he knew if the mandalorians could potentionally rally supporters if enough of them survived to start a rebellion, so he massacred them all, least most of them, unfortunately the stolen fleet did not happen yet and even after that not many of them where left since they scattered across the galaxy to live in hiding
No it's not, stormtroopers were not used for the destruction of Mandalor clones were still the back bone of the empire, besides stormtroopers are inferior to clones and the 223rd clone legion under Rex had a hard enough time with the sege of Mandalor. What makes you think that inferior stormtroopers would be any better?
@thewolf1047 Yes it is. It’s confirmed that the Empire sent troops into Mandalore and annihilated the Mandalorian defenders and forced Bo Katan to surrender. They glassed the planet after. The Empire is more armed and capable of open warfare than what you give them credit for. Rex and his clones had it easy because the Mandalorians were still divided, some under Bo-Katan and some under Maul. Here the Mando‘s were United. Yet they still got beaten by the Empire because the Empire isn’t retarded and are an actual military force that you don’t screw around with. Yet the Mando‘s did and paid a heavy price.
what Bo-Katan failed to understand was this was not a war between equal powers, or a conquest it was a punishment from their Emperor for their defiance, there is no forgiveness for disobedience, for defying the emperor, siding against him there is only one outcome, death, and so mandalore burned in fire of his wrath
She knew the empire was stronger, but i think she didnt think they would care. Wouldnt see them as a threat on the map. The imperial occupation on mandalora was rather a faction warfare rather than pure imperial. I think Gideon had a purpose there, he fought it very personally.
The Empire never actually occupied Mandalore. They attacked the mandalorians on the planet, then they turned the planet surface to slag by using the Star Destroyers heavy turbolasers and Tie Bombers. The few mandalorians that survived the spanking from the Emperor spread out across the galaxy, as Boba Fett did.

The Imperial Academy definitely taught the history of the age of the Mandalorian Crusades. Their elimination is definitely a victory from the point of view of an ordinary Imperial, demonstrating the strength of the imperial army and navy without the presence of a Death Star, and I, being an Imperial, admire this animation. Thank you for such interesting and high-quality content. Good luck in the further development of the channel. Glory to the Empire!
My only critiques are minor ones: like the munitions patches the Stormtroopers are wearing actually come from the First Order design set and Gideon is wearing his Remnant Warlord design rather than his at-the-time accurate deseign of an Imperial Security Bearau Agent. It was only following the Great Purge of Mandalore that he was granted the title and honor of Imperial Moff, Governor of the Mandalore Sector.
@@SirDinzhi You're welcome! A concept I personally have concieved to help re-habilitate the Sequel Trilogy Is the following: keep the concept of Starkiller Base but instead of It being a third Death Star, have It be a gigantic planet-sized shipyard capable of hyperspace travel. Immagine: A loud siren starts blearing, lights flashing, the rumbling sound of millions of tons of earth, stone and foiliage. The earth starts to shudder. Shake and... Lift? From orbit, on the bridge of the Finalizer, General Hux beams with pride. His beloved creation stirring from it's slumber! The planet's crust starts to lift, moving with the force of giant hydraullics powered by the planet's core itself. The crust, now lifted, parts upwards to reveal: a series of newly assembled Resurgeant-class Star Destroyers all surging forward on their Mayden Voyage. Ready to bring Order and Security to the Galaxy once more! What do you think?
I think the Mandalorian warriors aren't entirely equipped with Beskar armor, but only the most elite ones are, considering the very rarity of this metal. Although Beskar was then in the Imperial possession, they could not mass produce equipments from it
Thanks to who ever made this, it was awsome. Loved the Kung fu scene. Allways said Jedi should be martial arts masters as well as Saber masters. This was classic Star Wars! Well done
There are stories and eras of Legends in which the Imperial Machine - and the Stormtrooper Corps in particular - are portrayed as terrifyingly efficient, well-trained, well-resourced, and therefore functionally unstoppable. But it's the *combination* of all of those things, including the resources - that made them so fearsome. As you show at the end, the Purge was effected with numbers and air support. But a small unit of stormies able to merc an equally sized unit of Mandalorians? That part was tough to swallow.
Now THIS is how the story should've been shown to us. Not a short clip and a throwaway line but a full fledged episode covering the battle. This makes the deception so much more clear and impactful. Well done on this and thank you so much!
Awesome! But I really want to know more of the backstory. It’s hard to think that Mandalore fell that easily. Some sort of intelligence must’ve broken down. I WANT A SERIES MADE!
If we actually saw this in Mandalorian that would’ve been so much better! You have done amazing work and put more emotion, passion and storytelling into a production then Disney EVER will! Remember that! You are BETTER than a multi Billion dollar company! NEVER STOP! Please give us more!

This is really great. I do love that this shows that when the Empire ABANDONS all effort for control and decides to instead destroy, they are VERY good at it. Others see this as how Disney fails to portray the Empire as anything but incompetent, but that's looking at it the wrong way. The Empire seeks mostly to CONTROL the galaxy, not destroy it. But in this case, the Purge of Mandolore, is a case of the Empire abandoning all desire to control them and instead just destroy them. So they no longer need to hold back. No need to fight and subjugate. Just slaughter them completely. No worry about civilian casualties, no worry about losing resources, none of that. They can just raze everything to the ground.
Congratulations, this was captivating, thrilling, powerful, mesmerising, sad, emotive . . . well could go on; just could not stop watching. The way scenes are framed and the visuals depicted.
Wish we had an amazing yet heartbreaking scene like this in The Mandalorian Season 3 instead of just an exposition from Bo-Katan. Remember Mandalore! 😢

@@darthdracul8372 what are too talking about. It's a basic rule of storytelling, show, NOT tell. Plus, why would it be better? It's information that gives meaning and background to an event that developed at least 5 named characters

This was so enjoyable to watch, thank you! Loved the feel of the whole thing, the unexpected twists, and the at times all-out dramatically animated scenes were very refreshing!
I don't think Gideon would evacuate his troopers before bombarding Mandalore. He is unlike Thrawn. While Tharawn cares about his soldiers and have respect for them, Gideon is coward and nacisist. I think he never withdrew his units from battle.
This is a different Gideon before the fall of the Empire. He isn't desperate and cocky because his empire is still here. I personally prefer the competent and more badass Gideon portrayed here. A good use of his character. Besides, its freggin Gustavo Fring in space. Cold and calculating.
Such an important battle as this and you expect him to waste troops and not get screwed over by Tarkin or some higher up. He'd be lucky if he pulled something like that off.
Despite being based off of the events described in the Mandalorian Season 3, this short is so many times better. It actually showcases stormtroopers as an elite and deadly force, which is something we need to see so much more of, and (unlike Mando s3) the Mandalorians can and will be killed by shooting the holes in the beskar (wheras in Mando s3 the Mandalorians lost not a SINGLE soul other than Paz). Sure the Mandalorians have better warriors, but there's not much you can do against a swarm of tie bombers. It felt very epic, and you knew as soon as Bo-Katan received a transmission what was about to happen. Also Moff Gideon looked very epic.
This one right here is dope. Great explanation of how she lost the saber. The images of the bombardment where extremely vivid. I would love to see how she got off the planet.
Looks like Clan Mudhorn has gained some additional recruits🤔They also time travelled as Clan Mudhorn was created during the time of the New Republic🤷🏽♂
This is on par with Rogue One and Andor in terms of realism (grim war, Imperials DO damage, etc.) and a lot better than most Star Wars stuff out there! Only advice would be to make the voices a bit louder compared to the sfx sounds, other than that it's great!
I really liked this animation not just because of how good it was and the great directing. But how it actually had competent Imperial Stormtroopers that felt like actual soldiers instead of bodies to drop to the main character.
Finally, an accurate portrayal of what Imperial forces are capable of, one that has stakes and consequences. This was amazing to watch.

of all time that I have ever seen. I was really impressed.
Amazing!!!
The Stormtrooper Army is with a perfect aim.
Very much enjoyed this video. Loved that you included the mass TIE Bomber formation conducting the carpet bombings and even enjoyed the destruction of the capital. Got a good little laugh that you used the M777 Howitzer and Star Wars'd it for the video
Thank you! I was hoping someone would notice the space howitzer lol, i loved the design of that artillery and i thought it would look better adding it into the animation
I have seen more crudeness of belligerence in this short than in most series and movies we have so far, great work.
For Mandalor¡¡¡ This Is The Way
Thank you! ❤
This video has the approval of the sepratist alliance. Our lord Count Dooku is most pleased with your talents, civilian.
Awesome work!!
Great job to everyone involved.
Some of the Best Star Wars work we saw in the past 5 years....or more. ;) :)
Congrats..... and thanks for sharing that with us. :)
Thank you! I'm very glad you liked my film 😊
Finally competent stormtroopers! This is a dream come true!
My boys out there getting after it
The Imperial Academy definitely taught the history of the age of the Mandalorian Crusades.
Thank you ❤
My only critiques are minor ones: like the munitions patches the Stormtroopers are wearing actually come from the First Order design set and Gideon is wearing his Remnant Warlord design rather than his at-the-time accurate deseign of an Imperial Security Bearau Agent. It was only following the Great Purge of Mandalore that he was granted the title and honor of Imperial Moff, Governor of the Mandalore Sector.
Thank you!! I appreciate the feedback
12:01 That was a nice touch, the crash, followed by the delayed boom. Even well funded productions miss subtleties like that.
This just shows --- fans are doing the best work.
I think the Mandalorian warriors aren't entirely equipped with Beskar armor, but only the most elite ones are, considering the very rarity of this metal. Although Beskar was then in the Imperial possession, they could not mass produce equipments from it
It was both awesome and completely horrifying…
Thanks to who ever made this, it was awsome. Loved the Kung fu scene. Allways said Jedi should be martial arts masters as well as Saber masters. This was classic Star Wars! Well done
Thank you! Appreciate the positive comment 🙏 ❤️
That stormtrooper Commander has hands🔥
Marvelously done, and story accurate even storm troopers were not useless, they did quite ok
4:40
That Stormtrooper must be an Echani with the way he just immediately pulls out the martial-arts and starts literally kicking ass!
With a nice little Filoni makeover, this could have been an awesome Star Wars Rebels Episode.
Now THIS is how the story should've been shown to us. Not a short clip and a throwaway line but a full fledged episode covering the battle. This makes the deception so much more clear and impactful. Well done on this and thank you so much!
I should be the one thanking you! 😅 You've supported my channel by watching and commenting it that means a lot to me 👍
@@SirDinzhi oh I subbed so fast today lol. Hoping for more like this someday. Thank you
Very nicely done. Awesome portrait of how Mandalore fell to the Empire.
Keep this up!!🔥. It’s phenomenal work. Keep on making Star Wars films🙏🏼🔥.
The moment we were waiting for! It has arrived!
Awesome! But I really want to know more of the backstory. It’s hard to think that Mandalore fell that easily. Some sort of intelligence must’ve broken down. I WANT A SERIES MADE!
They didn't loose easily. The Emps sustained massive losses on the ground and the air.
My Empire: right or wrong. 💪🏻
I noticed that the Stormtroopers have the same package that First Order ones.
If we actually saw this in Mandalorian that would’ve been so much better! You have done amazing work and put more emotion, passion and storytelling into a production then Disney EVER will! Remember that! You are BETTER than a multi Billion dollar company! NEVER STOP! Please give us more!
High key probably my favorite Star Wars fan animation alongside that GCW Liberation of Coruscant animation.
Thanks man that means a lot 🙏
@@SirDinzhi do you have any other ideas for animations that take place in the Star Wars universe?
@@anticitizenokapi4634 i have no plans on making a star wars project right now im currently working on a fallout fan film, maybe after that I’ll probably make another star wars fan project focusing on a life of a stormtrooper
@@SirDinzhi 👀 I look forward to it
This is really great.
This. This is what I want put of my Stormtroopers. That commander was bad ass.
Yes! Right? I almost didn’t recognize them!
This is what should’ve happened in the Mandalorian. This is how they should’ve fought
The Night of a thousand tears. Great Job 👍 This is the way
Congratulations, this was captivating, thrilling, powerful, mesmerising, sad, emotive . . . well could go on; just could not stop watching. The way scenes are framed and the visuals depicted.
Wish we had an amazing yet heartbreaking scene like this in The Mandalorian Season 3 instead of just an exposition from Bo-Katan.
Remember Mandalore! 😢
Same, we went from having some minimal but valuable flashback sequences in Mando S1/2/Boba, to have none in Mando 3/Ahsoka, just people telling what happened...lame
@@GonzaloAhumadaCastro-jr5sj sometimes it’s better not to know
@@darthdracul8372 what are too talking about. It's a basic rule of storytelling, show, NOT tell. Plus, why would it be better? It's information that gives meaning and background to an event that developed at least 5 named characters
I really hope they'll show us this in season 4 of The Mandalorian. IT would bei awesome
@@STERNI85 at this point, now that Din and Grogu are not focused on the mandalore stuff, and mandalore is free and being rebuild seeing a flashback of its destruction would be pointless unless we are developmentally Bo Katan or some new character who was in during Purge (Din wasn't so he won't be it)
This was so enjoyable to watch, thank you! Loved the feel of the whole thing, the unexpected twists, and the at times all-out dramatically animated scenes were very refreshing!
This Star wars fan film is breathtaking & the characters everything about it brilliant
I don't think Gideon would evacuate his troopers before bombarding Mandalore. He is unlike Thrawn. While Tharawn cares about his soldiers and have respect for them, Gideon is coward and nacisist. I think he never withdrew his units from battle.
The Empire is still in charge at this point, so he has to.
@@yrooxrksvi7142ironic they are doing captain America winter soldier in Ashoka and new republic ignorance got them blown up in sequels
This is a different Gideon before the fall of the Empire. He isn't desperate and cocky because his empire is still here. I personally prefer the competent and more badass Gideon portrayed here. A good use of his character. Besides, its freggin Gustavo Fring in space. Cold and calculating.
he wouldn’t squander valuable resources
Very well done. This is probably the most thorough animated fan projects I've seen. And this is now cannon as far as that's concerned.
Thank you!
Star wars M777 looks badass
This one right here is dope. Great explanation of how she lost the saber. The images of the bombardment where extremely vivid. I would love to see how she got off the planet.
5:26 to 5:34 is the greatest thing ive ever seen
Long live the empire!!! It was great 👑
This is so good! Keep up the good work man 👏
Very nicely done, really enjoyed watching this especially the scenes with the ISDs. About how many hours did this take?
Thanks im very glad you enjoyed it. 😊 This project took me 6 months to finish, i was working on it alone and thats why it took that long to complete.
The night of a thousand tears was the Mandalorian Order 66.
Looks like Clan Mudhorn has gained some additional recruits🤔They also time travelled as Clan Mudhorn was created during the time of the New Republic🤷🏽♂
THIS WAS AWESOME!!! Great Job!
Thank you! Glad you liked it 🙏
This was gorgeous to watch the story was good and it kept me invested. The action was phenomenal and excellent. Great work
Thank you so much!
Very well done, a sad day for Mandalore, I'm glad that there are still so many stories that can be told in the Star Wars Galaxy
This looks really good. Like cut scenes from a video game. Well done!
Finally someone portrays stormtroopers as how they should be. They are well trained and powerful in combat. It’s just the movies make them look ass
This is on par with Rogue One and Andor in terms of realism (grim war, Imperials DO damage, etc.) and a lot better than most Star Wars stuff out there!
Only advice would be to make the voices a bit louder compared to the sfx sounds, other than that it's great!
Thank you! I appreciate the advice
I will include this in my Star Wars head canon
17:53 amazing shot 👌
I really liked this animation not just because of how good it was and the great directing. But how it actually had competent Imperial Stormtroopers that felt like actual soldiers instead of bodies to drop to the main character.
Thank you im glad you liked it 🙏
I got chills watching this, amazingly done 🔥
Thank you! Im glad you liked it 👍
