The Sims 4 Discover University is within arms reach of launching now, and Alice is hoping that it’ll make the Sims 4 a better game, as she has very fond memories of the ways the previous university expansions improved The Sims 4. However, a lot of players can’t afford the new expansion packs at release, but still want something new to add to their gameplay, which is why Alice has gone through and found 7 mods to make the Sims 4 a better game. Quality of life improvements, if you will. These are The Sims 4 best mods.
Starting off with Deaderpool’s MC Command Center (or MCCC as it’s often referred to), Alice takes you through some of the basic things it can do to alter your game. Allows you to have Sims 4 cheats always on, offers some fun ways to kill sims really easily, and also helps you trigger an alien abduction, it also gives you the option to auto-save your game, which can be an absolute life saver for when the Sims 4 crashes. Inevitably. The Slice of Life mod fills in the empty promises laid about EA, and makes your sims lives way more dynamic. Bringing back a sims memory system and also a sims preferences system, like we had once way back in Sims 2. Truly, one of the best Sims mods.
The Sims 4 wants you to create varied sims with different personalities, but offers limited traits, so Alice flags a pretty full and exciting sims trait bundle, which should help with making your sims incredibly different each time. There’s also the Sims 4 UI extender, which… extends the UI. Free money in the sims and cheating those sims needs has never been easier.
Have Some Personality Please and Meaningful Stories pretty much do what they say on the tin. no more are they chatting about absolutely mundane things for hours on end, and no more are sims over their loved ones deaths in 10 seconds. Wow, the time balancing is off in the sims isn’t it? Call back to MCCC for sorting that out for us.
Finally, it’s the one everyone was asking for on the last video, is the more columns in create a sim mod: multiple CAS columns. 3, 4 or 5 to be exact. Knock yourself out! But make sure your computer can handle it first…

Lol, these are the kind of mods that should have come with the game in the first place. But thanks for outlining all of these in a very understandable way as I have never tried using them. I can see how they improve gameplay and help with shortening the time spent on it. That's my biggest gripe with the game. I am constantly forwarding through at times...especially, when Sims are "eating peas"! GREAT VIDEO!!

You just need to be sure to keep your mod folders organized so you can update ones that need it or to make it easier to find any problem/out of date mods.

I like the way the Slice of Life mod works, but can I turn off periods and attraction? I already have both through Wicked Whims and I'm more familiar with that system, plus I think it seems a bit more in depth. I don't want them creating any weird conflicts with eachother
Edit: answered my own question by reading through the mod description. You can delete invidual functions by simply opening the folder and taking out the corresponding packages (so long as you don't delete the main package). I'll leave this here though in case anyone else was wondering!

"Have some personality please" yeah pretty much sums it up. It makes me angry that EA put minimum effort into the game and then expect us to pay $50? And then with all the packs and stuff that makes $200??? Like the game is boring without any packs/mods, so you basically have to pay hundreds just for it to feel like a $20 game.
There are ways to to get the sims 4 with any purchase for free that’s what I did and I’m really happy I did

Correction: .package files can be as nested as you want, .ts4script ones have to be 1 folder deep.

CocoKoala you can put regular package files (cc) into their own folders within the Mods folder. However, with Script Mods it’s best to just drop directly into the Mods folder. Hope this makes more sense
Suggestion: If you're not aware, a modder named LittleMsSam has *a lot* of small but very interesting mods on her webpage that add different dimensions to gameplay and/or tune a lot of things to be MUCH less annoying. Well worth checking out. I have perhaps about 50 or so mods of hers in my game and they all work well. She also keeps them very updated.
I've been playings since the early 00's and I'm way into my 20's now. I have been using mods for the last few Sims updates but never really watched any UA-cam videos on the best ones as I am not really into the whole "UA-camr" thing. This year I started watching Simmer channels to see if like me others wanted more realistic mods. I came across your channel and I have to say, you are my FAVOURITE SIMMER UA-camR. You are hilarious and actually pick really good mods that I have downloaded. I don't like the Wicked Whims one, I have actually removed it from my game as it lags to fcuk, bc my game is cracked, but all the others are perfect and I applaud you for making such an entertaining but informative video on each of them.
I shall continue to watch your channel when new Sims videos are uploaded and continue to follow your advice on which are the best mods to use. I have 100's thanks to you and your video's. Merry Christmas and Happy Simming x

Is there any of these people particularly recommend for having NPC's have a more dynamic life? I swear that in sims 3 things had more consequences and if you left for a while NPC's would start relationships, have a family etc. without the player orchestrating it? I don't want to cheat the whole system or make it easier, I just miss the feeling of things happening without me initiating everything. It's hard to always have a story to go for when you just wanna see how things play out

Also, Boom Boom is correct, slug slime is sold for between 20 and 50 quid a jar, and, apparently, has excellent moisturing and anti-aging properties
For anyone wondering the Slice of Life mod has been taken off of the website for an unknown period of time for the mod to be fixed and upgraded.

Cheating mods to me feel like they are needed because the game is about roleplaying so it makes sense to give you an option for stuff for when either the game bugs out or you just think 'oh come on they just ate 3 minutes ago why are they still hungry'
exactly! I have a chef sim who got home from work and was super hungry, so I just used UI Cheats and said he ate on the job lol
@@masquerademage I had my sim blow up a rich person's car on the sims 3 to get hundreds of scrap pieces and even though it was the dead of night in the middle of a park where no one could see I STILL got fined. That's when I think cheating is justified to get the money back and pretend no one saw.
I think the key to enjoying a game while cheating is to cheat only in ways which can be justified. Or, building a floor on top of a pillar and deleting the pillar and having a floating house. Whichever one you prefer.

First video of yours I have seen. I'm only 2 minutes in and have already liked and subbed, you can tell when someone puts alot of time and effort into making a great video .
MC Command Centre is the best mod imo. It has so many useful functions, that really help you to do what you want in the game. I also use the UI cheats one too, which is very helpful when you're working at an interactive job from the Get to Work pack. My doctor sim is way too busy to even pee when she's working, so just a few clicks and her needs are all good again, without having to stop working
I think that a missing topic title on the corners made me feel a little lost throughout the video. But it is a nice video guys!

Thank you for doing these sorts of videos, because it’s hard to find and keep track of the cc creators that are on tumblr, like the person who did the kichen pack, and the cottage or garden sort of pack? I just love the more rustic sort of cc lmao I just want my sims to live in a cottage in the woods because I can’t so the cottage or garden pack made it so I can have plants on the walls of my house

I may be a bit late, but there is a way to have more subfolder layers in your Mods folder. It´s a simple edit of the resource.cfg. Not sure about adding links to the YT comments, but you should be able to find it with a Google search.

The secret to eternal happiness is to lower expectations. The more you lower expectations the happier you will become. Most unhappiness it rooted in disappointment. You are disappointed in other people, yourself, your circumstances, or the world around you. Once you no longer expect so much of everyone one and everything, you can get down to dealing with where you are. It creates a lot less argument between people. It leads to more solution finding and less problem dumping. It's a lot of work to let go of expectations but I promise will make you happier.
The talented kids mods are very good complement too, alows to the kids the use of many things taht usually have restricted or cannon interact, like the simray or even cooking

Go to your documents open electronic arts then click on the sims 4. There you will find a folder named mods. You can drag mods from your downloads into this folder and it's as simple as that.

There's a mod called ""life's a drama"" where you can be nosey and gossip around your neighborhood...but it will annoying because it will generate a bunch of random townies and they will magically appear inside your home

The mods are cool, they seem smarter and also meaner. Mortimer kept telling Bella that she is fat and they went from 100 love to hate and Bella wanted a divorce so I let them then she killed him with an axe XD (Another mod)
I love the slice of life mod, but seriously, NOT EVERYONE has acne LOL. That's the only annoying part.

The crappy thing with the More Personality mod is that my mean sim is mean to everyone. Doesn't matter if it's his wife, son, best friend. He almost screwed up everything.

I hope there comes a mod that ranks sim on the basis of their wealth so that just like in real life where billionaires compete for being the richest person in the world, here rich sims can compete for being the richest sim in the game. The ranking should list the wealth of every sim family in the game so that we can know who is the richest and who is poorest but the top 7 families should have an elite list of their own and those families should get special celebrity treatment from the other sims. So your sims can aspire to be the richest sim or atleast in the top 7 to receive the special celebrity treatment.
