I'm curious to know how long it takes for a flathead to recover from a lip, mouth, and jaw injury such as that which you have caused and how it affects them until said injury heals. Your thoughts?

Being from down sth it is interesting to learn how you guys fish. As I am moving up to HBay I will certainly use your methods. What depth water are you in on this video. Thanks.

Now I want to learn how to fish much better from somebody far more talented like yourself.
You're a legend mate, I hope I see you at the beach when I'm bin the area next or tackle store or whatever when I'm there next so I can say g'day and thank you for all your help and all the info you've shared in a clear, concise and very well described manner. You let us know what a piece of equipment does, why it does it and the effect it has on certain fish or fishing or whatever the topic.
    You're a Legend Mate!

@@FishingBoatingExploring thanks, means a lot. Would you ever consider teaching a paid one or two day paid lesson/ land fishing tour on proper rigging, knot work, reading the beach and the ocean, how to pick a spot to fish, what to look for at low and high tides, lure, hook, sinker, leader, swivels, clips, depths and speeds and techniques for better fishing.
Obviously it's not possible now but if you would be interested in the future I'd be happy to drive to you and know a decent number of others who would too.

Great videos Luke, love your work mate and thanks for your service. I head out your way a few times a year with the troopy usually for some 4wd camping in my 75 series troopy. Been getting back into fishing and just started with surf beach fishing. I've waded into salt water before but never with much swell, normally I'm crabbing in SA with a rake and a sack. Pin them in place with the rake then put them in the thick cotton or linen back I drags with me, keeps the crabs wet and comfortable even if I'm crabbing for hours.
I used to do a lot of land based fishing but mostly boat fishing off my old boat but I sold it a few years ago. Now that I'm getting back into fishing, the equipment has come so far in the last decade it's crazy but now that I'm getting back into it, I'm not just interested in bream, yellowtail, flathead and whatnot.

Excellent play and catch Luke!! Great to see catch and release of such an elegant fish.
Unfortunately down my way in Sydney, certain fisher people would be grinding it into fish cakes while one end was still in the water.
    Cheers Gaz

Yeah John Bennett pretty much pioneered lure making in Australia, I was fortunate enough to have known him and worked for him in Albury NSW. He was importing the first Ice Jigs (Rauhala) into Australia that were a real hit with the Bass fishermen. Some of the other Rauhala lures had that same slicing action that were used for targeting Pike although they were a lot bigger lures.

Are there places that retail the crossfire? The postage is a killer

DBay Boyds spoke to Crossy mate and as of yet they can only be purchased through his online store which ypu can get to through facebook or his website. I think hisbis planning on finding an outlet or three in the future though mate.
