Usually I feed the homeless but this year I’m not financially able to buy the food so when I saw your video , I instantly went to DG . Okay so I am so confused. Yellow dot, Walmart etc. could you please do a good explanation video on how you save money at these stores. A good 15 minute talk through for some of us slow people. For anyone catching this late like me, my store didn't have anything left but then i started looking under the hanging clothes where a lot had fell on the floor/shelf underneath. I managed to find at least 40 items, mainly kids stuff.

Stores say that those items aren't suppose to be on the floor, I got 10 key chains and one pair of earrings from my dollar general... The worker acted mad that I had some... Those workers know good and well they put that stuff aside and buy it themselves. Good looking out girl... I got some.

For months I’ve been drooling over everyone’s Penny finds and I have found very little. Today I hit the jackpot in three different stores found three baggy loads of clothes! I will be donating what my six grandchildren cannot wear. Halloween candy ringing 50 percent tho. Ugh. A great day! One of the stores the manager actually helped myself and another lady find items! White dot clothing are penny too!

You watch utube. Certain items reduce to a penny on most Tuesdays At dollar general stores. The stores are supposed to remove them from the shelves but a lot of times they do not. You cannot go in the store and ask for Penny items!

If something has been on sale for a while, they'll continue to drop the price until it's supposed to be pulled from the shelf completely. This is when the item pennies out. It usually happens to holiday items- like today I found some Valentine's socks that were a penny.
They send out a letter to each dollar General, stating which items are pennied out and the employees go and pull the items and send them back to the distribution. However, depending on the store and how much the employees care and look for the items, many get left behind or forgotten. If a customer finds a penny item, the ‘standard operating procedure’ is to only allow the customer to purchase one of the pennied item and ask where they got it from. The employee is then supposed to immediately pull the rest of the item.
However, some employees don't care and will allow you to purchase as many as you want. If you're nice, or act surprised and happy that the item is a penny, they'll probably let it slide. NEVER argue about an item that supposed to be a penny. If it doesn't ring up like you thought, simply say you thought it was on sale and don't want it. Arguing will guarantee the employee won't help you or let you get more than one penny item. I know some websites post the pennied item lists, but it varies from store to store.
Mine doesn't care they'll even put everything on a table because there's not enough to send back so they don't really care.

Gurl I got there at 7:59.. lol..came out with 4 buggies .. over 400 items..guys don't forget to check the floral/flowers...they are green dot. And double check the pink square toys they can get mixed in with the new Christmas toys they are bringing out... good luck..I've been doing this for 6 years..better than Black Friday to me!!! Woohoo!!!

@@jessm3035 yes!!!... The only exclusion I saw were the citronella candle that says outdoor use..other than that yes all green dot!
Also don't forget to check around the register or cashwrap sometimes key chains, pens, and other yellow dot accessories are placed there... Good luck!

I got lucky ... went to 4 different DG’s a few hours before closing & only got lucky at 1 🤩 i got 20 clothing items & about 6 pens & one hat for .01 each. The cashier was so surprised & my husband blabbed his mouth bc he was excited/surprised as well. Luckily the cashier was nice (she barely started working there).

I went back the next morning when they opened and found 17 more penny items! You have to dig though lol. It’s like a treasure hunt to me so I don’t mind digging at all! I hope that you find some stuff. Btw... don’t ask employees. They will try to pull the stuff before you can get it. It’s what they were supposed to do in the first place but didn’t... so 🤫 ok lol. I made the mistake and asked. The manager was trying to get to stuff before I did lol. Welp... he was too slow! 😂

Its seasonal. So anything that says SS18 with a yellow dot on the tag is a penny. Anything SS19 is full price.

OK so I went and tried the penny thing and this actually did work. I was really surprised. I even got a $12 pair of leggings for myself for a penny and a bunch of stuff for my kid to play with

Ok, so after watching and rewatching the video and reading a lot of the comments, it looks like its any time, but you must search for the yellow dot items only, jewelry and clothing items, shoes and seasonals but not sandals. On tuesday's new items get marked down, but the items are supposed to be taken off the shelves when they make it to a penny - so thats why it's important to go quickly.
I’m not understanding either I went in found slippers and some wallets with the yellow dot but none of rang up as a penny
The items don't always come up as a penny, a new penny list comes out every week from Christa coupons / powered by pennies, and there's tips into how to find them also like if they are a year old, like 14S in the tag means 2014 Spring that would likely be a penny. The items can go a penny quick and then not be a penny anymore after a day or two, but penny items are out there as long as they are discontinued and it will require quite a search.

You're the best, I'm new trying to couponing and specially penny shopping baby and kids clothes not for me but to donate to friends in Cuba, I'm not Cuban but went there and see so many mothers with babies and kids that really need a little help, it's hard to see our kids here with brand clothes and brand sneakers and then see those kids there wearing what ever their family here in the US can get them, and see those kids faces when you give their used clothes they feel like it's brand new. I know sounds too dramatic but I'm very sentimental and would love to see all kids in the world not only our kids here in US but all over the world happy. So thank you again for all these videos and I'm crossing fingers this weekend would be my first going to every dollar general from Orlando to Poinciana trying to find some kids clothes and baby clothes, one of my friends in cuba just had a baby girl and her husband left the country and didn't care about the baby and she doesn't has any family here to help her or send her clothes for her baby girl. Adriana D you have to follow the penny groups on Facebook. I don’t know how everyone finds out but they definitely don’t list it in their sales flyer. Because they aren’t actually for customers to buy. They employees are supposed to remove the items from the sales floor when they get to 1 penny.

no lies, if I had a DG near me I’d be shopping there all the time. And I’d still keep 50 cent candy. That’s way cheap for candy and I like to bulk up in case my spouse has low blood sugar. Sometimes his insulin and diet just isn’t enough to keep his blood sugar even, especially during the heat

Sorry but my Dollar General was regular price NOT A PENNY. I think your deals are only in certain regions and not in all stores. I checked three Dollar Generals in my area and candy was marked down only 50%. Also no cranberry sauce or gravy at all in the stores. They still have not unpacked the toys. I HATE MY STORES!!!!!LOL
