Just a word of advice from a technician, have a set of airlift air bags and a wireless one compressor system put on your truck. Will help with the weight of the camper and the boat and give a much more stable and comfortable ride!! The camper is a great addition and look forward to seeing the new boat!
If you need air bags, you bought the wrong truck, end of story. A factory suspension on an appropriately loaded vehicle will handle a boat or camper with no problem.
*I used to install bags on a weekly basis, i even put them on my own trucks for a time and they work beautifully, but you’re band-aiding an overloading problem.
@@Jonnyringo271 I agree 100%, I install them weekly as well and have an insane amount of half tons come through for the same thing. That being a coil spring rear end, they tend to sag more quickly than leaf springs of the same payload rating. That was why I suggested what I did. Not saying the payload of the truck isn’t rated for what is being hauled, just trying to help the longevity of the truck.
In this video he posted years ago show that the truck comes equipped with the factory Air Suspension, which in my own testing will keep the truck from squatting with twice the payload in the truck. ua-cam.com/video/9A1kG1Gym_o/v-deo.html

I bought a school bus for 3k 7.3 powerstroke Allison tranny.. Laid hardwood shower toilet 65 inch tv and 2 twinzies.. Ended up with less then 6k in the bus.. Pull boat and all.. Did the camper but mine was a pull behind big ups to the fam

Saw u went thru St.louis,and probly right past the Highland,ill exits where we live Ben.Looks like Max is getting big.When we had the Boat Biz we sold several Brands that were manufactured up in Northern Indiana (starcraft,smokercraft,sylvan)and we drove up there many,many,many times to pick-up new boats.Thats also home to a bunch of Camper manufacturing facilities and there's also a large Amish population in that area so it's not uncommon to see the horses and buggies traveling thru the country-side,kinda a neat area up there and some of the rivers/creeks flowing out of the great Lakes offer decent multi Species fishing for most of the year.
