Race Cancelled! Who pays what? A cycling VLOG

- A race promotor had to do the unthinkable and cancel a local race. We're super bummed, but we got over it by riding our bikes anyway. Who gets stuck with the tab though when a race gets called and how can we keep this sustainable? For the record - we think it was the right call and fully support the race organizers in whatever they have to do.

As a local from WA who’s just gotten into cycling this year, some travel vlogs showing some neat routes may be fun to see. Your reviews got me here, but the vlog type stuff is why I subscribed.
Reviews are good, training advice and position etc, race anylisys is irrelevant after the event , generally good content , like the channel
I like any video about gear ratio type stuff... kind of vague but there are plenty of hills and rollers in your area so i'm sure you have something interesting to say on the subject.
Ooo!!! I can do that. I just got a new groupset with completely new gear ratios that are fascinating to me. I'll do an update and give you a shoutout!
A tough call on the race organisation. I’ve had to cancel a cyclo-cross race as an organiser before now, luckily I was able to give people a few days notice (high winds had blown down trees blocking a part of the course and were unable to be cleared by race day). Luckily, I had not incurred much expense so didn’t suffer any loss. Race entries were on the day, so no loss to the riders either.
Training methods, nutrition, reviews, etc.
I’d like to see some podiums! I’ll subscribe for that kind of content.
There have been a few. But I'm usually too busy to record... The Boogeyman has gotten several this season, some in some very high profile races.
Local races!
I like the in-race footage. In the UK, cameras on bikes in races are not allowed, so we don’t get any race footage. Also, I like your reviews but appreciate that you are mostly reviewing stuff you’ve bought yourselves, so they are going to be quite limited. Perhaps a bit more on what training you do, and a bit more comment from The Boogeyman.
This was supposed to be my first omnium ever! Looks like the race organizers just e-mailed us and said we're going to get 100% refund which is super awesome. I can't be too mad as I agree that the race organizers did the right thing to cancel. Tour De Bloom - that will be my first omnium except TT is Eddy Merckx style I believe.
Just got that email too. It says they'll refund us "if {we} want." I think I'll opt to get my refund but let them keep the boogeyman's. I'll feel good about doing that and helping a little.
Bloom is a good race, but definitely different. And for what it's worth, I was DEFINITELY going to do that TT this weekend on my road bike thanks to that hill and the overall amount of climbing.

I have both helmets, black is my go to. Black like Darth Vader 😆😆😆
Videos on maintaining rider and vehicular safety on terrible residential roads while recording videos; seems impossible to be as attentive.
