Ok - I just have to say how much it makes my heart smile to see these boys learning how to work “SMART” - as a retired teacher - I have often thought that kids were not being taught to work and certainly not physical labor - this, is just too cool💗💗💗. And, while all of the boys work well, it’s that youngest one who uses logic WAY BEYOND his years and seems to be more like Dad!!!! Thank you Justin, for doing what YOUR DAD did not do for you and for being a role model for the younger ones who will take over where we left off ❤
I'm a retired teacher too and the young boy is impressive. He doesn't need to be told what to do . His instinct tells him naturally . For me , he was the star of the show , today . I love his question: Dad, who did work the hardest today. Dad didn't know what to answer to favor opne boy over the other but he could have said : Well, for one , I'm proud of you . Yhis boy have a promissing life in front of him. I wish him all the success he deserves.

I have a heavy duty chain that pulls the roots right out of the ground. It's not flexible like the strap. Great job cleaning up the property! I was literally just thinking that so many of my friends expect the worst. I, on the other hand, expect good, until I hear otherwise! This fits right in with the discussion about worry. I try not to worry about what might happen, but I do think about possibilities. That is very different from constantly worrying about what might be going wrong.
For a man whose Dad wasn't there for him as a young boy you are truly blessing your boys and it truly shows from the youngest to the eldest. Every job brings problems to resolve and it is teaching your son's invaluable lessons and they will have incredible memories of these special times you worked together. In turn they will pay it forward to their children. I hope there are men and boys out there who are learning how to live and raise children one day.

I found if I use a chain for pulling tree roots it works a whole lot better.

But you have to be careful- if it breaks it could whip around and kill you. We use recovery straps now for all our pulling
