Alex Adey Correction: It's insignificantly larger from the perspective of an IR-homing missile and of other anti-air weapons, but it's faster and it can transport an entire motorized squad into battle. The Hind is currently the best ground support helicopter in the world. Have you seen its double 30mm cannons?
I'm sure there are many that can rival it though I agree the hind is a beast a truly outstanding airframe I'm just saying America got nothing on this is a bold claim coming from someone who is highly unlikely to know anything about rotary winged aircraft and combat
Alex Adey Well, the U.S really doesn't operate anything like the Hind, so the OP was correct. After all, they don't use any helicopters with a 30mm gun that awesome, do they? They don't have anything that can transport a squad into battle while still being armed to the teeth and armoured to the toes, now do they? Heck, the Apache's "cheeks" are barely enough to stop assault rifle fire. They're sheet steel panels with kevlar lining inside, nothing more. But the Hind has windshields that can resist 12.7mm rounds.
dazzil89 You could put rocket pods on any helicopter you want and turn it into a gunship. It is common practice. The Russians themselves do it with the Mi-8TVK, but that makes it a Hind as much as it makes it an Apache. The Hind wasn't born and bred to be a tank killer like the Apache, but it can fulfil that role perfectly well. Transporting people and cargo isn't its only selling point. What it does best is transport squads into combat, and then stick around, blasting armoured targets with missiles and cannons just like an A-10. It's also perfectly fine to use the Hind if you need a helicopter to take out a platoon of tanks. The point is that it is multi purpose. Obviously they can't armour every nook and cranny, but they don't really need to. Not even the passenger compartment needs armour, because before the Hind enters combat, it will have dismounted the squad at the back. It's just empty space after that. Let the bullets go through! They'll just come out the other side, doing nothing in between! That was a very weak jab with that CoD remark. CoD is a first person shooter. Vehicles are generally not involved in the gameplay, but if they are, it is only as part of minigame.
The 4 barrelled .50 cal is probably a good choice of weapon to engage personal on the ground.
It spread rapid fire over a large area quite well.

America got nothing on this!
It's called the longbow and I think it's more then a match for the basic fact that the hind is bigger and slower as it's twice it's size

My Hurricane Mk IV is more accurate.
