I've never seen a shiny show up in a gba pokemon game. Maybe someday! I found a shiny Oddish in my Alpha Sappire and a shiny Ribombee in Moon. They are my only legit shinies.
I actively hunt for mine in the older games where they are more rare and I have way to many lmao i spend a lot of my free time shiny hunting because I enjoy it but I’ve had some crazy long hunts my 21k encounter hunt for a venonat is currently my longest but I am currently at 16k so we will see
My only full odds shinies so far are a Roserade and Crobat both in my Platinum version. They were both randoms and I got them within 3 days of each other. I have not been as lucky since. HOWEVER, I am currently shiny hunting Giratina which has not gone very well so far.
I had no idea what a shiny was since my first pokemon game was emerald and I got a shiny wurmple completely unaware. But fortunately I wasn't a dumbass so I didn't kill it but unfortunately I've lost the save file for it over 9 years ago.

@@StraightEdgeSieghart Not entirely. Someone is in the process of making a dongle that convgerts gen 2 trades to gen 3 trades so you can transfer a pokemon and keep it legitimately in home and bank. They even tested a gen 2 pokemon and the only one that wasn't allowed in was a machamp with fissure because it wasn't in the legal moveset

@@stardust2360IDK why but whenever I screen record anything from gen 8 on my switch, it always has the audio boosted. Sometimes I forget that the audio is loud so when I'm scrolling through my Switch's album, they always blast my ears off headphones or not.
Tip: don’t shiny hunt in generation 5 and under because those games have 1/8192 odds I think compare to gen 6 and up because those games have 1 in 4000 somewhere around that and ultra sun and moon after the Pokémon league maybe before you have very high odds to find shiny in ultra wormholes it’s more common than finding chips and salsa at a Mexican restraunt (not literally)
@@yhouria I think hunting in gen 5 and below is the best part of shiny hunting. It feels good if you catch one without boosted odds from wormholes and stuff and it just feels much more rewarding to catch it with an 1/8192 chance than with an 1/4096 chance.

It was my very first encounter after beating Lance and I thought it was just some powered up version that started appearing since I beat the game. I immediately chucked an Ultra Ball, caught it first try, and still have that Pidgeot to this day. It’s now in my copy of Brilliant Diamond.

The way they made a great shiny sparkle animation in Gen 5, but then the transition to 3D took 3 gens to make it look good again is kinda funny. XY sparkles are really bad SM sparkles not bad but underwhelming and the large Star is stupid SS went back to make it look really good again and gave it a satisfying sound effect.

You just CANNOT, out do the original. Gen 2 has my favorite sparkles, noise, and level of surprise bc it’s grey when you first see it, so you can’t see if its shiny before it sparkles and gains color

You just CANNOT, out do the original. Gen 2 has my favorite sparkles, noise, and level of surprise bc it’s grey when you first see it, so you can’t see if its shiny before it sparkles and gains color
Ok sparkles goes to gen 4 but you get the point
And the shinies look so saturated and gorgeous in gen 2
