Also recommendation: Attack all those small valuables together on one keychain, and attach an airtag to it. Life saver.
I'll one up you - I pack my grocery bags according to categories. One bag for dairy and fridge, one for pantry... Then I unpack them one by one. I love you and everything you do! Thanks for sharing!
I do too! It helps so much
I also do this!
I also do this XD
Same
This is why I love self checkout and bagging my own groceries. It also helps if you are short on time you know exactly what needs to go in the fridge/freezer and what can wait to be put away. I also make my grocery list by department/aisle.
Appreciate this body double opportunity. I hit a lull in my cleaning and almost fell into a nap. Gonna make a coffee and keep it pushing. A clean and calm Sunday night is worth it 🙏🏽
We’ve got this!!!
My problem is I watch decluttering/cleaning videos at night so I have the urge at like 9pm
@@sarahkinsey5434nothin wrong with starting whenever the inspiration strikes. sometimes im up cleaning at midnight 😭 as long as it gets done, ya kno!
@@sleepy.timaeus.arts. it’s the same with sewing, but I unfortunately don’t live alone
@@sarahkinsey5434 I once had the urge to organize my clothes drawers at 10 p.m. My mother appeared at one point to ask what the hell I was doing 😂
excellent and necessary calm vibes as always Kathleen
I just finished you most recent video! You and Kathleen dropping the same day makes my day everytime. Thank you for your calm and creative vibes!
wake up babe, new kathleen illustrated video just dropped
i believe your pretty little watering can is technically a lota. they’re basically like a little bidet for cleaning up after using the bathroom. not that it can’t be used for plants, i just thought you might be interested in that bit of context
LOL it’s a can of all trades! Thank you!
As soon as I saw it I searched the comments 😂 why not be multi-functional!? I use an actual watering can (shaped like an elephant) soo 💚💚
@dawnelfiiya I went to look in the comments too! 😂😂😂 my friend used to used a Dora the Explorer watering can for theirs.
You know you’re a die hard when you remember Kathleen thrifting each of her vases.
hehe you a real one!!!
I love horror so here are some recommendations!!! Suspiria (1977) is an italian horror about demonic witches at a ballet academy. SOOO colorful and stylish and amazing soundtrack. Night of the Comet is an early 80's fun, vibey semi-horror about two valley girls that survive the end of the world. If you haven't seen The Fly from the 80's - that one is a sick body horror jeff goldblum fever dream, with a lot of humor. Ginger Snaps from 2000 is teen sisters going through werewolf puberty. Some modern recs would be Talk to Me & Barbarian - both super creative and well-made. Okay thanks!!!
Suspiria is incredible 😍😍😍
@Lily-ig1rt It has a lot of blood for sure
Official request for you to design and produce a graphic tshirt that says "My ducks are in different dimensions " I'm ready with my payment info. Ok, thank you!
I need to do this!! I have accumulated so many clothes from clothing swaps with my friends and I need to go through my whole closet to minimize how many options I have right now. It is TOO MUCH!!!
This was so nice and hang out-y, and really happy to hear you're putting proceeds toward the pcrf!!
I recently watched House (1975) for the first time and i loved it so much❤ it is technically a horror film but .. well.. its a trancendent experience mostly 🙀🎹
Your home is just so lovely! The backyard, the curated decor, the colour scheme… it’s so inviting ♥️♥️♥️
aw thank you!
I'm a nail girlie! I do my own at home as a nice, meditative, self care thing lol right now, they're spring green with a daisy on each pointer finger, and you can really tell which is my dominant hand 🌸
I wouldn't know where to start with that declutter. I completely understand why you needed to take frequent breaks. Thanks for the motivation, Kathleen!
That happens to me too. I'm so overwhelmed by how much there is. It's hard for me to just focus on one area at a time. I can't just ignore all the other stuff around me. I'm always envious of people who can just hyper focus on one task. I tend to end up fluttering about between different things doing parts of tasks but never really completing one of them.
This video is jussssst what I needed. As for unique horror recommendations, they are pretty popular/mainstream, but Get Out & Cabin in the Woods comes to mind as some of my favorite, different horror films
as per usual, I loved this. As someone with a lot of errands and decluttering to do, there's something kind of therapeutic about watching someone else do the same. Movie wise, my boyfriend's favourite film is The Thing and I remember sitting down to a watch it (as someone who is not great at horror movies) thinking, "right, I gotta watch this for him" and being absolutely terrified. I can suuuuper recommend It Follows. It has a little bit of gore but that's not the focus, it's utterly terrifying, the soundtrack is excellent, it's stylish and there really isn't anything quite like it.
I really enjoyed the monthly vlog feel to this one. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
Another fricking banger from KathleenIllustrated
I need to peel myself from the couch and declutter also, my daughters prom is Friday and I think her friends are coming here for pictures beforehand.
My strategy for getting started on a room is to just pick up the first thing I grab and just try to put it away. If it is overwhelming I also will sort them into groups because it makes it less overwhelming.
I have really been enjoying your channel, I discovered your content a couple of weeks ago. As an avid thrifter myself I got to thinking how some of my favorite pieces of clothing/accessories have been from thrift shops. Which inspired me to go on a thrift shop tour in my area and get more stuff last weekend, though I was proud to exercise some restraint 😂
Thanks for making awesome videos, hope you have a great week ❤️
Love the vibe of your videos. I enjoy being around creative people. 😊
That Windows 8 sweatshirt is a mood
Need to get myself one, its just so good 😅
@@zventus1 Me too, but Windows 7 and XP were my jam.
Hey Kathleen, I was wondering if you will ever be able to do a video of hanging your art up in that long, white hallway I really need some inspiration and I have a lot of art that I have been collecting from Comic conventions and estate, sales and antique stores and all kinds of places, and I really want to kind of get some great ideas from others. I hope this was a great spring cleaning for you cause it’s been fun to watch.
Drop everything! New Kathleen!
GO GO GO!
Your painted handbags are probably some of my favorite things you've made ❤❤
I'm a nail girly!! They look fabulous!!
Ooo I’m currently spring cleaning we have the same mindset
I NEEEEDED some spring cleaning inspo, thank youuuuuu
Just the motivation I needed. Clean with Kathleen! Thanks for keeping me company while I cleaned the house after the school holidays
Watch “The Others”!!! (Nicole Kidman)
I really need to organize too! Especially my closet, but the weather is still changing every day from warm to chilly and vice versa, so I'm waiting with that until May.
not me hearing "da-da-da-da-da" and immediately knowing you're listening to Stray Kids again
LOL caught. 🎪
I agree with your thoughts on Immaculate! I felt like everyone else really liked it haha
For a different horror movie I just watched Exhuma at the theater! It’s a subtitled supernatural horror movie from South Korea and it was different and I liked it so very much. The world building and story was amazing, highly recommend!
4:36 I'm so glad you though better of squishing such a good boys' head and gave him pets instead. You do know the content we're after. 💖 Immaculate vibes as always thank you for sharing your decluttering journey with us.
Nail girlie here! There are SO many cute nail artists and designs out there for you to play with! 😍
I'll recommend jawbreaker nails for you, because they're totally DIY-able and I'm definitely doing it next!
omg CUTE! I loved jawbreakers as s kid - this would be so perfeecctttt! lmk how they go for you!
So not movies but books…
A Southern Bookclubs Guide to Slaying Vampires
And
My Best friends Exorcism
Both by Grady Hendrix.
Have you ever watched Hitchcock’s “The Birds”? One of my fave horror/suspense movies. Also if you haven’t seen it, “Shaun of the Dead.” Both pretty popular movies, but I thought I would throw them out there.
Thank you for donating to the PCRF! ❤❤❤❤🇵🇸
I appreciate glimpses like this. So much of the internet is curated, sometimes I start to question if something is wrong with me. But no, I'm just human lol. This has also kicked my butt into gear for my own spring cleaning ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ
I love both of the book series you mentioned! I feel like you'd enjoy "A Psalm for the Wild Built" (or anything by Becky Chambers tbh)
Love you, byeeeee
The bouquets were perfect btw. Love it.
Kathleen, please speak on the framed Taco Bell sauce packets. A horror-ish film suggestion: "Bram Stoker's Dracula." Critics have dismissed this Francis Ford Coppola film as a miss, but if you watch it as a CAMP movie, it's an absolute riot. I mean, can Gary Oldman do wrong?
Fun video! I really enjoyed Late Night with the Devil as well. I think it's difficult to make decent horror. Possession movies- even moreso. But, I think they did a nice job switching it up. For horror, a couple that are a bit different and that I enjoyed: Creep (2014) and The Invitation (2015).
I am in desperate need of a good decluttering ... I like to do what I calll the wagon method... I have one of those folding wagons ... We use it mostly for bringing in our groceries and I use it to declutter one room at a time ... Everything that doesn't belong in the room gets put into the wagon so my results are rather quick which helps my 🧠 brain feel like I am accomplishing something ... The next day I go through the wagon and get rid of what I don't need and put the rest where it belongs ... Lol 🤭 Also I saw the T-shirts ... hopefully, you'll be sending me one soon since you said I'd be getting one back when you made the video for that project ... Love you stinky, see you next time!
You're welcome 😊 I am so glad you liked the bag 😁 as always awesome video and immaculate vibes ❤
I also used a friend coming to visit for the eclipse to light a fire under my ass to clean my hellhole office/guestroom xp it's much nicer in there now x)
My fave horror movie is Constantine, with Keanu.
Omg, I'm in love with the denim jacket that you're wearing in this video. The flying stars are gorgerous and it's giving Howl's moving castle vibes 😍
Hehe thank you! That’s exactly what it is! We made it in this video ⭐️ 💥✨ua-cam.com/video/ob4kIC0UnMU/v-deo.htmlsi=LzRy7UPu8K3cnXkL
Wow, that's so cool! All of the items you made turned out really pretty, you're super talented 🩵🔥✨️
omg magic timing, i was just sorting through my neglected "donate? or something??" piles this morning! and ended up pulling two pairs of pants to impulsively cut into shorts lol
horror movie rec : the cabinet of doctor calagari , its a silent german horror film . not really scary but more eery , i think about it alot lol.
It's not a movie, but hear me out: I bet you would LOVE "Channel Zero: Dream Door". It's 100% in your wheelhouse and so underrated! Otherwise, "Beyond the Black Rainbow" was truly weird horror. It's slow though so you have to be in a mood.
My fav horror movies are The Shining, The Changeling (with George C Scott), and Ghost Story.
Barbarian is really, really interesting and new, I really liked it! ^-^
I love love decluttering videos! They definitely help me stay motivated while I'm doing my own organizing. Is there any way you could get closed captions on your videos? The auto-generated captions are not accurate and I have a really hard time processing speech. Just a thought to help your subscribers who struggle with audio processing or are deaf/HoH!
Hi hi! Thank you so much for watching 💕 I have a really awesome captions editor who usually gets custom captions added a few days after the video is posted. I know it doesn’t solve the issue immediately but I hope that helps!
Thanks Kathleen: thanks to this video I actually started my dishes instead of staring at them ❤
I am also currently obsessed with the A Deadly Education series! Cannot wait to start the third book!
If I need to organize a mess, I call my sister usually in a slight to high panic! She helps me know where to start and talks me through it!!! Your orange pant set it fabulous !!!
Apologies if you've already seen these movies but
Alien
Midsommar
Hereditary
Invasion of the Pod People
Get Out
Recently found your channel & I love it! Thank you for all you do!
amazing recs!!! some of my favs
funny you would mention showing stuff to ur partner and horror movies bc ive been showing horror movies to my bf and he has not liked a single one of them and im so desperate abt it like what do you mean you didnt enjoy nope. i think you oughta go to jail actually
Straight to jail, I fear!!!!
The Thing is one of my favourite movies of all time, I'm so glad you liked it! If you like suspense thriller with very little on screen violence/gore, I'd definitely recommend The Invitation (2015). Its another one I really liked.
Kathleen coming in clutch again!
I have been cleaning all morning and needed a lunch break.
Kathleen, you inspire me with your decluttering!! Also, I'd love to recommend my absolute favourite Audiobook series of all time... Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman (narrated by Jeff Hays). It's hilarious and exciting and packed full of twists and turns, it's a litRPG but not super "stat heavy" like I've heard some others are. Anyway it's amazing!!
Shoutout to Gus starting Gideon the Ninth! Whoohoo!
Can you please show more of the after? Or what you decluttered? The before and after is the most satisfying part!🥺👉🏻👈🏻❤
The Changeling(1980)The Shining , Salem's Lot (1979), The Others, The Woman in Black, The Mist,
Autopsy of Jane Doe
Horror movies I recommend: The VVitch, The Babadook, It Follows, The Blackening (funny)
I am about to do this!!! So needed this video ❤
GIDEON THE NINTH MENTION AHHHHHHHH
AHHHHHHH
When a stranger calls (1979)
Anna and the apocalypse
The Cell
The Gift 2001 W/Cate blanchett
Frailty
Young Frankenstein
The Love Witch
Suspira
It Follows
Neon Demon
Willys Wonderland
Awesome video, honestly, these “real life” “daily task” kinds of videos are handy for when you need a body double to be productive :)
Was stain treating some handwashing while watching this, thanks for helping do laundry!🎉
Thanks for the horror movie recommendations. Please more of that ❤
I can recommend:
Animalia (2023): not a classic horror movie but with horror elements from France.
A Girl walks home alone at night (2014): vampire horror with super Soundtrack from Iran.
Lamb (2021): with the great Noomi Rapace from Island.
And my favourite "old" Horror movies are Rosemarys Baby (1968) and Eraserhead (1977).
Horror recos: Jacob’s Ladder, Pontypool, swimfan, The Cell & Invasion of the Body Snatchers
If you're enjoying Naomi Novik, I really recommend her standalone fantasy novels, "Uprooted" and "Spinning Silver." I loved them both!
Don't worry, if you're anything like me the moment you purchase a replacement for the thing you lost you will find it. I once lost my spare car key for 14mos, when I finally decided to replace it I found it a week later (in a suitcase that I swear I checked more then once!)
LOCKED TOMB!!!
But also, horror movies : The Babadook ( you will love this if you haven't seen it) and It Follows which is bit more gory but I also still think about it and how creepy it is.
this is giving very much romanticize your life and i love it
A few interesting horror movies: umma (starring sandra oh), the call (korean), the mimic (2017)
You're such a queen. I've started to see 'nasty nautical' in ads, per your 2024/2025 predictions. Of course I prefer to thrift my knots and bivalves.
For horror films, I definitely recommend anything by Elijah Wood's horror film company SpectreVision! Daniel isn't Real is one of my favorite.
Suspense film recommendation: Shallow Grave (1994). I'm a new fan, I love your channel. :-}
Hey friend, looks like you got some humanness going on. Sending hugs n grace. I try to do little bits often, but mostly we’re all out here doing our bestest. ❤
Oh my gosh you’re sweeeeet! Thank you!
You’re so great! Thank you for sharing your creativity here! ❤
@kathleenillustrated
Demon 2015 is beautiful. It’s about a dybbuk and is set in Poland.
Autopsy of Jane doe 2016 is tinsy bit gorey but not too bad but the story is soooooo good
And phantasm 1979 is just ridiculous and fun sci-fi horror
For something different, try a supernatural comedy horror - 'The Frighteners' by Peter Jackson is an oldie (1995) but it's excellent and very underrated!
I highly recommend It Follows (2014) for an interesting horror movie! Also the original Candyman if you haven't seen it.
I love that you love Louie Zong! With his immense discography you're always bound to find something that fits your mood ヽ(>∀
We have just done the office and the utility and man it was overwhelming but still so refreshing at the same time. I have to do the bedroom now. Moving on this will give me inspiration I hope!!
I think you would like Fido or Curdled
I wasn’t that into Late Night With The Devil or Immaculate. I liked Abigail though. That’s more comedy than horror though, but it was fun.
The Thing movie is one of my favorites! 😍 😍 I watched a movie on Amazon Prime video called The Void. Low budget but pretty good, cult lore and thing insprired! Hope you give it a watch 😊
I'm moving in a few months and I've gotta declutter (-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩___-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)
Everything sold so quickly. Are you sure you want to keep everything you have? lol.
Horror rec: It Follows is a masterclass in quietly building tension. Such a good movie.
I organize by piling, which drives my friend nuts. He just grabs stuff and puts it away. He thinks piling doubles the work, which I guess is kind of true.
Try susperia!!! I think you'd really like it astheticlly very 70s witchy vibes and not gory ❤
Post Covid nail girlie in your chat, woot woot! Wish I could post my current manicure with matching thrift shirt in the background, it’s so lovely!
Dam karma is real. I don’t even watch the show but seen big ass red flags from day 1. Biggest one….his family members after ten yrs, yup sugar mama. Kris is a control freak. The absolute epitome of one.
Love decluttering videos, so satisfying hehe 🩵 ( ✧Д✧)
I always wonder how much you're having to exercise Kashi off camera bc it's a herding dog and it's always snoozing so peacefully
I just spent my birthday alone in the dark watching all the insidious movies for the first time, liked them except the last one, that one sucked, not many monsters, loved number 4, lin shayes great and her house is my dream home in the movie 😂😂 birthday well spent, been realising lately that I love being by myself at home, I just, people drain me and I havnt met a gem of a person since high school, shocking to think that I finished high school nearly 10 years ago. I loved saw movies (except the last 3) which is why I moved onto insidious. Saw is gory but the story is amazing. 😂
