Come on then Mike, lets 'ave Part 2 up mate! Its been far too long! lol! Glad all the stuff from this year has been sorted out as much as poss. All the best and MTFBWY!
Oh goodness. I was trying to find out what mtfbwy meant without looking it up and couldn't think of anything. Now I feel like an idiot after looking it up and seeing your name.
I had to comment on your sleep system since mine has evolved to the point of yours. I use the SOL bivy sack. I hated the orange so I dyed it black. I modified a poncho liner to be a coat/sleeping bag. And I found that to be inadequite. So I bought a Genuine mil surplus itallian officers blanket. ... my ground cloth is a poncho with a space blanket spray glued to it. It doubles as my outer shell, rain coat, heat reflective outer layer. I use a 10x12 camo tarp with space blankets spray glued to it. I build a fire in the shelter. I use one of my stainless steel pots over it propped on a stick as a radator. The metal gets hot and throws heat. In my shelter it bounces around. The whole setup takes lots of sewing and time but they don't sell the best stuff in a store. You have to make it.
I'm impressed foggy, great job.
Good to see you out and about fella. Look forward to the next one
