Bobby, vegetarians can't be trusted. Just last week, we caught one of 'em siphoning gas out of a company truck.

Assume she's coming from a place of love. If she is vegan for ethical reasons, you have more options than to join her or convince to not be vegan. You can work to understand her perspective and work as a team to make it work for the family. I'm vegetarian and my partner eats meat, she loves trying meatless alternatives and adding more vegetables to meals. I won't force her to be not eat meat, that is her choice, and it works for us. But I also wanted her to understand WHY I'm vegetarian, so there is no confusion. Sometimes, diet changes are an ego trip that is spurned on by frustration with industrialized farming etc. and the ego trip is taking them for a ride and they don't realize that they are doing it. It shouldn't be about controlling her or making her change. Partners make decisions together and respect each other's choices
However, getting the kids involved and making them believe that chicken eggs are baby chickens is just not right. Its toxic and should be the focus of the conversation, not the veganism itself. Its like if he turned around and was saying "vegetables are the work of the devil kids". Doesn't matter what diet choices they are making, they are straight up telling lies to their kids.

My biggest tip, there’s always 2 sides to the story, she might have a valid reason, me and my girl have started buying meat from a family friend because I don’t think the slaughter of cattle should be supported, more humane ways of obtaining meat clears my mind a lot about it.
Plus it helps the local economy

"What I've Learned" made a video on why Veganism doesn't work. To summarize it here, a lot of vitamins, minerals etc., that come from animal products and aren't found in the necessary quantities or at all in vegetables, which is why Vegans have to take supplements. The issue arises later on in the diet because even with supplements the body can't break down and utilize enough of the provided micro-nutrients since the diet itself causes changes to the acidity of the stomach juices. There were also other reasons, but the gist is that a Vegan only diet can't be sustained and can be harmful to the person undergoing it - which is what prompted me to engage on the topic. Vegan diets in growing children are a big no-no. The aforementioned video also has material on diet and development and so on, so I won't go into it here. Basically, whatever Daryl's wife believes, she can do freely unto herself, but the child/children need to have a normal(read omnivorous) diet until development of the organism ends. I'd honestly just show her that video since it also quotes it's sources.

Ethics are a funny thing. Ethical veganism comes from the assumption that no existence is better than one that is short and, in a factory farm, horrific. From what I know angus cattle would die out without our consumption of them. Ethics always come from an assumption.

First and foremost from these situations is recognize your own biases and approach it from a neutral viewpoint, even if it is a trend situation.
Best case scenario while she remains vegan? You are able to agree to live and let live, with hopefully no conflicting influences on the kids, letting them decide which standpoint is better for them.
My sister, who is very much in the hippie group of people is a staunch vegan trough ethical lense, but we have agreed that whenever she is visiting, neither of us mind what the other eats.

"The chicken that wasn't on this sandwich is definetly happy being in another sandwich by another restaurant that is gonna get eatten anyways"
-George "Francis of the Filth" Miller
Jokes aside i don't really mind people being vegan what annoys me tho is the fact that they are not different from jeovah witnesses trying to impose their ideal over other people when not everyone wants to have the same mind set or ideals

If that were my wife the last thing she'd eat is fruit punch. I mean i know my dogs groomer/daycare/trainer she's vegan but she's cool and not preachy plus she actually buys good quality local meat to feed her dogs she doesn't even feed them dog food it's real beef , fish and chicken. She just chooses not to eat it herself. But your wife pushing that bullshit on the kids is scary fren I wouldn't know what to do in your shoes to be honest.

A bit extreme but red pill advice here. Check after what has her interest and break it down if its a social liberty she's attempting challenge it. If you permit her to "walk over you" you will begin losing respect and when your woman starts losing her respect to you she begins to become distant and that is yes usually the pathway to divorce.

    A) "veganism" isn't a trend, it's a lifestyle (from my understanding)
    B) Trying to say that she is misguided or delusional or whatever because of a "Facebook group" is a gross oversimplification of the fact that there are many groups that are simply trying to show facts and logic (that are actually based in science), that the way many humans treat many animals is incredibly inhumane. Yes, there are groups that use scare tactics to get people to change their life, but those are usually easy to spot if you have more than 3 brain cells.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if that opinion is that other people can't live their life the way they want to.
Also, I want to state the im not defending the wife here. The whole "stealing the chicken babies" part is a disgusting thing to tell your children without notifying your partner.
I dont believe either party is in the right here, they both seem to have overreacted and im surprised they haven't talked to each other about this yet.
