@@dansands8140 I think you need to look at rankings not made by the US gov't... The US isn't even top 15 in healthcare in most studies and rankings (primarily due to access and costs, there's also lower success rates for curable and manageable diseases almost across the board). For education the US is higher in the ranking, but not #1 (once again, if you can afford it, its anywhere from fine to great, but you need money for it to be decent). Wealth? I mean the US is certainly top heavy, so I don't really know how you measure that in as all it does is skew the numbers up? The US also has the 28th spot in people living below the poverty line. That puts it below countries and statistical bodies like Serbia, Thailand, Vietnam, The European Union, and Canada.
For the little people like you and me yes, but America is very effective in doing what they want to do. They are trying to keep poor people and PoC from success as they as always have and they've been going strong for 250 years.
It is not just America either. In Toronto, Canada the ex-police chief got in on the marijuana industry early and is reaping the benefits. Here is another douche bag who spent years of his life arresting and ruining the lives of others, who was greatly outspoken for his disgruntled views on these "drug users", and who now earns big bucks and is similarly protected by the laws.

It's all in the word games "they" use. We don't need "legalized" marijuana, we need "decriminalized" marijuana. "Legalized" allows for government control. Same as it was when it was against the law. "Decriminalized" means do whatever you want. Keyword to do with "legalize" is LICENSE. Decriminalize doesn't require a license.
Decriminalized means no legal shops. Schedule 1 substance. No supervision. That means no true high potency products unless you make them. A C02 machine costs like 30k. The legal weed industry is the worst in NYC. There are 10 companies trying to charge what they themselves call “HIV treatment prices”
But "Bonner" would not be able to make his $300 Mil pay day if that was allowed. States would not be able to reap any tax REVENUE of the pot smoking population to piss away on their reelections and pensions. This is just gamed so the "poor" keep funding the crooked rich.
@Stephen Shaw As far as perennial goes, auto-flowering(ruderalis species genes) cannabis is the easiest to grow and has high clone rates. They can be grown outdoors in most conditions unlike indoor plants that require crazy setups, but they do want some nutrients at certain stages. Only downside is that they dont produce the most yields in comparison.
@@blobeyeordie lol autoflower is not new grower friendly, they are very easy to mess up and get some 2g bud because they are so easy to stress out and mess up. You can't clone and auto (you can but no just no) if you do that clone will be on the day the plant is and only have x time after it spends more time trying to reroot. If you take clones at day 30/65 the clone will pick up from there not start over. They can be easy but they can also be big problems if you're still new new. Photos are the best to start with you can get away with a lot more mistakes that you can learn from and still have a good harvest.

There's nothing wrong in growing weed around ganesh, but when the system systematically excludes minorities while allowing the privileged to make a buck out of the very identities it seeks to discourage, the irony is alarming.

Question: How do you "enslave" a "free market?"
Answer : Licenses
A free market always favours capitol anyway so those with it end up controlling everything anyway. Like the way things are now 🙂✌
Travelling Jack a truly free market has zero regulation so you are right, over time, capital will eventually win over time. However, with government regulation in the wrong areas as they are now, your statement is 200% more clear and accurate.
Yep, and regulation will continue to be tailored to favor big businesses until we can undermine they're control of legislation. I need that single transferable vote in my life.
@Jack - Perhaps you are right for the most part but... no free market would ever hinder next guy with a new idea to have a shot at break. Please don't justify free-market-favor-capital with this license-favor-selected-capital.
Corporations issue license's under a corporate charter(DMV, Vital Statistics, Social Security, City, State of, etc..) in an attempt to convert a unalienable right into a mere licensed privilege. Perhaps, at this point in time the sheep are ready for their license to breathe. Why conduct yourselves freely when you all can legalize it. All you fucking sheep get exactly what you deserve.

There's very little money in the weed industry. Have you seen the collapse of Tilray and other major weed producers?
It's all in the word games "they" use. We don't need "legalized" marijuana, we need "decriminalized" marijuana. "Legalized" allows for government control. Same as it was when it was against the law. "Decriminalized" means do whatever you want.
Keyword to do with "legalize" is LICENSE. Decriminalize doesn't require a license.
your a smartie, good explanation
Decriminalized means no legal shops. Schedule 1 substance. No supervision. That means no true high potency products unless you make them. A C02 machine costs like 30k. The legal weed industry is the worst in NYC. There are 10 companies trying to charge what they themselves call “HIV treatment prices”

Decriminilization is usually one step below legalization. What is happening now is not legalization bit in fact decriminilization. States are saying it is still illegal(because that is not up to them but the federal government), but we wont arrest you for it (decriminilized).
You still cant use the same lanes as many other industries because it is illegal. So legalization would in fact be the way to go but ofc that is only the first step. Good regulation etc should come next (or rather in one package).
Hyper criminilization of everything (incl drugs) is more of a policing / justice system (aka "tough on crime") issue that definetely should be adressed as well tho.

9:37 Florida: Statistically, the state most likely be named after the words "There's a state that's even worse"
Laughing here...
You know, I am starting to think this whole licensing thing for any industry is just white collar unions.
It's the same in Canada, I refuse to buy 'legal' weed, I smoke daily.
Yeah but you act like it's impossible to find a source. Listen I'm not buying this whole "dur I don't support big businesses, I buy mine on the side". But at the same time there are more tham enough pot heads growing their own shit. It's not hard to stumble upon a grower in a illegal state. It comes with good and bad quality but it's deff possible to have a side hook up. That said they expect you to buy north of $500 per month or so.
@Jessica Hicking It's mostly legal, but it ain't free
@Noah Hamann Dude, I've been smoking weed for 50 years, I don't need you to tell me how it works, and you're beyond dumb if you think you know what I think. Have a good day.
@Noah Hamann I call bullshit on that bro. There's small grows everywhere now.
@@real_lostinthefogofwar 38 years for me and Noah Hamann doesn't know what he's talking about.
I love the confused faces of the interviewees when he takes sarcastic pauses in between the interview.
The reason I like Hasan Minhaj so much is because he is like a Niche John Oliver. He goes for the stories that John Oliver misses, yet are as equally important.
"if they don't kill a bird every game, I'm not watching" lol
Seriously, the people who’ve been making money selling weed for years are in jail and now big pharma wants to take it over.
let's not forget the former cops, prosecutors, and current sitting POLITICIANS having their own businesses too. Scums of the Earth
I have NOO idea how can anybody argue with legalization of marijuana as long as alcohol is legal !!!
@Rusty Shackleford Yep, and tobacco with only detrimental health results, still Legal AF
All drugs should be decriminalized. Prices will drop and that will remove the incentive for profit and the dealer will stop peddling to kids and stop killing competition. Have the same rules as alcohol. DWI for anyone caught driving high.
You didn’t pay attention to the problems
I've seriously missed Hasan's hand gestures 😭
Muyi Adonri .......PATRIOT ACT ROCKS!
😂😂
I don't miss that he's tone deaf and goes from a whisper to a full yell within seconds.
Yes my husband got a weed charge in Louisiana 10 years ago when he was 17 and it still prevents him from getting jobs in his field to this day let alone two years ago I was arrested over weed and thrown in jail for a week over it …..
I'm currently working with a state attorney to drop a federal charge for possession of a vape pen. Driving through the state of Nebraska.
It really amazes me how great I feel while watching every episode even though most of the issues have nothing to do with my life in any way. The fact that I learn a lot without getting bored is a big bonus. Already looking forward to next week!
It's not easy to open a marijuana dispensary. You need lots of money and know the right people.
The color of your skin helps too
Same thing with any kind of business that produces a large profit. in other words, the rich will get richer, and the poor could maybe get just above broke if they tried very hard.
Geez I noticed its racism in marijuana....racism and weed omg these ppl
@@jaythomas3224 - I hope your wrong.
And cannibis industry is making it nearly impossible. They wanna a monopoly in perpetuity.
While mentioning "Florida cartels", I'm afraid you forgot Disney. 😂
@You Wish Disney is the reason copyright law is so insane -- it shouldn't be anywhere near 75-125 years -- 25 to 50 MAYBE, if you want a balance & people to respect it, which right now many don't.
Drug cartels aren't bad.
It all depends who gain$ from it!!!!!
@You Wish Disney is cartel in the entertainment business the same way these cannabis companies are referred to as cartels in their business. They're worse than cartels; they have the law on their side.
😆😆😆
If it is legalized they will take all of the seeds out!
