Sarah! I love your book channel because I already knew you from this channel. You have to understand that creating the type of content that y’all make, makes you both super relatable and seem very down to earth to your audience. Instead of having an “influencer” vibe, you’re both more like my internet friends who make blogs that I enjoy :) Your book channel got me back into reading after a close to 10 year hiatus. Your descriptions of the books are perfect without revealing too much. I started the ACOTAR series because of you and have been enjoying every page. I can understand about appreciating nature related things more as we get older. It really does a lot for one’s mental health and well-being and I just feel like our appreciation of a lot of things grows as we get older because our perspective changes and we recognize that there aren’t very many moments in adult life where you can truly just absorb, all of the mental goodness that comes with being in nature. I’m so happy also that your father skews me your grandfather is doing fine and that your parents are doing fine as well in light of the bad weather there at Korea head. And I love how you all have your rituals with your brother Kevin. I think that’s so fantastic. Oh, one last thing, Sarah, your mother is always trying new things that Kyuho brings, and I think that that is wonderful of her. I love how open she is, and your whole family, really, to trying pieces of your husbands culture. Stay safe and be well guys.
Last night in NYC we had a really bad electrical storm. The lighting flashed for over 30 mins continuously. Thank goodness we have blackout curtains. We were so worried about flooding so my husband went outside to check the water in the backyard and here I am yelling at him to comeback in at 2:30 am.🤣. The weather has been weird all over the world, I guess this our new reality.

UK has had a weird summer as well, a lot of Europe having record heat & problems from that while UK had a few days in mid20s but just no consistency at all. One day warm & sunny, the next super cold & wet, then windy, then sunny, then cloudy & chilly, all over the place! A weird year.

Ok…this comment really came at the perfect time, because I’ve been having persistent breakouts for the last two weeks and have been feeling so ‘blah’ with my skin lately 🥺 So thank you so much for the confidence boost ❤️ I pretty much just stick to my Korean skincare repairing (I love Klairs and Medicube’s products in particular), and always double cleanse with a cleansing balm, then foam cleanser. I wear 50SPF every single day, no matter what the weather is like ☔️I haven’t gotten any skin treatments in Korea for ages, but I plan on getting an aqua peel facial when I get back ✨
Comparison is the thief of joy and all--fwiw, I've loved all your book videos because they're authentically you! I picked up 'Flowers of Fire' thanks to you and I'm starting it this week. Loved the Pipi sighting, she's so precious! Summer was shitty here in Sweden too--I felt like I got robbed of my idyllic summer. I always look forward to iced coffee weather and we only had a handful of nice days in-between all the torrential rain.
I have only been to Halifax, so it was nice to see Dartmouth and its pretty waterfront.
We’ve had more thunderstorms in Halifax this summer than I remember having… ever?! I really worry about these floods and fires happening more often :(

I'm living in Dartmouth but didn't think about visit some of new cafes in the downtown lol. But it looks beautiful in your video! Should check out someday :) I feel bit different this summer as well, recent few years I feel different about summer of Halifax. My local friend said this is normal but in my first memory of summer here was bit chilly enough to wear long sleeves. This year I wore all the light summer clothes for a while. (Still was not that crazy hot like Seoul tho I appreciate that. Now I started to carry long sleeves again) Thank you for the beautiful video as always! Man I'm sorry you guys got smacked by a bad storm too - I wonder if it was the same system that hit us Monday night? We had 75-80 mph sustained winds and one confirmed tornado not too far from me. I was so scared, and I normally like summer storms! We were without power and internet for 2 days, there's downed trees everywhere, and crews are still out trying to fix stuff.
For your book channel - there is no such thing as perfection. :) it's an illusion. As long as you do your best, that's enough! We're not there for perfection anyway, we're there to hear about books and interact with you & other readers :) I actually spent the 2 days without power reading, haha! But reading faerie folklore books bc I'm a giant nerd.

@@2hearts1seoul Tornadoes are scary. We usually have warnings any time there is a thunderstorm anymore, but I actually thought I heard it. I stared out my window for a looooooong time and didn't see anything so I wrote it off as the actual train (we're not too far from the tracks, maybe a mile). Then the next day the in the news, other people were talking about the same sound I heard and I was like 😱😱😱😱!
We're safe and sound thankfully, and I've never been so grateful to have solar panels, lol. We still had to conserve energy bc we weren't sure how long it would take for everything to be fixed, but we are very lucky to have not lost our food.

We've had 53 days straight of 100+ (38C) degree temps in Texas, and over 30 of those are 105+ (40C). And I think no rain for that period as well. Another day, another wildfire.🥴Everyone with too much rain this summer, feel free to send it my way. My poor Swedish husband can't cope and might evaporate any day now.

Dartmouth is a lovely city, and I am thinking that if my wife and I ever go to North America, we'll definitely have to see eastern Canada and Nova Scotia in particular. We live in Scotland and everything just looks somewhat familiar in NS (but better).

We tried clipping them on, but we prefer just holding them in our hands 😂 The sound quality is crisper, and there’s not rustling sound against the shirt fabric.
