Thanks for putting the map of where you travelled so far! I really enjoy seeing where you are, and usually pause the video to go to Google Maps. Now I won't need to. I'm really glad that you're on your way. So happy for you both.
Thank you so much for this. As a lone traveller to actually see all the process has gone a long way to reducing any stress I thought I might experience.
One of the greatest feelings, rolling off of the train knowing all the checks are done 'our side' and the adventure begins. I'm on my way home next week, my current 90 days are up 😟! Then I'll be counting down until I leave again. Enjoy your epic adventure and I've got your videos to get me through until my next one, although not as grand as yours, safe travelling guys 😉👍🏻
Great start to your epic journey glad all going well gonna miss you guys inly met once feels like we known u a life time much love to you both and rory sends his love to coops tc n have a epic time 👍💙❤💙❤💙
John, Mandy, Coops.....watching with interest and enjoying your current trip around Europe. Hoping for early retirement in the next 3-4 years once the kids are sorted and it will be similar adventures for us both, thinking about six week stints. Maybe follow the cycling Grand Tours so Italy in May, France in July and Spain in September.....all for the future. Anyway, stay safe and continue to have fun.
Hope you are having a great time. Interesting about your passports not being stamped. We took the car over to France via the Eurotunnel on the 11th September and both our passports were stamped at the French border control. We then came back to the UK on the 26th September and again they were stamped clearly showing how many days we had been in France. I would keep your outbound ticket to prove if you are challenged in the future!! Happy travels
Very exciting start to the journey. Very respectful that you visited the war museum, music and video was very fitting. Can’t wait for the next episode.
Have a FANTASTIC time guys (that’s the whole gang). Looking forward to watching all your videos. Gives me confidence that I’ll be resuming my F1 European trips next year. Take care and enjoy!!
So pleased you arrived into France with no problems, lovely park up near the canal with your friends. Coop s enjoying himself. Happy food shopping. Pleased Coops vet visit went well. A moving look around Dunkirk s museum x safe travels x

I have just started following your channel and look att your videos now and then... but this trip I will follow. Interesting to listen how British people experience Scandinavia (I'm från Sweden). And VERY interesting to see how it works with the tunnel. I'm thinking of going the opposite way and visit UK.
hey. here from Camper Vibe. (having caught up with them i needed something else to watch. Lol. May go and see some older vids and work through if i have the time and there arent too many
Glad all Cooper's paperwork is OK and you are good to go! Have a lovely time! I shall enjoy following your travels! Sending huge hugs!! I really miss France! We haven't been since 2019!!
Total respect love your life style i am 53 and hoping to live a stress free life away from my stress of work so i am hoping to retire earlier than planned and hope to get a motorhome. I know its not all roses how you live but the main thing is your happy total respect guys keep the great videos coming
We didn't have our passports stamped either going out from the UK. When coming back in we got pulled over and had to wait until they found records of our going into France. Passports were then stamped with exit from schengen and also hand written date of entry.
Great video, brilliant production and excellent music. Look forward to the entire series. Makes me envious watching you set off. I lived in Belgium for many years and I’ve done that channel tunnel journey 76 times over the years heading back to hone in Scotland. Safe travels.
Hi John and Mandy really enjoyed watching your video really really looking forward to seeing the trip and looking forward to Seeing your next video keep safe 😷👍🏻
I was an Officer of the Crown, employed by the Parliament and the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, attached to the super secretive Australian Department of Defence and I went on a Cruise in the South Pacific. One of My stops was Nouméa in the French territory of New Caledonia. When disembarking from the Cruise ship, My Australian Passport (I have British, Irish and Australian Passports) was stamped by French Authorities. Upon My Return to Australia I was visited at work (in a Secure Restricted Area) by members of an Australia’s Security Service to ascertain why it had been necessary for Me to visit the sovereign territory of a Foreign Nation and remain there for less than 8 Hours. Simple enough answer you might say, but the security interview with these Officers took longer to conduct than My entire stay in Nouméa.
Woooooh Convoy Expedition on the move ....so happy for everyone that traveling from Uk to France incl Cooper's papers etc... went well....travel safe and keep well plus keep on posting vlogs even little snippets is good looking forward to the scenery on your travels as I enjoy living vicariously thru others travels atm cos Aus is in lockdown... all good cheers Debz from Oz XXX
Glad all okay. My husband this morning said we’re turning in to you two…Burstner motorhome 590, fire stick, cctv (dog cam) WiFi, ridge monkey….we know that you have done research and buy quality! Did Mandy used to have a step in loo (or did I dream it) ours in on two levels and a bit awkward. Enjoy your travels and keep safe 🤩
Haha.. that sounds good to me 😁 we did have a step in the toilet as it was far too high for my little legs 😂 well remembered.. it’s this one - amzn.to/39nwSgc Thank you ❤️
So excited to follow you all. My virtual trip, until we can go ourselves. Love the blissed out grins as you first drive through france!!!!! Love the music too- who is it?
Hey. Planning on leaving for a 2 month trip to Sardinia via France on the 7th Oct. I was wondering whether all you needed was your double jab proof and french declaration to enter? I read online that you also needed to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR or antigen test taken within 48 hours of entry. Is this correct? Cheers
Hey cooper, I'm Teddy a 3yr old Pug. My dad wants to know if there was a queue of Lorries etc before you get to the entrance area. P.s I'm known as Mops in europe rather than a Pug, how degrading 😪 hope you're enjoying you travels Cooper 🐶🙌
Hi guys really interesting video, I'm out in France and our passports were stamped! . Also I visited a vets in Calais they transferred my UK passport details into the French one as I've 2 years left on my dogs booster. Looks like different vets are doing different ways! Not to worry though at least we all have managed to get one. Enjoy your travels x
Watching you guys with great interest, we're in France and just asked at the vet in Pornic about a French Pet Passport. They wanted to give Stanley the dog a French microchip to register him as being French, they were prepared to overlook the fact that we were not resident here for a minimum of 3 months. We didn't even go into the fact that he only had a rabies booster in Feb 2021 in England. We are sailing back to UK from St Malo on 15th October so will look to getting one there when he has his worm treatment. May I ask if anyone has recommendation of a suitable vet there. Crack on guys always look forward to your posts xxx
Thanks for recording Passport Control and the Pet Side on the Chunnel, looked very straightforward. I understand that the Rabies info can't be transferred over to the French passport. Our dogo 🐾🐾 can't have his booster for 2 more years so I hope his titre test certificate will be enough.we will speak to the Portuguese vet next year. Great Start to your Adventure Guys
@John & Mandy safe travels by the way. We're watching intently as we always have. I retire (young) next year & our plan is to travel with our Betty Burstner & the dogs. The pet passport procedure in Dunkerque reassured us about the simplicity of getting an EU pet passport. So much cheaper there too. Enjoy the ride guys & a big shout out from Ramsgate!
Exciting times guys. We came back in March and I'm looking forward to getting back to Portugal. We've never been on the tunnel before look's cool 😃. I would of thought your stamp is in the micro chip like before . We Were stamped in Spain when we came back . I was gutted because we're residents of Portugal so didn't think they would. Enjoy your travels looking for to your videos it's going to be a good learning curb 😀
It's the loss of freedom of movement, as in your Portuguese etc. residence permit only allows you to spend the same 90 days in other Schengen countries as the other third country nationals have, as I am sure you know. Freedom of movement is only for EU citizens.
Nice when it all goes smoothly 😃That parkup looks good. I like that little photo producing gadget John, off to the web site to see if you have put it on.
Hi John and Mandy, I’m glad all is well with your epic trip, exciting times. Just wondering if the toll road auto payment device is working okay and which one is it? We are going to spain for 3 weeks soon.
Great Vlog guys👍 thanks for some valuable information on getting cooper across on the Eurotunnel and obtaining an EU pet passport in Dunkerque🐶👍 Happy Travels 🚐😄
Glad all is going well. The only problem we have had so far is Switzerland not accepting our NHS Covid passes at restaurants and bars. They are not recognised when scanned. Checking on line it seems very common. There seems to be two lines of thought. Some are saying they are not accepting any Covid passes from outside the EU (which seems crazy as they are not in the EU themselves) and some are saying it does not recognise the Astra Zeneca jabs which rules both of us out! So you can enter Switzerland but not eat out. Good job we’re in a camper with cooking facilities. If you fly in you’re stuck unless you want to get a PCR test every 48 hours!
We made the mistake in France of showing the QR code for the first jab rather than the second one which worked each time but there’s been reports of some French not accepting it. Hopefully it won’t be too big a deal and won’t have to cook too much 😂
@@johnmandy can’t say we’ve had a problem in France, Belgium or Italy except when the QR code was stretched on the phone and a bit out of focus. We tried it all in Geneva even a PCR test QR code we had done in France for entering Italy but they sussed those ones as over 48hrs old on their reader dam it. 😂. All part of the journey. Take care 👍🏻
Thanks 👍🏻 There’s a link in the video description that explains all about the video production and includes the music service & gear we have to make our videos 😎
Apologies if this has been asked already (I couldn't be arsed scrolling through all the comments:-)), what, if any, checks were made crossing into France, with regards to covid tests etc? I really resent lining someone's pocket for a test if it's not necessary. We're both double jabbed, did they ask for any confirmation regarding this? Thanks.
As a French man, i found Mandy's accent vert lovely when she says "Merci". You should try not to pronounce the n at the end of "très bien" and you will be perfect ;-)
If you are going towards Lyon, look for the N95 Napolenic Route - its a series of twisting bends in the mountainside - but if you must you can do it after 10 at night - its doable. Then you end up in a place called Antibes. I watched a vodep ca;led Harrys Garage - is a long way but well worth doing. I think you would enjoy it
Glad your first day went well. Another place on the must do is Lake Grimaud, its right down near St Tropez, if you look at the Slaws Adventures, they are doing that now
Hi Great video and explanation about the new pet travel passport system - Question Now that Cooper has a French passport do you still need to do all the other paperwork the next time you leave the UK? and what will need to be done when returning to the UK on this trip?
Apparently returning to the uk is the same as when our British passport was valid - wormer 24 hours to 5 days before return and getting back out should be no AHC at all as the passport takes its place - we just have to have coops rabies boosters administered in the EU. We’ll know for sure once we’ve returned and come back out again 😁👍🏻
@@johnmandy Thanks - I don't understand why the booster needs to be done in the EU an injection could be done by any appropriate vet surly. Have a great tip - keep the video's coming and stay safe.
Hi John and Mandy, I was in at a French vet yesterday and she said I needed a French address to get the Passport, did you have to give a French address?
We didn’t need one at all, I am hearing that the vets in France, just as in England are doing things slightly differently. Have a look around as I’m hearing more good things than bad 😁

Ah I nearly did that as they’re my favourite but that Auchan was absolutely packed! Maybe when we are there again next year 😁👍🏻
Coops and all the other doggies were so well behaved too
They are both very good indeed.. perfect little chaps 😁❤️
Lovely guys so jealous have a lovely time
Thanks John 😁
Beautiful video and beautiful music! ☺
Thank you 😁❤️
@@johnmandy Reading MANY of the comments; others feel the same. -Bon voyage! ☺
Thanks.
Literally every question we were asked is in the video so you can see who asked which question when 😁👍🏻
@@johnmandy cheers, suppose I should have watched it all the way through 🤣, which I will now do by the way
As a French man, i found Mandy's accent vert lovely when she says "Merci". You should try not to pronounce the n at the end of "très bien" and you will be perfect ;-)
Ah that’s fab, thank you 😁❤️❤️
I didn’t think my passport had been stamped either, but the French did it at Folkestone! Apart from that, my experience was exactly as yours was
Greg & Lou had their passports stamped, so who knows if the stamp is significant or not, I guess we'll find out soon 🤣
Another place on the must do is Lake Grimaud, its right down near St Tropez, if you look at the Slaws Adventures, they are doing that now
So jealous...... But I'm having a great time following along as all ways.
Thanks Rog.. hope you’re well 😁
Hi Great video and explanation about the new pet travel passport system - Question Now that Cooper has a French passport do you still need to do all the other paperwork the next time you leave the UK? and what will need to be done when returning to the UK on this trip?
Apparently returning to the uk is the same as when our British passport was valid - wormer 24 hours to 5 days before return and getting back out should be no AHC at all as the passport takes its place - we just have to have coops rabies boosters administered in the EU. We’ll know for sure once we’ve returned and come back out again 😁👍🏻
@@johnmandy Thanks - I don't understand why the booster needs to be done in the EU an injection could be done by any appropriate vet surly. Have a great tip - keep the video's coming and stay safe.
@@djm0018 Its because we’re down as a third country so technically not good enough so it has the be an EU vet..
thanks for watching ❤️
Hi John and Mandy, I was in at a French vet yesterday and she said I needed a French address to get the Passport, did you have to give a French address?
We didn’t need one at all, I am hearing that the vets in France, just as in England are doing things slightly differently. Have a look around as I’m hearing more good things than bad 😁
Bienvenue en France! Rv à deuzzzze heures, pronunciation 🤗
Thank you 😁❤️
