Nevermind, I see on your pump you are pumping IN to the water OUT, thus cold, and you get hot water OUT from IN. That will probably work, although somewhat confusing in a tutorial. You might have issues with efficiency and emissions though, FWIW; they'd might have designed it so hot water hits hot flame, colder water hitting the colder parts of the exhaust.

That pump is on the hot water OUT side. Electric motors like to run cool. You should move it to the cold side, pumping water IN to the furnace.
