I watched all 23 video is less that 24 hours! I was sick yesterday so I sat miserable on the couch cussing at all your bumbling buffoonery. I must say, you show a lot of heart and tenacity, intuiting your way thru this. It’s good experience that will mature your skills in small engine repair and pay lifetime benefits. Just PLEASE be safer, don’t ride bikes with no brakes and don’t breathe all that crap. As a dad, i had a shit attack! Think of your health and safety more!!! (done ranting) Can’t wait to see how this bike turns out!
Great job dude!, shes gonna look and run great!, gotta love bringing vintage anything, especially bikes back from the dead. Now it'll last another 40 years😎
im doing a kz550 at the moment and I really want my next project to be a two stroke like this one. cant wait to see how it looks when youre done with it. engine looks great
Do not change the opening music to your channels intro it’s awesome! I look forward to it every time. The Spanish sounding Clint Eastwood movie guitar is awesome!
just binge watched this since the first episode I really like how you show all the steps you go through to restore this bike. in the last episode you should go back to Ron's house and show him
Awesome series of videos you have going on!! I'm restoring an 85 700 virago rescued from the side of someone's house and your vids are a great help. Keep it up my man
All I have to do is move the hinge points on the frame to the other side and add some brackets. No big deal. Plus, I already restored the seat in a different video. Watch that video, then you'll understand!
For future projects try using SPRAY 9 and a paint brush with long bristles, when you agitate the grease with the brush and chemical the grease/grime you can spray it all off with a hose, no scrubbing or wasting a ton of paper towels.
Looks great but I am wondering about the heat with the painted fins. The fins cool the engine and now they are sealed and will keep more heat in. You might have to strip the edges of the fins if it is running too hot. but it looks great!
Great video.a little advice build yourself a bench mounted engine stand i made one and it is great for most bike engines.also would be easier to prep engine for paint when its disassembled
you have been my guide for my project as-well so thank you! can please tell me how to these paint you've using (rust oleum) engine primer, flat black and the clear.
You’ve had the engine disassembled so it would be a lot easier to remove the paint and even painted before assembly... it would definitely be done without any risk for the gaskets and seals. Try it next time😉 Nice video though 👍🏻
Hi Gold guy like you stuff, just wondering if you ever watch Jennies garage , he dose a lot of work on bikes think it would be good for you to learn from , he also has a lot of parts at times. Well just a suggestion any way keep up the good work love the Channel
Hey man nice work on that bike but next time you should do the engine paintjob when it is dissassembled... when you will have to dissassemble it again, that paintjob will be destroyed
hey mate, great work! Planning to use the same brand paint on my 1991 Honda XL185 engine, how did it hold up with heat and fuel droplets leaks and etc ?
I love your vids. Very simple and easy. Great job on the engine. I'm resorting a cb750. I have the engine out of the frame. If I paint the engine now how soon do I have to cure it?
hey man, i have a question you might be able to answer. im currently working on a 50cc derbi moped. the paint on the enige is partly gone and it needs some new paint. do i need to take all the old paint away from the engine to let the new paint stick, or sticks the paint pretty well on not really cleaned pieces? i also was interested in the paint thinner. what is the purpose of that actually?
I'm glad it's a long process I feel like I'm a part of something from start to finish what a great feeling
I'm from Brazil, I like your videos, you help me with pronunciation and listening in English, I'm still learning, thank you.
I just watched this whole build that you have done on this bike so far. You have done an amazing job!!
That aircraft remover is the best! I did my cx500 tank. Worked amazing.

Dang, dude! That's a nice looking engine! Can't wait for you to finish the restoration and take it for a ride.
Looking pretty bad ass can't wait to see the finished product going to be a nice bike
Yesterday i saw one video from this build and i found it so much fun to wach so i wached all the videos and i subscribed 👍👍
Great job dude!, shes gonna look and run great!, gotta love bringing vintage anything, especially bikes back from the dead. Now it'll last another 40 years😎
2023 and this video is still helpful. I'll be using this to repaint my XT350 engine in the coming weeks!
You are one talented geezer well done mate, you should be on like a TV series that would be amazing.
im doing a kz550 at the moment and I really want my next project to be a two stroke like this one. cant wait to see how it looks when youre done with it. engine looks great
WOWWWW i watched this whole build in one day not knowing it was still going on. I was so into it Hahahah now i can’t wait for the next video...
Do not change the opening music to your channels intro it’s awesome! I look forward to it every time. The Spanish sounding Clint Eastwood movie guitar is awesome!
Well said
It’s called “Malagueña Salerosa”. Beautiful song.
I really appreciate you showing this and how you did it, it gives me Confidence that I can do this myself and hopefully save some money, Thank you! :)
just binge watched this since the first episode I really like how you show all the steps you go through to restore this bike. in the last episode you should go back to Ron's house and show him
Hell yeah!!
Great video again ! Waiting for the next one like never
Awesome series of videos you have going on!! I'm restoring an 85 700 virago rescued from the side of someone's house and your vids are a great help. Keep it up my man
Awesome videos man, I really enjoy them. I would love to see what you are doing with wood working too.
Wow that paint came easy peasy.
Looks great!
Please don't modify the chassis for a seat..the chassis is worth more than a seat you can easily replace. Also the motor came out great 👍
All I have to do is move the hinge points on the frame to the other side and add some brackets. No big deal. Plus, I already restored the seat in a different video. Watch that video, then you'll understand!
Yeah, engine looks great!
Very nice GoldGuy!

I'm hooked on this build!!! You should get an OE speedo, tach, head and tail light and hook em back up!!
I just did that same thing this morning while painting my fuel tank putting some cushions underneath. haha DIY life
Engine looks great fab work well done mate
Man u r genious, i absolurely love your videos
Nice work mate keep it up all the way from England 😎
Just court up with this bike, man I can wait till you've finished bet it'll look awesome. Great videos :)
Nice to see it coming along 👍, looks good.
Brilliant good job mate
inspired me 👍
I can't wait for more vids on the ts185!
Thumbs up for the music! Johnny Cash and bikes is a good combo!
The Engine looks SOO AMAZINGG!! You did an amazing paint job
Thank you man!
Looks very good man like new makes me happy to be the 100th like, can’t wait to see what you do with the frame.
That looks pretty dam good pal.
Doing a great job! Thanks or sharing this.
Looks great but I am wondering about the heat with the painted fins. The fins cool the engine and now they are sealed and will keep more heat in. You might have to strip the edges of the fins if it is running too hot. but it looks great!
Superb 🔥
cant wait to see some rides with her!
Nice project,i have project soon or later...
hit the edge of the fins with sand paper to give it that shiny harley cooling fin look
Josh Willard I was thinking the same thing
Great idea ! And you could buy a gold oil plug cover for the engine too!
@@alskarwow5247 Yeah i think that would looks sick!
Honestly I was hoping he would tape off the rest of the block and paint the fins gold.
@@greddy2race next time i have a air cooled dirt bike im doing that. your a genius
Damn going to look awesome
Job well done
Been waiting for so long
Love your videos
Superb job sir ... I would have left the satin black as is without the gloss coat but hey that is just my opinion
Aircraft remover definitely completely fucks all gaskets and seals! I sacrificed some old gaskets and seals and o rings to find out for myself lol
Oh shit good thing I kept it off of the gaskets and seals. Gotta be careful with this stuff
Good Job! But in my opinion better paint with motor dissassemble in parts. I prefer no bolt paint!
Nice job.
good effort kid !
Great video.a little advice build yourself a bench mounted engine stand i made one and it is great for most bike engines.also would be easier to prep engine for paint when its disassembled

Nice video though 👍🏻
I'm restoring the same bike. It was easy to do it while apart
I am enjoying watching you learn through the process. Might want to find a better way than putting those chemicals down the drain though!
Weres the next video ha I cant wait any longer love this little series you've got going bro
ive done the same before. Good Job.
Cool .... subscribed!
Keep up the videos there great
Hi Gold guy like you stuff, just wondering if you ever watch Jennies garage , he dose a lot of work on bikes think it would be good for you to learn from , he also has a lot of parts at times. Well just a suggestion any way keep up the good work love the Channel
Max power i also watch that channel love it
I was looking to get a parts cleaner cabinet.. I never thought I could just use my sink..😮
good jobe so fare keep it up from the uk
Looks good! I'm wondering how this has withstood the test of time? Does the bike get dirty and power washed often? Any flaking/chipping? Thanks!
I hope you finish the build and I want to see it
Hey man nice work on that bike but next time you should do the engine paintjob when it is dissassembled... when you will have to dissassemble it again, that paintjob will be destroyed
hey mate, great work! Planning to use the same brand paint on my 1991 Honda XL185 engine, how did it hold up with heat and fuel droplets leaks and etc ?
It held up really well actually!!! Mostly fuel proof and definitely heat proof.
Guys in the vintage Japanese motorcycle sometimes polish up the aluminum
I want to see you do this to a big Vtwin engine. I’m about to do some work like that to mine
I love your vids. Very simple and easy. Great job on the engine. I'm resorting a cb750. I have the engine out of the frame. If I paint the engine now how soon do I have to cure it?
Brilliant video! I may have missed it but how many layers would you recommend of the primer, satin black and gloss finish?
You the best
To do a cafe racer with this bike would be very interesting. I would still try and get a title for it. She would be sweet as a cafe racer
Even sprayed the spark plug 😂😂
Yeah man I wanted it all to match
Nice video!! When does the next episode come?
Is it safe to wash that paint remover down the sink?
I was so excited to see this video, great work man👍👍 and what happened to that 450f Yamaha dirt bike?
I am still sourcing cheap parts for it, I only need the cylinder and piston and then I will have all the parts I need to rebuild the yz450! Stay tuned
GoldGuy can’t wait bro🤙
I bought the cylinder and piston today! Video will be up soon
whats the point satin black then gloss clear coat. ps hows it holding up? any trouble with road debris, gas/oil?
how many cans did it take?
I'd use truck bed liner for the frame paint. I used it when restoring my 1975 Kawasaki G5
Wait hold up your on to somthing. Me and my dad used that for our boat. Good idea!
Nice
May I ask, how did this hold up with rock chips from driving ?
hi goldguy , can you please let me know how this paint stood the test of time :) ??
You have a great channel better than rather b welding
looks good! was there a sale on the albowgrease?
No man it's never on sale and it doesn't come cheap
I just love flat black paint 😅 just me...
should use brush wire first instead of sand paper
,paint would hardly want to stick on any finished alu .right?
Did the paint last or did is chip off?
It's still on, super strong paint
I agree about not painting the rubber.
Weres the rest of videos for this bike?
Can you get the elbow grease in 2.5 litres or just 5?.
It is American elbow grease, comes only in gallons and quarter gallons.
Just to be sure and make it easier on you unless you already know where they go.
If the aircraft remover burns hard paint of course it would burn the gaskets seen it happen before some are just cardboard
hey man, i have a question you might be able to answer. im currently working on a 50cc derbi moped. the paint on the enige is partly gone and it needs some new paint. do i need to take all the old paint away from the engine to let the new paint stick, or sticks the paint pretty well on not really cleaned pieces? i also was interested in the paint thinner. what is the purpose of that actually?

i dont know who put thumbs down but whoever they are they are idiots! great job man cant wait to see the whole bike rebuilt!
Feeling like im watching a video from 2013 for some reason😂
nice
When is there going to be more videos
Good job looks great did you get my email what do you think of the bike if not I can send again
You should have left the engine alloy and polished it
Fully agree, it would've looked tits polished up
