My dearest Sarah and Kyuho, I hope you are starting to recover from all the drama. I am still so shocked that you were used and abused in such a way. It took me a few weeks to collect my thoughts and write this message. I am so glad that this community rallied around you.
Due to illness I have not been able to work since 2020 and UA-cam became a salvation. I found your channel in 2021 and binge watched all previous videos in chronological order, and I have never missed a video since. I love everything about your channel; Sarah’s amazing editing and narrations skills, Kyuho’s top notch music choices, the way you portrait Korea and Canada, your mini documentaries, Kyuho’s (ugly) kitchen endeavors, Beemo’s cuteness (so glad he is doing better), your relationship and your AUTHENTICITY.
I am a highly sensitive person and have a lot of childhood trauma (working on that now), and I have the capacity to quickly ‘read the room’ and see if someone is sincere or not, or sense someone's mood. I had for example noticed that Kyuho has been a bit subdued these last couple of months. Unfortunately there are a bunch of people on this platform that bumps my radar. I just stay away from them, but they have sadly tainted a lot of people's perception of content creators.
I have been a regular user of UA-cam since 2017 so I understand sponsorships, affiliate links, and how much work is actually required to run a channel. I see a lot of UA-camrs channels do different (and sometimes conflicting) sponsorships in every video. I don’t mind as long as I feel that the person is authentic in the rest of the video. My point is that it is very OBVIOUS for your regular viewers that you only promote what you really love. I can clearly see that you are leaving a lot of money on the table because your INTEGRITY is more important to you than money. And judging from the comments, a lot of my fellow viewers have noticed it too. 👍
So please don’t pay any attention to the internet trolls, they will quickly move on. Remember that your regular viewers and supporters know and value your true character. You handled this whole mess in such a professional and classy manner. 👏
As soon as I have recovered and can work again I will join both your Patreon and UA-cam community. In the meantime I am sending a super chat. Please take the money and treat yourself to lunch or dinner.
I hope you will have a lovely Christmas!
Sending lots of love and light from Sweden.
    🎁🧡🎄

Hey Guys! I literally just bought from Trader Joe’s (American grocery chain) frozen Scallion Onion Pancake & Tteok bok ki. I love the pancakes. Haven’t tried the Tteok bok ki. Been trying to get my hands on their frozen kimbap. It keeps selling out! It’s such a popular item that H-Mart has been trying to grab TJ customers attention regarding their frozen kimbap.
Have you tried frozen kimbap? Is it just as good?
    Have a great week.
Now if only Tim Horton’s would come to NoCal.

These street foods I had when I went to Korea in 2017. I found them in a Asian market in Starkville, MS (College town). So, I couldn't believe it! Especially since MS is a rural state. Hoteok really is my favorite. Brings back memories 😊

Hi Sarah! Hi Kyuho! Oh my gosh! Loved this so much! Hotteok is one of my favorites to get at KBBQ, and I was super excited to find them at frozen at H-Mart. Trader Joe’s has started to carry frozen Korean items, although, I’ve seen mixed reviews about the tteokbokki. Kyuho’s dish looked so yummy!
Buena Park, CA., has a place called ‘The Source,’ that we like to go to. It’s a 3 story Korean shopping mall, filled with shops, restaurants, and street foods. Outside of K-Town in Downtown LA., Buena Park, to me, has some great places, AND you don’t have to fight the LA traffic.
Our Costco carries the frozen Bungeo-ppang (sp?), called Taiyaki. They’re the same size as yours and toasted in the air fryer…..OMG, yes! Delicious!

Hi, can you do a video on appliances in Korea versus US. I am also curious how kitchen tools vary from American such as blenders, panini makers, rice cookers, ovens etc. I heard that Korean living spaces don't generally have ovens, so what do you use? I am considering applying for work in Korea and am currently in Colorado, USA. Not sure how I should prepare for the move especially because I have a ton of kitchen appliances and tools I'm not sure Korea would have available there. If this is content you would be interested in making that would be great! I guess I'm wondering what Korea doesn't have that America does lol thanks amd LOVE your channel 🥰

Sparse Tim Horton's menu is good. :) My eyes are weak and it is a major pain reading their full menu boards these days, especially at the malls' Timmies (need a bloody telescope for the Halifax Shopping Centre food court location). :P
edit: And double the price? So, Iced Capps for ₩6300 ($6.50 CA) and donuts for ₩2900 ($3 CA)?
edit 2: And feel ya on the rain. Supposed get 50mm+ over the next two days here. :/ Chance of flurries, though, on the weekend, so fingers are crossed for Christmas. :)

I live in Massachusetts, USA and I really love this channel, I grew up never really seeing healthy homesteads or relationships, and in a weird way, this is kind of therapeutic and educational for me as a 24 year old male. I feel like I’ve learned from watching you guys, and seeing your lifestyle versus that of probably the most fast-paced and stressed out state in America is refreshing. I really hope this channel blows up, the content has gotten better and better ❤️ god bless you guys. To add additional context, I’m African American and feel like I might be your most obscure demographic of viewer 🤣 lastly, the food you guys eat! Don’t get me started it looks 🔥🔥

I saw another comment which I think speaks to the video where you guys were “ousted” for trying to review a product, grow your channel and support a cool/interesting company without promising the product would give your viewers eternal life and X-ray vision - to add to that other comment showing support, I am HERE because of that video, and it is clear that you guys meant no harm, are genuine and happened to get picked on by a channel that is probably ran by someone jealous of your kind vibes and authenticity. I would try to polarize that situation, and understand that although there was destructive intent, it has brought you loyal viewers ❤

Never been a coffee guy, but those Timmy's donuts are yum! I'm actually not surprised at the prices only because it's in Gangnam, super expensive lease I'm sure. And as you guys mentioned, I think they are trying to project more of a trendy/fancy brand coffee shop rather than how they are known in Canada as sorta the next door neighbor coffee shop. Gotta recoup that money somehow lol.
Dude! We have some hotteok in the freezer from the local asian store we still need to eat. We haven't tried whatever brand it is, but hopefully it's as good as yours!

In NYC these items can be found readily in our local Hmart. Trader Joe carries a lot of frozen Korean street food but they’re always out of stock!! I hear Costco has become big Korean food purveyor recently. But these days Korean packaged ramyun brands-buldak, shin, Jin etc are found regular supermarket/grocery aisles. Korean food/brands and Korean eateries been one of the biggest unintended beneficiaries of popularity of K-media around the world.

Watched this while eating kimchi ramen... and... I'm sooooo jealous! We have an Asian grocery near us that is pretty extensive. I've bought the prepackaged tteokbokki, and it IS spicy. I added a little brown sugar and that calmed it down a little bit.

I was just thinking the other day, that we haven't had a closer cooking follow along lately and here we are with Kyuho cooking up all that streetfood.
(To be fair though, I watch a lot of cooking content on a regular basis and I always just enjoy your chill vlogs no matter what, but I've also just been down a rice cooker rabbit hole around Black Friday, so now everytime you film the kitchen I notice your rice cooker, so I end up thinking about all the stuff you could cook in that).

My boyfriend and I get stuffed Korean pancakes (brand is Daifuku) that are similar to hotteok at H-Mart, they're a little bigger and they come in a bunch of different flavors. They have sweet options like taro, brown sugar, cinnamon, and also savory options like japchae and green onion. Love them! And I agree with you about tteokbokki, a lot of the pre-made ones I've tried have either been too spicy or I wasn't as big of a fan. I like making the sauce at home myself 😋 We live in an area that has a lot of Korean restaurants and markets, but we're hoping to actually visit Korea next year!

Street food is cool because one gets the added fun of eating this food outdoors in the street and feeling like one is in a happening place. The best street food I ever enjoyed was toasted corn on the cob with a sprinkle of salt and squeeze of lime juice in a night market in a majority Indigenous Guatemalan town North of Guatemala City. And cucumber sliced lengthways sprinkled with a mixture of ground pumpkin seeds, chili, salt, and lime juice... also nice. So glad your Beemo is doing well! Hope S. I'm very lucky to live in Los Angeles where we can get almost any Korean street food you can think of in a frozen or pre-made version at our local H-Marts. They're surprisingly good! Like you guys said, sometimes even better then getting them from outside. My favorite is always 김말이 though.

Hi, Sarah and Kyuho! Loved your video! We love being able to buy hotteok from our local HMart or Galleria in Toronto. Sooo good! Also, have you every tried adding a bit of curry powder to your dukboki sauce? It tastes delicious! Our HMart also has the fish with custard or red bean. In the past I didn't care for anything red bean related, as I grew up in Canada like you. However, after being married for many years to my Korean husband, I enjoy red bean buns and danpatjuk (sweet red bean porridge).

Thank you! Woah, sounds like you have quite the variety over there! I loved sweet red bean the first time I tried it, but I realized I was the minority in the group of my foreigner friends who mostly really disliked it 😅 It’s definitely a very different type of dessert if you haven’t grown up with it!

Vancouver BC being a diverse multi-cultural city, we have a big Korean community here in Van. Instant Korean foods are widely available. Aside from the small Mom and Pop Korean convenient stores around the city, we can get these in big Korean supermarkets like H-Mart, Hannam Supermarket and Assi Supermarket and also from Asian Suoermarkets like T&T Supermarkets. You can say we are lucky here in Van that way because we love Korean f0od. LOL

I love Korean street food. I was so lucky when I stayed in Myeong Dong in June this year that every evening a night market set up out the front of the hotel I stayed at. It was so fun. I ate lots of different things, but my favorite was the fish on sticks with hot cup of soup and egg bread. I ate lots of the Bungeo-bbang cakes from a street vendor near Lotte, he had about 5 or 6 different types. I love the red bean one but I also tried apple which was good too. They are getting a lot more Asian marts opening here in Halifax, there is two, one just newly opened in same area called Bayers Lake down from an existing one. There is also a Korean restaurant just down the road from me called Arirang that we order from all the time. In the Clayton Park area where I live there are all kinds of good Asian restaurants which we're very happy about because we eat Asian food all the time and want authentic food.
