I pickup trash all the time around my neighborhood. Honestly id be annoyed too, like youre outside your home picking up trash, why would you have your wallet on you, or any proof you live there outside your keys? I dont take my purse on walks with me. And picking up trash isnt illegal, so he had no right to stop the guy to begin with. I was told by cops in seattle that they cannot remove people off residential properties unless the building manager asked for it, and they cannot go up to them and ask them for proof they live there if theyre just sitting on the steps, despite the signs saying no loitering. So i feel like this cop is totally out of line.
Saying a grabber is a weapon was utterly ridiculous. I've broken so many of those over the years because they're flimsy.
Have seen footage of officers stopping vehicles claiming brake light was out but it wasn't then arresting occupant for something unrelated. Should that not be allowed?

1st case: That cop had no reasonable articulable suspicion that he was trespassing. He was purely reacting on a hunch, and that guy's look. It has to be a lawful order, not just any old order the cop decides to give.
Agree. If you want to trespass someone you need to get a property manager to ask them to leave, then give them a chance to leave, THEN if they don't leave you can ask for ID.
The picture thing is so wild to me. Who would call 911 on that guy?? He told the fire department guys what he was doing, it’s so ridiculous to waste emergency resources like that.
So casing the joint is not a thing then. If the guy had complied he could have taken it up with the judge. This is about getting a windfall.

It's not obstructing when somebody is invoking their right to remain silent. What a shock another cop who doesn't know the law. He also doesn't have to identify himself when there's no reasonable articulable suspicion that he committed a crime outside of a stop and identify state. Or in certain circumstances like driving.

This is why all Officers Cameras should be revirwed by a Supervisor every Shift. So they get reprimanded for the way they Do and Treat People. I also blame the Citizens for not complying with what is asked of them. So Both Officers and Citizens are wrong. Just my Opinion
Exactly. As frustrating as it is, if and when a cop is in the wrong for detaining you, you should still try and comply. I know emotions run high, especially when you’re being accused of something you didn’t do, or didn’t do anything wrong to begin with; However, if you want to have a good case to use against them, comply so that they can’t use you not complying as an excuse to exercise even more force. I’ve seen other cases where they wrongfully ID’ed someone, and even after they figured out they had the wrong person, the person still got taken to jail because they resisted arrest.

Cops learn very quickly not to mess with me. I have gotten 5 police officers fired, 2 went to jail . One got 2 months for breaking my tag light, and trying to pull of my current registration, in front of officers from another department, They arrested him. The other got a life sentence for kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder. I'll say why later in a video on my channel

People must comply with the cops, we all want our homes to be safe. It almost seems everyone is just looking for a payout.
They don't always protect you. That's why most of us protect ourselves. I have officers in my family but I've seen enough to know better from other life experiences. You do NOT always comply depending on situations YOU need to know when and the why and be very careful

I was in the military, and feel like I would be a good officer in the civilian world. I would probably be let go for being too forgiving over minor issues. I probably wouldn't write tickets at all for things like seatbelts. That's probably the best kind, but it also means I wouldn't be beginning in enough revenue. Where I live some police told me they have a quota to reach.

I'm always surprised that people in the US don't necessarily have to show their ID to police officers when asked, depending on the circumstances. Over here in the Netherlands, one has to be able to show one's ID card to any officer who asks, as long as there's sort of a good reason for them to ask. Failure to show it will get you fined.
And swearing at a police officer like the guy who filmed that kid with the cop did at the end will also get you a big fine over here in the Netherlands, and it could lead to you getting detained or arrested.
Plus closed is closed over here, even for public services.
I get the idea cops have more rights in the Netherlands. I don't feel as if it's a bad thing though. Public servants deserve more respect than they usually get in the US.

I find the first incident confusing as I have seen on this channel and others the host commenting that not showing their ID, in other incidents, was making things worse etc but in this case the officer is in the wrong? The officer does not know the gentleman personally and he did say he wanted to make sure that the person wasn't trespassing which could've easily been sorted by showing ID with proof of address. Or are we now to believe everyone who states I live here? People may disagree with what I am saying I just don't think the officer was being rude or anything else people want to claim. All the person had to do is confirm his identity.
This whole incident =/= issue could be handled way different!. Neither side should escalate things!! And they wonder why most people don't TRUST cops!.

He didn’t ask him the actual apartment and at this point you’re unlawfully stopping someone and pulling out your gun. I believe there is something in the constitution. We should be able to protect ourselves from the police or anybody trying to get on somebody else’s land and tell them what to do. At this point I believe we should be able to protect ourselves and be able to put you down like a coward that you are see you could’ve called in and verified all this before bringing out your gun not only that there was no: for you to even do all it was unnecessary is the reason why cops are hate it and why no one and I mean no one is sitting there going.
