UNBROKEN Ukrainians: Family survived Russian attack on Kramatorsk undergoes rehabilitation in Lviv

- One of the largest ‘Unbroken’ rehabilitation centers in Europe will be built in Lviv. The National Center for Psychological and Physical Rehabilitation and Prosthetics will provide assistance to Ukrainians who have suffered from hostilities. Victims of the Russian war against Ukraine often need complex surgeries and long-term rehabilitation. The production of prostheses and 3D-printing of bone implants will be established there.

What hits home most is seeing the faces of children who have so recently lost their innocence - sometimes along with their loved ones, home, limbs or life.
It is truly heartbreaking. These children have had what should be a carefree childhood brutally ripped away from them. I am a parent, but you don't need to be a parent to see how tragic this is. This family's lives have changed forever. I hope they can get all the help they need to try to re-build their lives.

These lives forever affected by Russia's senseless war. As the child of a youngish amputee from the second world war, I can only pray they are as unbreakable as my Ukrainian dad was, and their enemy doesn't succeed in stopping them live out their lives to the fullest too.
Dad lived until 80-year-old and cycled until age 73, with one cumbersome metal leg.
Thankful now for the small mercies that prosthetics are lightweight and modern, yet my heart goes out to this family and other families who have lost limbs in this war. I pray they'll also have the best mental health care 🙏
Russians should see what suffering they leave in their wake, and all because they didn't refuse to invade a country that never had any intention of invading Russia.
