Oh, it’s on now! Can’t wait to see the reaction to the next episode. Adama just standing up and walking out of the room after finding out about Hera was a great scene. As for the Lee/Kara/Sam madness…yeah, most people kinda get sick of it by now. No spoilers, of course, but it will payoff somewhat in the future. That particular storyline isn’t without purpose. But I definitely agree, it could have been handled better overall.
3:27, if memory serves me right Hollywood legends Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn had a decades long affair while Tracey was still married. He lived with Hepburn and his wife Louise Treadwell lived elsewhere. Tracey basically didn’t divorce his wife or officially separate because he thought divorce was a bigger sin. When he passed away in 1967, he was with Hepburn and not his wife.
One of my favorite episodes in the series!!! Every episode involving the Prophesies, Temples, God, the Gods rock giving that extra bit of spice to the Human/Cylon drama. Chief had me freaking out wandering off into the mountains like that. Then had me crying with laughter talking about dancing in his underwear in house of worship. Hats off for the great redress of a location shot. For sure the Temple of 5 is the same practical location used for Ragnar Station back in the mini-series when Galactica was in need of bullets to get back in the fight. It's always brilliant when the Production Crew saves the day to cover the Writer's and Producer's rear ends. Bringing in a great set on budget. The second half of this is just nail biting fun...
This episode made me wonder about Saul and Ellen: They have zero of the problems as the Lee/Kara relationship circus with like, 100% more sex & trust. What are relationships like in the Colonies? How much of an anomaly are the Tighs? They made no secret of how their relationship worked and no one questioned their loyalty to each other.
Really enjoyed your reaction to this episode. There was a lot of humor in your reaction which I enjoyed because the episode was very tense at times. And I felt just the same about the Apollo Starbuck drama when I first watched this. It just pissed me off so much. BUT! I am starting to feel differently about it. I recently watched Kaos on Netflix and it reminded me how messy Greek mythology is. On the one hand the Gods are engaged in these epic battles and on the other hand they're all having affairs and being very petty. I don't know how much the writers of Battlestar are thinking about that aspect of Greek mythology but the messy love triangle stuff isn't out of place. I don't think it's well done but I do wonder if they were trying to lean into the messy aspect of Greek mythology. The God Apollo having an affair with some lowly humans wife is very Greek myth. So, I'm inclined to be more generous about this particular storyline. It is still oh so toxic and it makes it hard to care about the characters.
"Can we see the faces of the Final Five, please?" No, you cannot. Not yet. Don't worry, It'll be worth the wait. How the Chieff found the Temple? HeadJammer told him. Or something just as weird. Wait and see. The important thing is that you pay attention to the painting. It'll give you guys a big clue, if you recognize it.
The Chief is walking on the planet, in the open ( not inside the temple ) and there's a bit of a town that is in the background. Maybe during his search for the temple. Around 8:27 ( episode time ) on the left side of the screen are vague shapes, maybe buildings.
Anders and Starbuck aren't "together" or on a break. They ae effectively separated and probably would get divorce except that Starbuck feels its a that mortal sin to get a divorce.

Adama's not angry...he's just disappointed 😂
@@RamblersInc well said 😂
There are no coincidences.
That's part of the show's premise.

That is wild.

I like that part of the lore as well. Makes it intriguing.
The Apollo/Starbuck/Dualla/Anders situation gets even messier!
......great 😂
Trust me when I say no matter how annoying some of the side plots are, the writers don't put anything in the story unless it's needed.
Boxey. BOXEY!

How bad is it when we think of Ellen and Saul as a better couple. 🤣
APOLLO AND STARBUCk woes? Welcome to the party guys. Dont worry just plod on though S3 like a centurion.

I never made the comparison with the Greek gods. That's an interesting way to look at it.

😭But we wanna see them
@RamblersInc youngsters these days. Always impatient 🙄🙄
😂
This might be one of the episodes with a visual mistake no one caught, like a small town or car in the background for a Chief scene.
Do you know which bit?
The Chief is walking on the planet, in the open ( not inside the temple ) and there's a bit of a town that is in the background. Maybe during his search for the temple.
Around 8:27 ( episode time ) on the left side of the screen are vague shapes, maybe buildings.
I just saw it 😂 Good catch.
❤❤
Yeah. The whole on again off again thing with Lee annoyed me. She really loves Anders and Lee is some kind of symbol.
She wants it all. Or.....she just doesn't like to be happy.
This has all happened before and it will all happen again
I still don't know what that means 😭😭😭😭
Time's gonna come that you're going to think you know who the 5 are, and you might, but the show will at some point directly tell you for sure, haha.

I feel for Anders there.
I’m with ya I hate the Lee - Starbuck affair storyline
😴😂
This episode and especially the ending is kinda 'stand-off-ish'..
