regardless of the par or the course. A hole-in-one is probably the most difficult thing to do in any sport..
One time I hit a hole in one, I was so happy. I ran, picked my ball up out of the hole, and stood there as everyone one cheered around me. They all said it was the best shot they’d ever seen. And then I woke up
There will never be a player like TW. Might be better but to do the things that tw has done. No . Beat all his records yes someone will one day. He's a senior citizen now
Use to play Heartwell all the time with Tiger when we were in high school. I made 5 holes in ones at that course, but I'm not sure if they count since it's a short par 3 course.
And how many times did he change his swing since '99? He still dominated, but I wonder what would've happened if he hadn't changed it? Anyone who wasn't around in the late 90s through the early 2010s missed out on a legendary run. Watching Tuger dominate golf during that time was like watching Mike Tyson in the 80s and 90s. Amazing
Tiger should tour all the major courses around the world and tell stories about his career for large groups of people while playing 18 holes. I'd pay for that.
Tiger has been a pro since turning 20. He was the first major golfer to get a contract major endorsement (Nike) He also got the other golfers money (endorsements) besides the PGA tour. He might not be the best golfer but he is the most celebrated. 28 years and still going. 👍 👍
@@davemcfarland775 lol why? The record holder is Mancil Davis with 51. Not hard to believe that arguably the greatest competitive golfer of all time has 19.
I’ve had one hole in one and it was on a golf scrabble tournament where a lot of the holes were switched around (tee boxes from different spots than usual) so it technically doesn’t even count. It was still a 170 yard par three though
This footage is from 2018ish. This means he got 19 hole in ones in a span of only 17 years from when he was 8 to 26. Makes me worry I missed my window since I didn’t even start playing until 33
Crazy. Imagine being the world #1 from 1999-2004 and then again from 2005-2010 and not having a hole in one during that span, assuming that his last hole in one in 1999 was before or just at the beginning of that run.
I hit my first hole in one a couple of weeks ago. I was playing a solo round, no one around in sight. It's a pretty weird feeling doing something that special alone.
If he knows his putting game is strong, he's probably just aiming for a clean putt rather than trying to win a lottery ticket getting a hole in one and being in a worse position if he misses. Probably not helping that holes have gotten further and had more dog legs added to block driving to them.
Couldn’t tell ya the year let’s call it 2015. I know the course and hole I put it 2 inches from the cup on a par 3. Haven’t stuck one inside 5 ft since.
Yea, it's just sad that it took all the crap he did to eventually get it out. He just wasted so much talent while feeling "entitled". His biggest loss was his marriage to Elon.
