@@a.trance6997 Korone's dad owns a lot of retro games. Sometimes he boasts about beating a game faster than Korone or claims that a game is easy despite her having a difficult time. Almost scolding her about it lol.
You see, the trick is knowing that Korone would never address the kagainiki with a simple "hello". If she wanted something, she would hit us with the classic "hey guys". Also, we got a Koropapa mention!
Oh my god, please give Korone the ok to play Halo! Halo 1-3 was my childhood and it had a really good story to boot. I was so obsessed as a child that I even read the novels.
I think holo will get it... EN had ame and calli do reach a bit... so even if they need to get permission for jp separately, should be easy?
As a person who played Halo 1 and 2 in my college dorms, this makes me feel old.

I think they don't have issues, Microsoft has promoted game pass through hololive and had botan play Halo infinite, so I don't think there is an issue

@@freecomkcf Yeah, and...it failed miserably. Hell, they even got an anime voice actress (Kana Ueda) to play Halo 3 to promote it and it still didn't go anywhere!
But nowadays, Japanese are embracing PC gaming more and with the popularity of livestreaming games and vtubers? Maybe Halo might get more attention from the Japanese if Korone ends up doing a Let's Play for it.
@@wchan39 pc gaming mostly only got popular in japan because vtubers started making it popular again (like nekomiya hinata), before then it was something only possibly murderous otaku did to fap to visual novels
her L pronunciation is actually incredible for a Japanese speaker
as far as JP members go, Korone's English pronunciation is often quite good imo
or you know, instead of trying to say L by it self just remember *EL* and you got it.

Her accent is very interesting. When she speaks English words, she speaks the words like a native speaker -- not just the Ls and Rs, but also other phonemes which don't exist in Japanese, like Thorn (the TH sound in "thorn" and "thank you").
She even has a non-rhotic pronunciation for some words. A native English speaker with a non-rhotic accent would pronounce the first R in "forever" but not the second, as the first R has a vowel sound immediately after but the second R does not. I would definitely pronounce "forever" very closely to how Korone did, and I'm pretty sure Bae would too.
@@Geoff69420 I think that's actually a natural advantage she had before learning English because we see so many interactions between her and the others about her unusual lack of sylable intonation. Which is more prevalent in Japanese than English. Like when they were going back and forth about "hagendas" it seemed to be funny to them but as an English speaker I didn't really even notice a difference in their pronunciation

OMG I'll legit stay up just to watch her play halo and hope the JP bros tell her to start with combat evolved.
Watching Korone play through the Halo series would be a serious trip down memory lane as I played those games growing up. The good thing is that the Master Chief collection is available on PC and it's quite good so she can play through an up-to-date version of the game right on her PC and then stop at Halo 3 because the other games in the series don't actually exist.
As far as I'm concerned we finished the fight and _didn't_ start another. Nope, no sirree.

Does the story get that deep? I always thought of Doomguy as angry Master Chief because I only played Halo 1 and 2 (for the most part)
@@wessltov Master Chief isn't in Halo Reach besides as a Easter egg that you can find by messing with the camera.
Story fellows Noble Team, a squad six man squad of Spartan IIIs and a single Spartan II. You play as Noble Six, the Spartan III equivalent of Master Chief.
The thing about Reach is that only a handful of Spartans survived the conflict with only one of Noble Team surviving. The opening pretty much spells out that you're going to die before it shifts to the events prior to Noble Six's death.

Ooooooh, Doggo playing Halo should be a treat. I remember way back watching her play Doom 64 live was a riot. That was right around when I first got into Hololive, and I think it was her first FPS? And it was the first time she really made a big splash with the kaigainiki, the playthrough that launched a thousand memes lol It feels like it was the beginning of a legend, rocketing her to international notoriety and together with Coco and Pekora (and ID and everyone else of course) helping pave the way for HoloEN. She's grown so much, both as a gamer and as a streamer. We love to see it.
