@@dagilligan Hax is one lucky bastard to take blaster hits like that
im not even joking, id pay to watch a series of this, everything was perfect, the animation and the voice acting particularly
SITH TROOPERS!!! Loacher, you’ve really outdone yourself with this one.
When he said "nothing beats a good blaster at your side " I could almost hear Ewan as Obi Wan say "so uncivilized"
On a side note that was really well done, the walking/running animations were a bit choppy, but hey I couldn't have done a single frame of this so there's that too.
I’m guessing they call him Hax because the enemy players calling out “Hacks!”.
This 6 minutes has been better than the 6 hours of the sequel triology
*_GLAD TO KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS_*
Man, we need more Old Republic trooper elated content. That armor is perhaps the coolest the set of armor I've ever seen in Star Wars, and that's even up against RC Kitarn armor.
I love using the set on my trooper and companions
@@ethanbolger6690 I've never actually played the game, but in the Edge of the Empire game my friends and I play, my DM gave my trandnoshan mercenary a power armor variant of it... I am now nearly unstoppable in combat, and look sleek as hell while doing it.
Love your work 🔥
Why we still haven't receive Star Wars Old Republic movie. We should have got this instead of the sequel trilogy.
Facts
Don’t want dinsey ruined old Republic era and darth revan.
@@xxcaptninjaxx4301 i know right, i prefer bioware to direct it as they did for the SWTOR trailers and cutscenes
you didn't receive it because it's not canon
@@Amira-rg3sk because of disney it's not
I adore how emotionless you made the Empires troops almost like machines where as the Republic soldiers are more human checking on each other and having banter. It’s just a great bit of story telling the authoritarian Empire vs the freedom loving Republic.
If I remember correctly (I don’t have much experience with old republic lore) the Republics soldiers where people, not clones like during the clone wars, so these were people that had probably trained together for years and had become close friends.
@@think4181 Yes the old republic forces were made up of a mix of races mainly humans who volunteered or pressed into service.
Just not fan of their helmets very distracting have no idea what part of the helmet is what compared to the Republic troopers who’s deigns just come together so well.
They're not emotionless, we the viewers just don't have access to their comms.
The "two - there - go" sign that the sniper gave could have easily been just supplementary to the radio banter.
Yeah that was a nice touch.
the real sith troopers.
great work man! you are one of the best animators I know. you can do things I could never even hope to do. I've always been intrigued by the old republic era, but I was never able to play the games because I'm broke as hell. glad you made an animation about them.
*sees image of Red sith troopers from the Sequels*
Perfection
Loved the look of the trooper’s armor. Very well done.
Congratulations to all who participated in this amazing film, proud to being part of the Loacher great army
Glad to be apart of the production! FOR THE REPUBLIC!
Nice music mate!
Its quality content time
This is revolutionizing Star Wars fan films
The possibilities are endless with CG that good !
If they ever make a show about the Old Republic, they need to contact you. We just met these Old Republic Troopers, and already we love them. Well done mate!
3:28 at this scene for some reason, i forgot i was watching an animation, and i thought that it was a cutscene of a game, and that i would be able to control the character.
That was really strange
Hmm
Would make a pretty sick game tho to be honest, I can already see how it plays out
3:53 was that moment for me
Yo, same
@@CalRizz Star Wars the Old Republic 2 would be a most likely title for it lol
NPC's in SWTOR when there is no one around. Then the moment a Player shows up they become idiots.
Idk what u talking about
Well, I would say that it kinda seemed like the Sith troopers in this vid, did not use coms, checking on one another like the Reps did. Which is why they always lose I suppose.
@@Hammern28 i mean they lost in the end but in TOR the battles not always end with a republican victory.
@@bcunt2639 Most of them ended in an imperial victory as long as the Sith behind them did not start to waste resources and kill oneanother for power plays or just sacrificed troops for no real reason.
@@Thareldis I would disargree. There are a lot of battles lost because of sith infighting but its definitly not the norm. We also have to remember that the infighting is a part of the empire just like the corruption is for the republic.
6 minutes of this gave me a better star wars feeling than 6 hours of the sequel trilogy. Good job man hope you make it further!
This is so cool one of the best films I've seen especially since they went to old republic where there were on cammandos and with troopers
This is probably exactly how the battle would go too if this actually was to happen
i could really see dave being in charge of an old republic series
This is way too good...
I should be paying for stuff like this
It’s Beautiful. I’ve looked at this for five hours now
you're making all my childhood lego star wars animation dreams come true, i feel that story telling again
"thats a 2nd direct hit you survived today! You good?"
"yeah...oh... lets not get a 3rd one though! i think i had my fill..."
okay... THAT was gold
Very gold
No it wasn't, it was Diamond.
It’s so sad that Disney has neglected old republic. At least fans make amazing shorts like this
Why are you sad? Would you like them to ruin The Old Republic era as well? I think we've had enough of their trilogies.
Aleksandar Stojanovic for real
Don't you fuckin dare to let them ruin TOR. If they want to waste money on High Republic, sure, but don't touch TOR.
@Shayan I don't blame Disney, only LucasFilm and it's directors. Kennedy and her puppets are like poison.
Well considering disney level of competence, I don't want them to touch the old republic.
YES! Someone giving the old republic the love it deserves! It's so awesome to see quality film-making done on these Star Wars shorts. Great great work!
Who else thinks that Disney should really do something with the Old Republic era?
No thanks.
I agree. They need some love too.
i want an old republic series but with what happened(the sequels and all) I'm scared to see what Disney would do to it
@Isaac Altman Agreed, Kathleen can go and get fired pls.
I want an old republic series but like I hope that it’s with Dave filoni or a like minded person
The only person I would trust to do a full scale KotOR series would be Dave Filoni, but I am a bit saddened that I heard he wanted to do a short series for Bad Batch instead of paying tribute to Delta Squad Republic Commandos which is what people actually want.
I don't see why the Bad Batch wouldn't cameo Commandos
Good thing he doesnt care about fan service
dave filoni is cool, but dont trust him too much, he's on record shittalking fans... altho i still agree he's a good director and would love to see more from him, maybe he can redeem himself if he does something like the clone wars again
Chris Avelonne (I think that's how you spell it) would be a good choice for lead writer. He was the mastermind behind Kotor 2.
KV Productions He was shit talking fans saying that they don’t know What George thought of Star Wars. Most fans of Star Wars think it’s the one of the greatest sci-fi franchises; however, he knows that Star Wars is more a celebration of different cultures and cinema.
Better gunfight than the entire Disney Trilogy. And the voice acting alone is top notch.
I like how you managed to insert real-life tactics into this to make it feel a little more realistic. Congratulations, excelent film. (and man, Disney should start hiring this fan animators, seriously, i've seen some pro-level editting there!)
When loacher films makes something awesome:
Not a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
I cant begin to tell you the amount of joy this brought me, seriously amazing is an understatement this was art and passion. Whenever I see you post I know its gonna be great! Defiantly gonna share this around absolutely fantastic work!
How does this guy have under 1 million?
Honestly, everything is so smooth, and the envitonments are beautiful. Keep doing what you do Loacher!
Even tho i have no idea what the old republic is i still geniuenly enjoyed this film, such a great piece of both work AND art.
Can we just appreciate how much not only the story telling has improved, but also how much better the animation has been getting? This is amazing!
I love this. I would love more videos like this.
My only criticism is that some of the walking is a bit robotic looking, but everything else is top notch. The visuals, effects, sound, and action sequences are awesome :)
As much I love the Clone Wars and the Grand Army of the Republic, a game like this would be epic to play
Swtor
Its called knights of the old republic 1 and 2.
And the old republic on pc.
???? The old republic exists because we have them in video games
Very nice work.
I want a Gary just going home to his wife and playing games with the kids. I want stormtrooper argument over who does the dishes.
"Establish a perimeter" everyone proceeds to stand still.
Lol I noticed that too. I guess it’s just second hand nature from being in the military. They are bunched up anyways but hey they’re clones. Typical Star Wars scenery😂
@@Froggy1000 Actually these guys aren't clones!
Old Republic soldiers were regular enlisted people
yeah, lmao - the clones were the soldiers from the clone wars. these dudes were regular enlisted people, like taylor said
@@Froggy1000 Well these are people, not clones, maybe they are new guys? heh
I was listening to the voices, watching the animations taking in everything and it takes me back to the good old days of Red vs Blue..Holy cow man this was amazing
this is really, really good. I like that they add more than just "I'll cover you" by also saying that what they are doing is suppressive fire because TOO MANY times have i just heard; I'll shoot aimlessly into the sky and that will explain everything. Great work! I know this is unfair to say but the film was a little choppy at the beginning, but then again i could barely tell.
This looks like this would be a cutscene for a video game!
This is how playing war with friends at recess in elementary feels like
Just put this guy in charge of Star Wars films from now on
This armor is perfect, it has a great design, and I would definitely approve it as a phase 3 if I had one, I'm not counting the one from the storm tropper era
Lets be honest, if disney touches old republic it's forever gone...
No the Sequels were awesome
@@dwightwashere7174 the sequels were a mess that couldn't decide what It wanted to do, it just rehashed the original trilogy, it went nowhere and didn't accomplish anything, it was empire vs rebels round 2 but now everyone is dead lol
Dwight Was Here Funny joke lol.
Good thing i quit the game recently, awaiting disney to swoop in and destroy the era
Dwight Was Here sequels were a mess, even Daisy Ridley admitted that
Shows how the fans have more love and appreciation for the franchise than the multi million dollar company that craps out half assed sludge and gets mad when we call them out for it. Great job on this! I would watch this 20 times before I watched any of the sequels.
If you can increase the fluidity and imperfections of the characters movements then these films will be flawless.
I love how both the republic and the jedi gradually lost drip as time went
Tell me how this video is way better than the whole sequel trilogy.
in every way possible
4:03 miss this brutal stuff in Star Wars, best part outta the whole film!
I was confused and amazed at this funky new armor until I read 'The Old Republic' in the title. I'm not confused, but I'm no less amazed!
Did you understand anything cause I, was bamboozled by the fact that there were both empire and republic troopers fighting against each other. Is this canon?
@@lukekor this is a fan made film i’m guessing but this time period most likely takes place 1000 years before the attack on coruscant. SWTOR and KOTOR are both canon and this is a fan made film based in this time period
@@lukekor Even if it was official, it would fall under the Legends canon instead of _canon_ canon.
@@thehonestfork thanks for the explanation :)
@@wimpwampwomp oh okay, got it ;)
Those 6 min are probably better than the whole sequel trilogy.
Probably? Certainly is more like it
Not gonna lie, you could create a really good Star Wars series.
This was fantastic I really "felt" the combat. Talking strategy over just random action. Even getting into a bit of melee. Great Job.
I wish we would’ve gotten a Star Wars Battlefront 2 update that was the old republic
Great job, this is what STAR WARS is all about, substance and good story telling. Keep up the good work Loacher Films!!!😀👍
This right here, this is it. True talent.
This is amazing, You totally should make more with these Old republic troopers Great work!
still better than what the havoc armor was IN GAME.
It’s so fucking stupid that this guy doesn’t have the amount of subscribers like mr. beast does or whoever else. These animations seem ridiculously hard to pull off and the quality is outstanding! Why doesn’t this guy have at least 6 million subs.
