Excellent video Jessica. I have finally started figuring PPD, TMS after about 10 months. I am just starting to apply this to my physical symptoms. It was a wake up call for me. Thank you for this video. Clear, concise and concrete.

This is so applicable if you have a chronic pain due to an old injury and if you are afraid of using that part of the body.

Awesome Jessica! Once the fear of long term structural damage is gone, the pain, numbness, spasms etc... will go away as well. Its very purpose of being a distraction turned into a conditioned response, will be finished.

Why is the "abnormality" placed on the person FEELING the pain????! Why are the stunted dullards who's bodies DONT tell them to stop due to damage set the bar for expectations of those of US who's bodies are evolved enough to protect us from further damage. This is insanity!! This is incredibly destructive to rational physician behavior and beliefs. I am an overworked RN - WE eventually all get injured. Now because of this type of BS my doctors are sending me back to work with tendonitis on MRI's from my wrist to shoulder. SHAME! MY INJURIES CORRELATE WITH PHYSICAL DAMAGE AND THESE WORK COMP MD MAGICAL THINKERS MAINTAIN IT"S IN MY HEAD. THIS BS NEEDS TO STOP.

I have to agree with this in some cases. The reason this work is so rampant is because most people are literally suffering from nothing. They bend over and call that an injury it’s not they wake up with pain and call that an injury it’s not or wake up one day with pain that turns chronic in all those scenarios above it’s obviously TMS. It’s hard to distinguish because you don’t know who the person is explaining their issues. I’m talking real injuries and whether or not they have in fact healed or not turning into TMS and whether that’s possible which I have yet to find. The other issue is all these TMS coaches swearing AlL problems are TMS that ALL injuries heal is imo a bunch of bullshit while I would love to believe this the body isn’t stupid if your muscles are constantly spasming it’s protecting it

she is very lucky . Doesn't work like that for a lot of people. like me. Some feelings and emotions are just so deeply imbedded that you need help getting at them and wont work by just reading dr sarnos books. and dr sarno says that in his books.

Absolutely, as soon as I hear or read that they had a book I just turn it off because it’s irrelevant to me

Forget about the emotions, just focus on getting rid of the pain. In my case i had to use very strong affirmations like i was being shouted at in the army like "do you have pain? Noooo" "Is it a normal abnormality? Yessss" constantly. Reading the book and using affirmations like" yeah, i have no pain" were too weak, and theres always room for doubt, but with that strategy you will believe it more strongly. Also i strongly affirmed to myself that there was no way i was going to get surgery

So if you’re hard headed, the subconscious won’t accept TMS as readily???
