This no longer works as of 2018. Ford has discontinued all previous SYNC versions in favor of the new SYNC 3 system. However you can connect your phone with a patch cord into the aux. input plug near the bottom of the dash. If you have a voice assistant with your phone then you can speak commands to call whom ever from your contacts list. All sound goes thru the speaker system of your radio. You can make hands free phone calls.
2013 F-150 has the phone button but it does nothing. Only options are auto preset and rbds. There is no sync phone option. Is the phone button just there to waste my time or is there a way to make this work?
I have an 09 expedition. Is there a way for my phone to automatically connect when I get back into my car? For example, if I’m listening to Pandora via BT on my phone, I get to my destination, turn the vehicle off. When I get back in my truck, turn it back on, it won’t automatically connect as “where I left off” I have to use the voice command to connect again. Sometimes it says “no BT device is available to connect right now” EVEN THOUGH the BT is turned on on my phone and is in range. My husband has a 2016 Jetta, and as long as BT is turned on on his phone, when he turns his car on, the BT connects automatically and resumes playing music. He doesn’t have to do anything. His does not have voice commands so I’m not sure if maybe that’s why, or the fact that his is a 2016 & mine is a 2009, or maybe because the vehicles are 2 different makes? 🤷🏼♀️
I can’t get the phone part to pop up on the screen. I bought a used under cover police vehicle and I’m wondering if they dc’d it for their communications/radio etc. I’m looking at cig lighter blue tooth’s
So how do I get my texts sound to come over the radio? I don't not have the phn book downloaded should I an it will work? I have tried everything...lol
@@Denilius123 well I ended up buying one of those Bluetooth devices that you plug into the cigarette lighter, I was told by a friend that it could be because the truck didn’t come with sync installed (fords Bluetooth system or so I was told)
I have a 2013 f150 with analog dash. I have a xp3 phone. When I get in my phone will not automatically turn on Blutooth on. I have to shut my phone blutooth off and on to get it to show on the dash.

It doesn't give me that function I clicked menus and all it does is say 2 things it doesn't give me the sync phone at all
