The brass 'makeup' box is actually a purse, early 60s? I have one almost exactly like it, but mine has a woven brass wristlet strap. Maybe yours is missing that part?
You're right, it could totally be a clutch!
Cleaning silver can be very easy! If you have a large sink… cover sink with foil and put a bunch of baking soda with water in the sink and let sit for several minutes. If it’s still not cleaning enough add a bit of salt. Turn as needed to get all sides until clean. It actually has worked better for me than polishing. When done rinse off and dry with a soft cloth and it will come out beautifully. If you don’t have a large enough sink do it in a large bucket or something!
I came here to say this too but I would add vinegar and boiling hot water to the mix
Thank you!! I hate cleaners so this sounds perfect!
Also, you can always let the buyer clean it, especially for a piece that large. I know you like to show your items in their best light & their best form (to get top dollar), but sometimes it's not worth your time to do all the work. Just let the buyer decide how (and if) they want to polish.
Haven't scrolled the comments to see if I'm telling you something that's already been said... that Fulper shallow bowl is worth anywhere from $175-300. Highly collectible!
Thank you! I'm excited to get it listed and see how it does. The color and shape are so beautiful on it.
I found this on ebay that sold for $237 plus shipping 😊
The large gold man you called an etching is a rubbing, I believe from England… not sure. My grandmother did a lot of them when she went overseas. Now, I heard they won’t let you do rubbings anymore. They come from graves. And people were wearing the images down… so they stopped the rubbings.
Fascinating! I had no idea. I love it even more!!
I just had to giggle when you were showing off both ceramic hands and gesticulating with your real hands while holding them. It was perfect 😂 6:43
OMG you're right! That section is incredibly handsy. ;) haha
I was so afraid you were going to break them!😮
Toothpaste for silver, a thin layer, and scrub with a dry cloth. It works pretty well.
Great tip! Thank you!
I think the woven piece would be such a cute hanging plant cover ;)
Yes!
I love the silver behemoth!
I love that you want to keep all your goodies....I'm the same way! I started a booth about a year ago and it's so fun to source all the cool things. It's just so hsrd to let them them leave the nest 😊
I tend to source what I like so it gets me into trouble! Haha 🤭
Well!!! Part two of epic sale, did not disappoint!!! So many amazing pieces... so many times I was speechless...!!! Thank u for these super enjoyable videos!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comments! Makes my day. :)
The framed needlepoint is a score! They sell well for me and some needlpoint and crewel kits
I should look for kits too! Great idea!
You crack me up keeping stuff
OMG the Fulper is everything! Excellent pickup 🎉
I found it hidden under a table under magazines. I'm so excited to see if it sells well!
I would love to see a video on how you do your direct IG sales. I'm so glad I found your channel! ❤
Great - On the list!
The gold soldier on black is my favorite. I think you should take him to your first flea market sale.
Agree, I think it would be very eye-catching!
This was definitely an epic haul. You did not disappoint! I wish I had been there.
Thank you! And I totally forgot to mention that this estate is going to have ANOTHER sale of stuff in two weeks!!!! Apparently there were three houses and several storage units of stuff.
Hi Andi! I have used this technique with silverware but never something this large. It worked great for me. If you try it, let us know how it worked! Place foil-wrapped items into the bucket, tub or pot. Heat enough water to completely cover the foil-wrapped items. Carefully pour the hot water over the items in the tub and add 1 cup of baking soda per gallon of water. Allow items to soak for up to 30 minutes, depending on how heavily tarnished.
Thank you! I have some small pieces I may try it on! :)
I have done this with several pieces of small sterling silver. It actually only took a couple minutes, came out super dark, but with a microfiber cloth cleaned right up with little effort and rubbing.
I tried that method on several things and felt that afterward I was never able to bring back the high shine of the silver. Somehow matte or muted.
Take that big plate the teal and green one mount it on an vintage base and you'll have a bird bath.
OMG ANDY THE BRASS FRAME ….. Andi everything I’m so excited
I love estate sales like this so many great items. Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome!
You can put a flower frog on the big pottery bowl with an ikebana arrangement and it would stunning as a table scape.
I love this idea!!
that silver bowl is unbelievable
And it's actually valuable. Which is a crazy development for something was on the fence about. haha
The single candlestick is my favorite! Great shopping Andi!
It really was such a unique one. I wish there would have been two!
That large silver piece would be beautiful with existing patina and a draping pretty plant. Would be stunning!
Oh my gosh I’m in love with everything lol ❤🙋🏻♀️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks friend!! :)
Those prices are so good. So far all the estate sales I've been to have been overpriced.
The prices were wildly good! I honestly couldn't believe it.
Cleaning sliver wrap in tinfoil and baking soda pour boiling hot water over. I clean my grandmother's sliced place silverware from 1925 this way. You might have to get creative with the large bowl and might have to do this more then two or three times, but it works.😊
Thank you for the tip!! :)
That silver bowl looks great just the way it is. If you polish it and has scratches that you cannot see with the patina, you ruined it. I love boxes too. I collect art and architecture books, but do sell some of them in my antique booth.
For this one I will keep the patina! Which I'm sure will surprise everyone!
@@AllPutTogether Good decision. If someone really wants it and would rather polish it, then they'll buy it.
Hi,Andi! Love all of your finds, but the Fulper I have to say is probably my favorite. I collect vintage pottery, and have pieces that fit in with my mission style/arts & crafts period. Fulper is right there. I saw the same piece listed on eBay, and there are some details that may be of interest to you if you haven’t searched this yet. I think your bowl looks to be the larger size (the one in the link I’m sharing is 13” and the seller references a 15”) I think he is spot on that this would be a great display piece on a large coffee table/dining table. I also think it could be amazing if you could somehow utilize it as a watering bowl for birds outdoors. Amazing find, I would have jumped on anything that said Fulper no matter what it was and that glaze is gorgeous. 🩵💚
Thank you!! I have not done any research so very helpful to know that the bowl comes in more sizes. This is the first time I had ever heard of this make, so I am definitely on the hunt now!
That gravestone rubbing is fantastic.
Had no idea that's what it was until the comments on this video. Now I like it even more!
Actually it seems BKF is not good for silver, oops! But personally, I wouldn’t bother cleaning this particular huge bowl, the patina looks incredible on it!
I looked up sold comps on this bowl and it's worth A LOT of money apparently. lol Most of the solds were unpolished so I think I will keep the patina!
❤️the birds in blac!
Love everything
Thx!! ☺️
the ceramic piece would be a beautiful bird bath
It totally would! I love that idea. :)
I’m so happy you sold the Picasso book for what we sold it for!! And quick! Hell yea 😂🙌🏼
Thank you for telling my a price!! I appreciate it. It sold so flipping fast - now I need to find more!
Wow! So many awesome finds! My fave is the little embroidered birds on black velvet! 💓💓💓
Thank you! Those sweet birds flew out of my Etsy shop so fast! :)
That is a really cute piece.
Love the silver planter/bowl. There is a method using silver foil and/or baking soda with hot water that you can google. Years ago, I tried what was recommended - a pan of boiling water with silver foil dotted in it, for small items, boil for few mins. Worked quite well.
Thank you! I have some small silver items I will have to try this technique with!
Too much sourcing, not enough listing!!! 😂 The resellers dilemma😂
Tell me about it! ugh! I usually try and list everything before the videos go live.
Great haul Andi! You have a great eye for fantastic pieces. The boxes are really beautiful. I really enjoy watching your haul videos.
Thank you so much!
Could the black & gold etching be a rubbing? My father used to have some similar pieces. I believe people used to take black paper to ancient carvings and create their own art / rubbings. I love it
Yes, I'm just now learning that that is what they are. So interesting!
Your indecisive rightfully so Andi love it…
I clean silver with standard tooth paste, it usually does the trick.
THANK YOU! I've been looking for a more natural, scent free way to do it. Now I know what to use all the dentist mini tubes for!
Sell the silver bowl as is. Some people like that patina. If they don't they can clean it themselves.
Agree! I don't have the time to clean that beast!
Love the replica wall art, great pic up. Of course you’ll change your decor within 10 years…
I'm going to have such a hard time selling that piece.
I always pick up good art picture books and I sold a Chanel book years ago for 75.00 and I paid .50 cents at an estate sale I love that last big painting
I would love to find a Chanel book! :)
I’ve cleaned silver with BKF before. Not sure it’s recommended, but it works! Works very well with copper too. Or you can buy Silvo, which is from the same makers as Brasso if I’m not mistaken, but it smells a lot better than Brasso 😅
Amazing Andi...👌
So many amazing things!
Thx!
The Red Box can just represent items you Love…
It really is such a lovely piece!
Id love to see your virgin mary collection ❤️
So do you not list holiday items all year? We sell Christmas items all year long!
I usually list them around August.
Is the bowl real silver or plated.? If it’s real silver that’s a lot of silver. Wow!
It's silver plated and I just learned it's worth thousands!! It's by a famous midcentury designer.
10:15 it’s going to take a minute to clean that silver behemoth
Right?! It's huge!
Hi Andy, i would love to purchase the round ornate brass picture frame. Please list!
I'm so sorry, it already sold!
Awe 😢
Great for you!! Hopefully I will find one out in the wild.
Thank you so much for your prompt response.
It's called copying a painting.
It's amazing how well done it is.
