Apart from the fact that this interview is great, and Dave seems so cool and clear minded, I figured something out. The last 3-4 years I was sad about Dave looking so broken and old, but I just figured it out. Its not his face that makes him look old. Its his hair. Yes thats it. They are strangely short, and his bangs are to the side, and not in front of his forehead as usually (his trademark)
DAVE, LET YOUR HAIR GROW LONGER AND BE FRESH AGAIN. I want a Deja Vu of the old image.

I believe Dave Mustaine is the most influential metal musician to date. He influenced too many to mention, even the big 4. My favorite guitarist is Jeff Waters and Dime, but you can't deny Dave's one of the best ever, his sound is everywhere. Keep making awesome music.

Why would the labels even care about getting airplay? Do radio stations even play 30 year old metal bands? At this point they just need to please their hardcore fans to have continued success, that's not gonna happen with radio friendly songs.

Yeah nice try Dave but even you can't ignore the hardcore punk bands that shredded and you should give credit where it's due because a lot of these bands were selling out the olympic auditorium when you were just pretending to have a band. China White, Wasted Youth, Tsol, Fear, The Detours(rikk agnew), the slashers, Hated, the screws, the blades, Fourth Reich, Black flag(greg ginn), D.I., dont know, the adolescents, the middle class, the vandals, ch 3, Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., Verbal Abuse, gang green, etc etc. Most are Socal bands too.
