I have so much respect for Dave Mustaine for coming out as a Christian in the world of heavy metal. Being Christian isn't necessarily popular. But he got sober and became a Christian and still plays bad ass heavy metal.
Hearing about Metallica's forgiveness with Mustaine just made me literally tear up. Glory to God.

Religion is good if you approach it the good way, I'm honestly glad and happy see that Dave, Alice, Lars and many other heavy metal singers have changed their self destructive life style to a more pacific and happy lifestyle, that's when you witness God and Christ changing lives for good, we don't know if they exist or don't, we don't have evidence, or if we do, If science is right and there's no god no Christ then that's ok, but we have to admit and I will call that a miracle even thought it may not be, but I consider a miracle to see lives that were going down the drain change for good.

Dave is a smart man, he's been my favorite metal front man for a while. I read his book and from the sound of it, God changed his life. Like he said, he went to rehab 12 times and then he quit drugs for good through God.
Jesus delivered me also from addiction when I called out to Him, in voice and tears , He did for me what I was unable to do for myself.
I grew up with Megadeath, Metallica, Slayer, Gwar, Alice Cooper, Ozzy , ACDC, all the greats of the day, now I only listen to some worship music but much isn't good either.

You’re young, get out now and you have your whole life in front of you. Maybe try some TOOL(band you might enjoy). I was personally under 10 years old when I found out for myself that my religion and family believed in bullshit. The thought experiment I used was: if God is all powerful then shouldn’t he have the power to be able to take away his powers completely in a way that denies him those powers permanently? Some of that might have come from the movie Bruce Almighty but anything for the objective truth. I was also scared of being tortured in hell since my father used to torture small animals but no pain no gain.

What I love about Dave is that I can identify with him. We both have a heart of gold but couldn't help but f*** our lives up and hurt others... until one day we find peace and purpose. His journey with religion is very different to mine but we both found ourselves through that journey.
It's great to see Dave Mustaine find God. It's a great testimony when someone who had it all finds that there is still emptiness inside without God.

I wish Dave Mustang could talk to my 23 year old son that's joining an 80s tribute band. He is a lead guitar player and when he isn't working he lives and breaths music. I have to admit he I pretty damb good. This is his dream in life the most important thing to him.. I just pray he has good guidance and doesn't go down to the crossroads to make a deal with the devil. I don't think he will because he is already a God fearing young man.

I am delighted to hear Dave's and Alice's message. I think its more about a connection to God as I understand him. I don't mean in the AA sense rather a real relationship w/ my dependence on Jesus and a consciousness of his will. Amends' making is an awesome experience. It helped me see the world differently and give peace and grace when facing adversity. Way to go Dave!!

Erinn Wright Randy was known for being fairly short. But I could see him being quiet and sweet. He always seemed to have a kind disposition.
It is important to remember these men have lived their entire lives in a rock n roll lifestyle pushed to extremes. They could not have done this as younger men. It took a bit of mellowing out.

But my mother wanted me to have a fun and happy childhood, so she celebrated my birthday and celebrated Christmas with me and the rest of the family, as well as let me have my friends who weren't of my religion. But still I feel Dave on this one

I had a kid in my class in 2nd grade that couldn’t participate in any Christmas singing concerts or any other special events because of his family’s religious beliefs. He and his older sister always had to go to the library. I always wondered how they felt being excluded.

Hey George, just curious how did you get David into Canada? As far as I know he has a criminal record ( I could be wrong), therefore he should be automatically inadmissible to Canada? You have a lot of American guests with criminal records, if anything shows up on your record you are barred form canada even as a tourist for 5-10 years.
