Agreed! I hate to say it but some of these angers get stuck to their livescope and can't remember how to bring in 20+ fish without it lol not saying Ken is that guy buuuuuuuut I think it's good to show everyone how to do it without any gadgets, show you how find them just by structures in water and working the water from banks. It's possible I do it all winter/spring just working bridges, trees, docks, and banks bringing home 30 fish
Now that's the fishing i like no gadgets. Just plain fishing. Me and my wife went this morning and caught 8 big catfish. We love using just pole and bait.
Hey man!! Just really wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time out to wish me a happy birthday!! I was sick with the virus but on the mend now... and to know you were out of town when you did it makes it that much more amazing! I really appreciate you man, and will do everything I can to promote your channel, buy merch, and hopefully we can link up one day and get up on some donkeys! GOD BLESS! Thanks again to you and to management!! Lol!
Bro! Didnt know you were sick man. Glad youre feeling better. That aint the best way to celebrate a birthday but man you were blessed to see another one. We appreciate the support brother. God bless you and yours man!
@@HookCityTV right on bro i understand that man. My dads days are running short on me with his health declining so keep in kicking it with you pops long as you can bro. Tight lines and Blessings to you and yours
Great tutorial, you touched base on some valuable details, limbs touching the water, in and out of pockets in the cattails, but most of all slow and methodical. I've waded in flooded timber, can be very productive. Would like to see more. Tell your buddy 3 or 4 zip ties on the bottom of the basket will eliminate the loss of fish. Keep the film rolling!!!
Most fisherman can't get enough of a visual topwater bite. While I like any bite I can get, I've always craved that bump & nudge of slow finesse fishing
Come to Louisiana caddo lake cross lake black bayou reservoir and more. I've caught multiple 2+ loaded with eggs. I caught 4 nice females under 1 of my shallow pocket docks about 2-3 foot deep small males pecking around cypress trees 4-6 feet this afternoon. Wind was about 15 off main lake tho. Tough fishing very slow purple pink jig black beetle spin head 1/8.
Hey Ken, meet you the other night on Chris’s channel. I can honestly say I have never seen anyone catch crappie like that. Enjoyed the video and look forward to seeing more. 👍🏼 I might actually start crappie fishing a little more. Lol
Good to meet you man! Wading is an experience if nothing else. lol. Get on those crappie, but be warned you'll find yourself buying more crappie rods and jigs. Ive seen it happen too many times. lol. Ill check out your channel also!
You guys ought to try a fly rod with a rubber legged Corky popper. It's lots of fun! My dad showed me a trick. When you catch your first crappie then the other people fishing with you rub their lures on that fish. Get lots of fish slime on them.... Watch What Happens!
Definitely a great time just wish the catching was better. It is alot better now. They come to the same areas every year. Time on the water is King in the spring. I've scouted other areas and have done very well. If I didn't I would have thought the spawn was done. Thanks to Chris and Ken for making the drive out and hope to do it again.
Look like Mark need another basket....LOL I was telling Chris y'all mighty found some just behind y'all.... those fish will back out.... I'll leave that wading to y'all..... To many gators down here.....Stay At'um....
HAHAHA I was too far to hear what happened, but seeing the fish actually falling out of the basket was hilarious. I thought they fell out while the basket was in the water. If nothing else really enjoyed the fellowship my friend! Good show bud, good show.
I subscribed but gotta say 3:30 seconds before you wet the hook is a bit long for an intro. If you kept the intro under 1 minute before you wet the hook it would have been easier to watch. If you want to work in the gear details merge it in the middle of the video somewhere after you catch a few to break up the monotony of just talking for 3 minutes in the intro. Overall I like the content, but that would help a bit more in making it easier to watch without having to skip around.
Real! If I can't drive up to the bank and sit on my car hood or there's no pier- count me out too. Two too many experiences, I know somebody's going to say, "punk", but I'll be a LIVE, UNINJURED punk lol. Had to add on, unidenitifiable snakes are an issue for me too.
Wading and bank videos are my favorite. Gotta love the basics
I would like to see you do more bank/shore fishing the thick stuff 👍🏼
Its hard to get out the boat but ill try

Nice video!! Not too much footage about wading for spawning crappie! 👍👍
You're in my spot! I been fishing that spot for years. Started out tube fishing that area then started wading it.
Pro tip: carry them rods facing backwards so you don't break the tips off when you trip!
Another fiya video!!!!! You should do a heehaw special series with nuthn but your best heehawsss!!!
I usually create those at the end of the year. Be on the lookout!
Hook City TV yes sirrr
Cool!!!!! I’ve been having waders sitting in my Amazon cart for weeks and wondering if I’d ever actually do it!
Safety first. Be careful of holes, soft mud, and underwater obstructions

Enjoyed it Ken! That’s a fun way to catch them. Haven’t done it in a while. I’m about to leave the striped fish alone and get back to crappie.
come on back! and dust the boat off
I hollered when those fish went thru the basket! He didn't even realize it!!

Putting that slumber svent on your bait after the first fish is a old one. My uncles still do that to this day. Lol

Hey sir with the live scope from farming if your in 6 to 12 foot of water how far could you see in front of you
easily 50 ft. But it gets pixellated, as long as you know what youre looking for 60ft isnt bad just distorted
