Amazing that Fab was able to face the public again and sing for himself. I loved Milli Vanilli as a teenager! I am glad this story came full circle..i have the milli vanilli LP. No one should have to feel sad the way Rob did. Fab redeemed them both.

The people at the top of the pyramid, in the music buisness, are in the buisness of using people for the purpose of making money. They took advantage of your youth, your innocence. They were so young, 21 and 24. Signing a contract written a German, thinking naively they would sing on their next record…. And Rob was in need of so much love. Tks Fab to keep Rob in our minds ! Please don’t stop singing ❤
This is so heartbreaking 😢I remember hearing about this scandal when I was a while ago and I didn't know the truth of what actually happened behind the scenes but wow. This is terrible! Truly shows how messed up the music industry was and still is to this very day!
Biggest injustice ever. These two talented young men who barely spoke English were taken advantage off. They were thrown to the wolves. Their producer took advantage of them. The contract was in German. Fab doesn't even speak German also they had no lawyers to help them. I'm glad the truth is finally being told and I am happy to see Fab move on with his life. Rob should be here. I love them both.❤

Rob, i understand you brother. I was bullied almost my entire life, especially in HS, it destroyed me as an adult. I thought about ending my life several times as a teenager because of the bullying, RIP

yes, that's true. They were brought together for a purpose; I think this exposed the music industry for what it really was, and artists became more cautious about the contracts they were signing. Even in the middle of a teaching moment that this was, there will be those who survive and those who perish from the pain. RIP Rob.

@@rnbsteenstar - In the aftermath of this scandal, Fab should hold his head high for surviving it. It would have broken just about anyone...nevermind the fact that they were in their 20s with limited experience and a language barrier.

The real people who sang on all the hits should give themselves a name and go on tour singing those hits. They deserve recognition. The songs were great.
Davis died a few years ago but he became friends with Fab and they actually did a tour together called Face meets voice for 6 years. You can find the lives on UA-cam they both sound amazing. Howell is too old and never was interested in extensive touring.

Rob and Fab, as well as the actual singers, were in a way all victims of an industry that is absolutly ruthless and will ]take advantage of you for its benefit and then throw you to the wolves when you've outlived your usefulness. None of them: Rob, Fab, and the actual singers, deserved to be taken advantage of and exploited the way they were.
The producer hired them to do a job, and they did it.... They are still technically entertainers.... And they entertained us. So job well done
It's really sad that Rob ended his life over this mess.

He was about to go to Sri Lanka in an holistic type of rehab but he died the night before his flight of alcohol and drug overdose although he once had intended to end his life.

Where is Frank Farrian in all this. Leaving Fab and Rob to face everyone. Sad to see what happened to Rob but I have to say that Fab is a legend for carrying on. I love his version of the songs better than the original music that was put out. Fab is a man of strength. He continued on doing what he loved doing .... singing and entertaining people with his beautiful talent. God gave him a gift and he is sharing it still with the world.
He too died a short while ago.
Frank died in January of this year. In 1998, Frank wanted to work with Fab and Rob again but Fab told him Hell No!!!!! Frank also hired female models to lip synched the singers' vocals in concert while he had the real vocalist sing live after the scandal. Years later Fab and the actual vocalist did shows together as Face Meets Voice and they planned on recording an album together but it didn't happen due to the vocalist dying from Covid.

There is a Documentary on Paramount + which tells the story of them, fair and from their point of view. Worth to watch.

Fabrice still sings and performs regularly. I have Videos of some of his performances on my Channel.

People blasted Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan, two professional singers who could dance, for lip-syncing to the first Milli Vanilli album. Yet what is happening now is much worse than anything they did. While Morvan and even Pilatus proved, after that scandal, they were actually elite and talented singers, the singers using autotune and AI never are required to prove such. How is that fair?
In all likelihood the only real reason why Morvan and Pilatus were forced to lip-sync was due to their European accents. However with artists using AI and auto tune, who really knows how talented they really are? With those technologies, even someone like me could record a song.

unacceptable and shameful of everyone involved from the producers to the rob and fab and also the record company. so they never gave a live concert? that wouldn't work today.
Rob and Fab should not have been thrown to the wolves. They allowed themselves to be seduced by the money and fame, but they also were gullible and trusting. They had no legal representation when they signed a contract in a foreign country. Rob was from Germany, but he likely still did not fully read or understand the full extent of the contract, as most young artists are not versed on the "business" side of the music industry.
I was obsessed with those guys, and I still am intrigued and didn’t turn my back on them. I was just a little disappointed and surprised back then when everything came out.

I don't it is fair as the lip syncing can be seen as a form of art where artists utilized imagination beyond any normal human beings. I guess they were far ahead in creativity in music rather than a painter who uses brush, paint and canvas decides to us almost sand, broken bottles pieces to do art. This is a complete robbing of creativity against the pair. I support the two and rest of the team who brought love to the world with their hits songs. I enjoyed their music and loved them. The planet was the playground and two young man were bullied. They should be compensated for robbing away their creativity. Lip syncing is a creative work in music.
