Korone's love for Wingull is honestly my favorite thing about her playthrough. She plays these games so much differently than anyone else... It doesn't matter if it would get stronger when it evolves, she loves Wingull so that's what she's gonna use.

@@TheUglyFish When Pokemon home availablity comes you can bring an Ursaring with Bellydrum, Facade and Guts over and evolve it to Ursaluna which has a base Atk of 140, if you can bring Pokemon over who can learn these moves in older Gens.
You gotta give props to the little fella, it may not have the greatest stats compared to fully evolved 'mons, but it still took down it's evolved form just like Pikachu defeating Surge's Raichu. Also, that tiny bird using Hurricane is really hilarious to me lol

she uses the eviolite to prevent it from evolving. Also, that thing gives 50% of both defenses so its still pretty good, but with how low wingull's stats are, a focus sash would probably still be a little better.

If her Prius was properly EV trained and holding and Eviolite, her battles would definitely go smoothly but regardless, I'm happy that she's enjoying the game her own way. Before, I wanted to know what would happen if she were to come across a shiny Wingull but then I remembered Korone is the best dog in existence, she's all about that loyalty! _(Rip Shiny Wingull lol)_
It HAS an eviolite but it's not doing much at all because Wingull's base defense and special defense are just too low for an extra 50% to matter. It's really only viable on pre-evolutions that are already a little tanky, like at 60+ in order to push to 90+ which is where a lot of well-rounded fully evolved mons sit. Honestly I'd be giving Wingull a Focus Sash instead.
Kudos to Korone for sticking to her guns, even if it's a losing strategy on average. I tend to use pokemon I like instead of core meta ones, but I only keep unevolved ones in my box for taking out on picnics.
Still remember my first playthrough of the original Blue Version on Gameboy. Bulbasaur was my favourite and I refused to let it evolve. Whenever my friends would come around to play Pokemon Stadium everyone used to laugh when my level 100 Bulbasaur would make an appearance.

Well, wingull are cute but squishy. Well you can use it as support. So you have your water pokemon like Gyarados/Azumaril/Quaquaval/Vaporeon boosted from tail wind or rain dance. Then just spam aqua jets/waterfall/surf. Hurricane/Tail Wind Chilling Water/Soak Rain Dance U turn
I love that she doesn’t seem to care as much about having the perfect team that tanks heaps of hits and deals massive damage. She refuses to evolve her Wingull even if that would make it stronger, simply because she loves it as it is. I can respect that.
