I am glad that Toby has decided to release Chapter’s 3 and 4 together while releasing Chapter 5 on its own I think that definitely helps the patients for the fans feel much more promising while we wait for more in the silly white dog game. Still though I am glad that Toby and the team have been making very great progress on Deltarune and I hope he and everyone else are having a fantastic Halloween.

I remember when chapter 2 first released everyone was going nuts over it that it was almost impossible to avoid stuff about it I love how anytime toby releases something everyone goes bonkers it really shows how loved his works are
I'm very confident about Late 2024. Toby is much more confident about progress with Chapter 4 than with Chapter 3, which seemed to have a lot more gimmicks and had multiple prototype areas get discarded; the team is also more experienced, already has a good head start, and there's also the new Producer to help manage the devs.
I don't think chapters 3 and 4 will be released in 2025, that's too much time to finish 1 chapter, I think it's going to release in the second half of 2024
i have like 110$ saved on steam at the moment (pretty much all from selling my csgo items because I don't care about them) and I'd drop all of the money on that, I guess I'm down bad

I agree it's way better spaced out, but this is still an improvement atleast... Two chapters are much more manageable. Chapter 3 seems to be quite an out-there chapter so Toby might feel more comfortable releasing a more normal chapter along with it.
I think mid 2024 would be the best guess, since chapter 3 should most definitely be finished by the end of the year, with things speeding up and the primary focus of development being chapter 4 after which we should see their release coming (with the releasing it portion added after that) things should be smooth sailing from here onwards, besides during the time of waiting for chapter 3 to finish a lot of work on chapter 4 has already been done, so ultimately it should take just over half a hear for chapters 3 and 4 to be playable, leaving us to see it around mid 2024
Probably 3-4 together, then 5-6, then finally 7 standalone. Makes the most sense to me. I still really wish hed just release each chapter as they were done though, 75% of the fun of being in the fandom is theorizing, discussing, drawing fan art, etc in between the gap of each chapter. Plus it gives us time to really appreciate each chapter and the characters within. For example, i doubt Spamton would have been anywhere near as loved if he was released alongside 5 other scrimblos and Jevil all at once.

I miss DELTARUNE chapter 2 hype, and at the time of the hype I didn't even play DELTARUNE yet, I skipped through a bit of chapter 1 when it came out, but I never really played it until very early 2023, but the hype of chapter 2 was so charming to see, so now that I'm actually a true fan of the game (it's my favorite game) I can't wait to be a part of the hype of a new chapter

part of me hopes 6 isn’t in a bundle, it just feels way cooler for 3&4 to be together, while 5 and 6 are released separately, slowly building up to the grand finale of 7

I have a theory. Undertale, 2015 Deltarune 1, 2018 Deltarune 2, 2021 Deltarune 3&4, 2024. See a pattern? 3 year gaps between the games. Difference between Undertale and chapter 2? 6 years. What number is Gaster related to? 6. Something is missing in Deltarune 2 that should be explained relating to Gaster that was overlooked.
Toby did mention in the news letter that he had just hired someone to speed up the process of creating the game and releasing it because it usually takes forever for him to release chapters. So maybe it will release faster than 2025, I suspect just like the other chapters it’ll release on the anniversary in 2024

Everyone has to note that by releasing chapter 3 and 4 together instead of along with chapter 5 is because it will make it better at finishing the rest. But will there be chapter 6 and 7? I believe chapter 5 should be released with chapter 6. So that chapter 7 becomes the main focus when everything is released. Even then it'll take years for toby to do these things. Still glad he decided to release stuff he's mostly finished, makes it so he can release it faster and polish it better with less to focus on.

2 chapters !?!?
I'm debating whether I should buy these when they are released or wait for a full game to be available ( having a digital version for console would be dope )
On one hand I have been enjoying chapter 1 and 2 a lot but I'm not sure if I should pay for something that will be included with the full release

@@sergejkonstantinovic4866 I know getting spoiled in that time is unavoidable but I'm wondering if watching a playthrough is going to satisfy me enough. I mean, I did the same with the first 2 before playing so maybe it's a better idea to save up for the full thing
@@kovexplay damn idk. Being able to do everything yourself and find out things on your own is still a wayyy better feeling tbh. I dont know.

I believe chapter 5 should be released with chapter 6. So that chapter 7 becomes the main focus when everything is released. Even then it'll take years for toby to do these things. Still glad he decided to release stuff he's mostly finished, makes it so he can release it faster and polish it better with less to focus on.
