  • This Sichuan beef is an incredibly easy but rewarding stir fry that can be made any point during the week. Stir fries in general are hacks for people that don't want to spend too long in the kitchen, and they still come out tasting great.

    Ingredients:
    Marinade:
    -1/2lb (250g) any cut of beef
    -1 tbsp soy sauce
    -1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
    -1 tsp oil
    -1 tsp cornstarch
    For the Sauce:
    -1 tbsp soy sauce
    -1 tsp dark soy sauce
    -1 tbsp black vinegar
    -1 tbsp doubanjiang
    -1 tsp sugar
    -1/2 cup water + bouillon or dashi powder
    -Black pepper
    For the Stir-Fry:
    -3-4 dried chiles de árbol
    -1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
    -3 cloves garlic
    -1-inch piece ginger
    -1 red bell pepper
    -1 green bell pepper
    -1 medium onion
    -2-3 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
