One of their very best songs, it is the climax of the legendary, double concept album, Quadrophenia. That album is worth a listen sometime, Pete Townsend is a musical genius and the whole band is in peak form. Thanks for doing this great song, another of theirs to try is Behind Blue Eyes, you would love it! Enjoy & Happy Weekend. :-) 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
You can't play enough of The Who. I subscribed to you the 1st time you played The Who and reacted to it. Greatest hard rock band ever and you'll find that every single song is as good as the next. They have no bad songs
Quadrophenia is a rock opera by The Who. What you really need to know is on the 3 songs on the album prior to Love Reign O'er Me, the main character - Jimmy - was contemplating suicide. He nearly succeeded. He was sitting on a rock a few hundred feet off the shore of a beach, guzzling gin as he waited for the tide to rise and carry him out to sea. Then he had an epiphany. When he realized the only thing that matters in life is love. And he wanted love to reign over him. Roger Daltrey sang an epic masterpiece for the ages on this one.
A woman asked me once, "Who are some of your favorite musical groups?" I answered "I love The Who." She sort hesitated and then asked, "Do you like any other bands?" And I responded '"There are other bands??"
As others have mentioned, this is the final song on the rock opera "Quadrophenia". It features one of the great vocal performances in rock history. The song that opens "Quadrophenia" is called "The Real Me", and features one of the great bass performances in rock history. Other great songs by the The Who include "Won't Get Fooled Again" (probably their best known song) and "Baba O'Reilly", among MANY others.
I think this is my favourite song by The Who. I have been listening to The Who since I was 12! Seeing your reactions to the emotion in the singing and guitar told me you really like this song. Please do more reactions to The Who :)
I'm glad you enjoyed this song! It's awesome. To really appreciate the character, Jimmy who is the person this whole album woven around. You have to give Quadrophenia a go! This song is the climax to the album. And quite possibly will bring a tear to your eye.
Great reaction! The Who is one of the top bands around. This song really projects their essence as a force of nature. The album I like the most is 'Tommy', the rock opera. It will take you on an amazing journey, and my life was a reflection of Tommy's not long after the album and movie came out. Long story. That album elevated them from the earthly plane to the ethereal. It is one of those albums that should be listened to all the way through, but 'Amazing Journey' is a good example of the flow, for a single cut.
Great reaction, Dani! ♥️ This was the concluding track on The Who's 1972 double album "Quadrophonia." I would suggest you react to the opening track, "The Real Me."
Might as well hear the beginning after hearing the end 🙂. The album begins with an atmospheric piece called "I Am The Sea" which flows into "The Real Me." What a fantastic musical journey this album is from start to finish.
This was at a time when Quad Stereo was the latest "big tech" thing back then and The Who Quadrophenia album was another major soundtrack for us who grew up in the magical " Wonder Years" of the 70s..
The Who, without any doubt, the very greatest band of all time. The purest essence of Rock Music. And this track, at 54 years of age myself, still brings a lump and a tear, like it did when I heard it first, aged 12, xxx
So you did this reaction a year ago and I am just watching you for the first time cuz I love every song by The Who. You're extremely soft and lovely but you're getting me as a subscriber. Please play a lot more of The Who. The greatest rock and roll band ever but Talks Cheap. You need to listen to their incredible music
You did very well, sweety. You have a great voice - and thank you for listening to the whole piece. The thing you're most worried about is actually your biggest prize.
This was quite simply put, the Who's greatest output of their career. The album is great, and this song showed every of the member's virtuosity. Only Pete and Roger are left today, but this was their best.
I have seen The Who play this song live with a full orchestra twice in recent years. The first was a bucket list item I never thought I would see. The second was a bonus. They may never tour together in the US again. I think Roger Daltry is touring the US himself this summer, but the set list wasn’t that inspiring to me.
Your mic is pointing in the wrong direction. It's such a high-quality mic that you should take full advantage of its incredible properties. In this video it is pointing 45 degrees "off axis". Your mic is a knock off (but still fantastic) of the Neumann U87, designed in Germany many decades ago. Pure perfection. The U87 is a $2600 mic (dem Germans make the best microphones anywhere). Suggestion: When the mic is on there is a small green light. The green light is the front. Point your nose toward that light and you'll be fine. There is also a pattern switch which should be switched to the icon shaped like a little heart (cardioid pattern). If you want a warm voice sound place your mouth should be 2 to 5 inches from the mic. For videos when you don't want the mic covering your face it's OK to have the mic farther away (no more than 14 inches) but continue to point your nose toward the green light! If you choose to be less than 5" from the mic then a $10 pop filter will eliminate any popping P's. I have not seen your other videos so perhaps you have already corrected this issue.
Dani, Can you please react to "Crazy For You" by Madonna from 1985. It's a great ballad love song by her and it was a #1 song soon after it's release. You have not reacted to anything by Madonna so far yet so this song is a great start.😃🎧
Extraordinary powerful song. I'm 57, been listening to this since I was a little kid. Still gets me. 😊
Roger's vocals are so wonderful and deep to his soul..just beautiful 😊😊😊😊

The WHO: Absolutely one of the greatest rock bands ever. You need to listen to it in it's entirety....like Tommy and Who's next.
"Young Man Blues" from "Isle of Wight" live is for me the must watch performance
Preach, brother!!
The mighty Who 🎸
This whole album is the greatest rainy day listen 👂🏻 🎧. ☔🌧️☔🌧️☔🌧️

These 4 are imo the greatest band ever.love your channel girl
Thank you!!! So happy to have you here!
You're right.
This is the final song on a double album rock opera called Quadrophenia.
Roger is amazing on this song and the whole album.
Fantastic song and great vocal performance by Roger Daltrey. Great choice to listen to.
Please more Who. Their Who Are You is excellent. And for their earlier stuff, Baba O Reilly is too hot
Thanks Dani ❤
Behind blue eyes and slip kid 2 great songs make you glad you were born 👶😄

THE WHO THE GREATEST LIVE BAND EVER AND EVER WILL BE.
From an amazing album and one of the best films ever made.
My all time favorite band. I love counting down the ten symbol crashes to end song.
"Who are You" is my ringtone.
Oops, cymbal crashes
Outro: Keith Moon goes nuts on the drums.
This was at a time when Quad Stereo was the latest "big tech" thing back then and The Who Quadrophenia album was another major soundtrack for us who grew up in the magical " Wonder Years" of the 70s..
I love "The Seeker" and "Substitute" by the Who
The drum work here is also great
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL SONG FROM THE WHO.
The Who, without any doubt, the very greatest band of all time. The purest essence of Rock Music. And this track, at 54 years of age myself, still brings a lump and a tear, like it did when I heard it first, aged 12, xxx
Me too

Please do a reaction to the live performance of a quick one while he's away from the who (circus 1969). It's incredible.
You did very well, sweety. You have a great voice - and thank you for listening to the whole piece. The thing you're most worried about is actually your biggest prize.
More The Who, please
It took two albums for him to belt like this again.
The Who - Baba O'Riley
You will adore "a quick one miles he's away" live by the Who.
thx for the music! love the Who!
Spot on reaction, well done!
Tingles down the spine from the intro
Keith's percussion work is superb
This is te climax of their rock opera quadraphinia
This was quite simply put, the Who's greatest output of their career. The album is great, and this song showed every of the member's virtuosity. Only Pete and Roger are left today, but this was their best.
Good song, I will put it tp my collection. TYD 💐
Roger is definitely at his best here.
Quadrophenia. Did you get the reign/rain aspect in the song?
a very beautiful young lady, listening to a f..king beautiful song you cant get better than that.
If I had to pick the best rock song ever, it would be this one.
Some bands just stand the test of time, 'cos you can hear they aren't pretending a bit or performing, they mean what they do ...
They could make music and lyrics in the 60s-70s-80s and without a lot of technical equipment!!!
You can see where guns and roses got their inspiration for November rain

Love your reaction to Elvis. Check out Conway Twitty. Also the Eagles. Thank's.
Pearl Jam does a great cover of this song
Who are you from 1976
The Who, my favorite albums are “Who’s Next” and “Quadrophenia”, To me Quadrophenia, the album and the movie is better than Tommy.
Suggestion:
Led Zeppelin - In my time of dying
LIVE at Earl's Court 1975
