    G'day Andrew. Just found your channel and its great mate. I have a premium table ordered and should be getting built soon. Thanks so much for this video and I'll head back and watch your others. Extreme Gaming Cabinets do a great job of sharing videos, they are so transparent with their products, but it's still good to see and hear reviews for customers.
    Again, Thanks Andrew for the time you have put in here for all us Pinball and gaming nuts. Cheers. Gaz.

    Just watched your uncrating of this beast - very cool stuff and amazing it arrived in perfect condition from so far away. While I'm having a blast modding my AtGames Pinball (and having so much fun with VPX), I'm looking forward to making a VPin build from scratch at fullscale size. Subbing and looking forward to more stuff 👍

Or can you possibly make one for is newbies, so we can support the table creators? I want to get Big Trouble in little China on the table pack, but have no clue on how to download a pack on this Cabnit once i get it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and sure do like videos on this Vpin.! Cheers.

  • @GamesAndMoreGamesAndMoreGames

    Congrats! I cant wait to order mine. XGC completely blows Recroomworld VP cabinets out of the water. Rec Room is charging $9000+ for a cabinet with less quality, features, less solenoids, bland artwork, and subpar screens (screen terrible when compared with XG438Q). My quote from XGC for a Premium cab with all the upgrades (Except titan and plywood) was $7800 shipped to the US. Once you see them in person its shocking how much of a difference there is between them. If you are willing to wait a few months, XGC's cabinets are a no brainer! Just look at the design and craftsmanship alone.

    • @PowerNGlory
      @PowerNGlory Рік тому

      Recroomworld thinks because they have a 49 inch screen that theirs is better. It's not. The owner also talks about how their pins are angled downward like a real pin compared to XGC. As you can see XGC is clearly having no issue with that. Recroomworld also thinks 144hz is pointless so that's why that don't offer it. Clearly it is beneficial. They also boast about their quick turnaround time when ordering. Easy to say because none of their stuff is built in house. They are all mass produced in China. Obviously people are not that concerned waiting the 12 or so months for an XGC pin as business is booming.

      @@Busa-power I know they are heads down trying to put the final polish on 3 different systems, the light gun drive, the 32tb beast arcade drives, and the newest VPin release. After the issues with Integrum Retro not following through on updating the drives and providing support XGC decided to pull all that back in-house and do it themselves. Since they are a relatively small mostly family run business it’s easy to get heads down and focused on something. Since you’ve gotten your final invoice that means they’ve started production on your machines. It can still take a couple months once production starts depending on what you have chosen for your builds. Also, I’m sure since the updated vpin drive is so close they are holding releases until that’s complete. My suggestion would be to call Donna in the morning. Seems like 10am Queensland time is a pretty good time to reach her. I don’t leave voicemails when I call because I know how busy they are, I just keep trying until I reach her, but she will answer if she’s not on another call, I’ve never had an issue of not being able to get her on the phone. AND… most importantly, I’m not aware of a single person saying XGC took their money and didn’t deliver, that’s not who they are. They build the best stuff out there and because of that they are very very popular. It’s difficult for a small business to ramp up production and still maintain the quality they are known for, but they are actually doing a good job with that. So… don’t worry, your machines will get built and delivered.

    Hi Andrew, love your vPin from XGC. A question for you, in your video you described providing feedback to the game creators are you able to download new pinball games into the XGC VP cabinet?

    • @andrew21742
      @andrew21742  5 місяців тому

      So, the simple answer is yes. XGC provides you a drive that is unlocked so that you can download and add new tables without messing up your machine. However, what I’m referring to in the video is a little different. When ever I play a table on the Cab that I haven’t played yet, I go out on my pc and download the table and leave a comment for the table creator so they get the feed back for the download. I’m not sure I’m still making sense… lol. So let me give you an example. Let’s say I just got my machine brand new from XGC, and the first table I play is Monster Bash. I can see when the table boots which version it is so I write that down in my notebook, then once I’m done playing I go to my PC, not the vpin, and download that table and leave a comment. So the creator gets the feedback. I didn’t install anything new to the XGC machine yet, but the creator still gets the download and the feed back. Clear as mud? LoL

      Still love as much as the day I got it. The only issue I’ve had with it was a solenoid crapping out, which happens and was only a $10 fix. I could have called XGC and they would have warranted it, but it was just way faster to go to my local NAPA and grains for $8 and replace it. The only thing I don’t like about my VPIN is that it’s not the new version 2.0 cab. The newest version is so nice as far as the screen tilt and how everything is now labeled internally. I’m close to ordering another and giving my existing one to a friend.

    I think Xtreme gaming do sell hard drives with pinball games on it

    • @andrew21742
      @andrew21742  Рік тому

      I need to be very careful with this response. So, they DO offer updated drives for sale to customers of XGC Vpin's only. They do not sell drives to the public, because frankly that would be pointless as they wouldn't work. The drives are locked down and configured specifically for the hardware XGC uses to build their machines. The updated drives still require XGC to dial in to each cabinet to do the final configuration before it will work. The drive is frozen/locked down in such a way that it's useless to anyone unless configured by XGC for a machine they've built. And still, the updated drives are simply done to bring the software such as VPX, DOF and BAM up to the latest version. Anyone with an XGC vpin can go grab the tables from any of the sites that offer them, they don't need to buy an updated drive. And you are 100% correct when you say XGC wouldn't sell as many pinball machines with out properly configured software on them... It's the rock solid configuration of a XGC vPin that people who just want to play pinball and not learn to install software love...

      @@andrew21742 The tilt doesn’t seem to ever activate. We noticed there is some electrical tape on parts of the gold ring that the tilt bob hangs in. Should that tape be removed?
      I’m unable to locate the inline switch for toggle between digital and mechanical tilt.
      Sometimes after playing a few different tables, the background music on Pinup Popper goes quiet and previews of the tables no longer appear. When you then select a table, the screen goes to the desktop briefly but then the table loads. Is this normal?
      Pinball FX tables will not load and play. Message on the DMD says “view locked”.

    • @andrew21742
      @andrew21742  Рік тому

      @@jenniferad3039 wow, ok… so the tilt can typically be very touchy and overly sensitive. The tape is on there to help with that. You could open the door during a game and physically move the Bob over to touch the ring and see if it tilts. If it’s not working you’ll want to contact XGC before you do anything else with that. There could be a wire off or something else that’s a simple solution.
      As for the video stuff with popper, I usually only see that when you start a new table before the system has reset after exiting a previous table. This is a popper thing and not anything particular to XGC’s build. You want to make sure after you exit a table you do not launch a different table until DOF resets. You’ll be able to tell when this is because the LEDs will start going again. Then you can launch a new table. Depending on the table you were exiting this time can vary.
      As for FX, do you mean FX2/FX3? I don’t have the new Pinball FX on my 1.7 drive,
      As for the add on control panel you need to plug it in to the USB ports before you boot to the Hyperspin drive.

Mine doesn’t work on the vertical games, just the horizontal on the back glass through Hyperspin. Did you conclude that the joysticks on the arcade panel cannot be changed to 4 way? The 8 way makes all the PacMan games difficult to play for sure. I really do like the system, just trying to learn the ins and outs, since I have no expertise in the world of vpins.

      wow this could take a while to list. I went and played one of his Kraken machines in Northern Virginia and talked to the guy who bought it, and it just wasn't even close to an XGC machine. It's not that it's horrible, I'd say it's a Honda Civic compared to a Ferrari. It only has 6 solenoids, this one had really crappy side rails and lockdown rails that basically just looked like Aluminum angle with plastic corners. The shaker motor was garbage and under powered... but the kicker was the software and lack of programming. I was very underwhelmed. Closest thing to an XGC machine in the US is LAB Arcades, but even then you don't get the programming which was a critical thing for me, and then there's things like the newer Future Pinball stuff and Pup Packs, I believe XGC is the only builder who has that stuff standard in all their models.

What he charges for and protects is his time spent setting up the configuration of that software to work with the specific hardware of the machines he builds. There are builders in the US who sell Vpins for 10,000 that don’t include software, they include information on where to get a hard drive from overseas to run in the vPins they sell, and those hard drives don’t include things like DOF, or Pup Packs. XGC machines are the best production manufactured Vpins in the world, and like all things, you get what you pay for.
