Best toy on the list ALSO comes with the BEST STORY on the list! ‘They’ say, “toys are for kids” - but here’s a case of an adult father & son sharing creating a cherished memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing such a personal moment! Cheers! Merry Christmas, happy New Year and hopefully 2025 is filled with even more wonderful stories for you & yours!!
As a Dad of 2 boys, whom I have inspired to become collectors in their own right, I can say that when the time is right giving your child something from the collection that means a great deal to both is an amazing emotional and satisfying thing. To be able to talk about it see the appreciation in their eyes...its truly the BEST! Fantastic video All the best in the New Year Happy hunting!!!
Damn it, Tony. You got me all emotional with your #1 pick. That's a beautiful story, and I'm happy for you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Earlier I wished you a Merry Christmas. Just wanted to say that I love your videos. I’ve been watching for a few years now. Loved seeing you get emotional. I too have a collection that will go to my sons someday. I think they will be as appreciative as you are! Bee well and happy holidays to all!
A few weeks ago I found a vintage Kenner Death Star, complete with the box (minus the trash compactor foam pieces obviously) at Goodwill for 300 bucks. I wasn't even looking for toys at the time and while it's not a grail piece for me I just could not let it go. The top part of the box is damaged but the rest is in decent shape. Debating if I want to attempt any repairs to it or leave it as-is. Of course the bigger issue for me is where to put it. I don't have any big pieces like this for that very reason. I really would like to have it on display though instead of inside the box, up in the attic. It was a unexpected Christmas gift to myself..lol. Cheers, mate.
That was amazing video, I love your content. Thanks for sharing your collection and your stories with us. Keep putting it out I'll keep watching. Happy New Year's to you .
Beautiful list! The look and feel of Vintage toys fill out the imagination in way that many modern toys miss. The extreme detail, the comprehensive play features and the quality make for Beautiful and fulfilling works of art. Again, great list of some beautiful toys.
Great list! This year I managed to add both a Defiant and Terrordrome to my GI Joe collection, along with a good amount of figures and smaller vehicles. Happy New Year!
Great list! You’re a lucky bloke to have such a wonderful moment with your dad. Thanks for a great year of fantastic videos! All the best to you and your family! Have a happy new year!
Enhorabuena Tony, desde España te felicito. Me encantan tus vídeos por el amor y dedicación que sientes por esta pasión por los juguetes. Gran canal y seguro que mejor persona 😊
What an amazing video, love the number 1, what a beautiful reason for being top of your list and highly personal of you to share it. Have a great new year and here’s to 2025 being a good one!
Nice collection.. it's funny because I just started going back & buying the old Star Wars vehicles not the OG vintage but the POTF (I like their deco better) and I saw that Ewok village on eBay for $170 & passed on it cause I thought it would take up too much space but like the ships I see now it's smaller than I remember.,.. crazy
Hulk Rage Cage is a classic! Still have my Hulk. A local toy store here in Adelaide had it boxed in pretty nice condition. Still kicking myself I didn't grab it, ugh. Vintage Dalek is awesome...
I don't blame you for getting emotional getting that gift mate, my dad is leaving me his ReSaurus Speed Racer collection including mint sealed Mach 5 race car and that made me extremely honoured because he's a die hard Speed Racer fan and still gets giddy over getting Speed Racer stuff. Ironically most of the collection I bought for him anyway so it'll be funnier getting those back but those are gonna have a special spot in the display along with his picture because it was his favorite anime series from when he was a little boy.
Great video tony This channel is one of my only pleasures the nostalgia i love it i have had a terrible year my dad died of lung cancer and 2 month ago we found my mother dead on the kitchen floor then my beloved partner of 34 years got diagnosed with cancer These bring me a welcome break and relief from it all so have a fantastic new year and please keep the content rolling in Best wishes
Ok, I agree with your number one, what an amazing set just in itself. However I can fully understand the sentiments that come with the gift, as a father to son moment only become more precious as time passes as we realise our mortality. A great year for the channel, glad to have shared the ride!
Never stop being you mate, your one of the most earnest 'tubers out there and you set a great role model for any bloke watching. All the best in the new year Tony.
I had an Incredible Hulk inflatable Punch Bag as a Toddler in 81/82 ish timeframe, has anyone else ever seen one? I was scared of it as a Kid, it was one of my earliest memories! It must have only been about 3ft high and it had a white background. PS I think I just found it, It was called the 'Incredible Hulk Bop Bag'! I've looked for it for ages and it just popped up on Google! 😂
Kind of list i love because i also checked out of modern day toys, music and movies about 10 years ago yet i still find new (old) toy lines, music and movies that bring me more joy than their modern counterparts.
Saying you only started out with Kenner supes and bats is like saying "I ONLY got two winning lotto tickets this week" i had the worlds finest as a kid and still miss them to this day.
Great to see you getting into Super Powers, it's still one of the best superhero toy lines and it's always nice to see it getting another fan. Happy New Year.
