Your videos started my bushcraft obsession. The billy can over the fire always cheers me up after a difficult week. Always enjoy your videos. Hope you are doing great. Cheers, Brian
I agree with Brian, 5-6 days of hectic life, then i come back to a a dose of sanity and watch some relaxing bush craft videos. I consider myself a reasonable outdoors person, where i can almost thrive in any environment; and yet whenever i watch his videos I always seem to find new uses for items i hadn't realized of before.
Loved the vid as always. what a great idea about the fire steel with the fatwood handle. ive got to whittle one of them cups i keep meaning to do it. all the best Craig
Hey Mike nice series. Another drink that is good is hot lemon with honey. It isn't just for when you have a cold. My brother and I take small lemons with us when canoe camping and slice them up and throw them in a pot of boiling water and add honey. It makes a nice alternative to tea or coffee and it gives you vitamin C and energy from the honey.
Hi Brian, Thank you very much for your kind words, I do enjoy the simple way in the woods sometimes its very easy to get carried away with lots of kit and tech. ATB Mike
Hi Lee, I have yet to this date had any negative remarks or words between anyone in this Forest. But I have done in the past when I did not have the dog. I would have to say that they are best avoided as they will be the ones to cause you problems.
i use my knife to cut an "X" on the top and fold back the flaps pull a bit of the cotton wool up as a wick. Yes the trousers are Bear bloody grylls lol
Hi Mike great vids again. You mentioned the presence of dog walkers. Have you ever had to deal with negative contact with passers by and if so any advise for us. Cheers Lee.
This is the first time I seen a hammock inside a sleeping bag, sounds like a great idea because you won't get much insulation from underneath when the bottom is compressed under you. What do you do with your tinder packs? Rip a small hole in the foil and light it? Did I hear correctly that your pants are Bear Grylls? Keep up the good work!
So...people are out walking their dogs all around where you're camping? Isn't that a bit embarrassing, being out among well-traveled paths with all that survival gear while people are out reading the morning paper on a stroll with the dog?

I don't like neck knives either. Always seem to get in the way. Excellent idea to put that fire steel in maya wood.

Any chance you could do a video on one night with just your survival pouch?

Hey Mike, did you say that Swanndri was NOT doing a very good job keeping the wind chill out even when lined? All the best!

farm land buddy, shotguns probably shooting mole hills and pigeon
What are those pants? Cool pockets.
do you consider a possibles pouch an emergency only kit or do you use it all the time?
I'm hearing what sounds like gunfire in the background. What's up?
What is the most regular length of time that you spend out there alone?
What's the dog eat? You said she has some rawhides but does she haul her own food?
