To make it clear, this works the best when you spawn, rotate watching the whole zone without moving and port back taking about 5 seconds. If you move around a lot or start doing other things like mining, this will not work since it works under the big numbers principle. If the chance of a SR den is 0.1% that means only 1 of every 1000 dens will be super rare. If you can spot like 10 dens in one try, then it will take in average of 100 tries, 500 seconds that gives an average of 8 minutes. I rounded it to 10 minutes to account for loading times or being slower. But since my personal firsthand experience with this and the math, I can't believe the comments saying "I tried this for 20 hours", specially when the video is less than two days and that would mean to have been playing for 10 hours a day doing this and only this.

Agreed, Super High Rank Dens are definitely not the way to go for farming elder dragons. (For this example we’ll say 3 minutes) Now let’s say it takes you 3 dens to get 100 bottle caps, that’s 3 minutes a den leading to 9 minutes to get 100 bottle caps. Now let’s compare this to his strategy here, he says it takes about 7 minutes to find a Super Rare HR Den, that is completely false because of how rare they are, it COULD theoretically take you 7 minutes, but you would have to be *extremely* lucky, seeing as how from what I’ve been reading in the comments because of how rare these dens are it can take hours or even days before you even see your first one, the time just fluctuates way too much to definitively say it takes about 7 minutes to find a Super Rare HR Den utilizing his method.

I've been doing this in the first region and the alcala region since I learned about SR dens, and in my experience your 0.1% chance it about right. It normally takes me around 1,000 den spawns to see one on average. I've gone as few as 500 or so and as many as 3,000, but I average around 1,000.
I found my first super rare den while I wasn't looking for it 😅 was hoping to get Nargacuga but got an Elder dragon egg and kept it. Had I known that Kirin can be found anywhere I would have dropped it. On my first SR co-op in the Jungle (which I tried before I found the SR den on my own) i got another elder egg that had Teostra.
Goddamn dude, I have reset Terga hundreds of times while farming Nergi and never saw a SR den, but I saw this and tried it while flying and found one after three tries.
I’ve tried farming for these before and it’s taken literal hours before I’ve found *one* while I can go through say 3 Bronze Dens utilizing a Nargacuga and finish those in on average about 3 minutes each, honestly this method you propose seems pretty bad when compared to just doing the Broze Dens to collect bottle caps to get SR tickets, heck you don’t even need a super endgame monster, you could literally use a lvl 1 Nargacuga to quickly get though the den to get the chests then leave, rinse and repeat until you have enough to purchase a SR ticket. And you say in the video utilizing your method you can find a Super Rare HR Den in about 10 minutes yea……there’s no way.
it's all rng. I've found them back to back, then none for an hour or so. I have noticed while farming they spawn more often in Hakolo and Ancala which is good for Silverwind Nargacuga, Grimclaw Tigrex, Kushala and Rajang
I just spent 7 and a half hours doing exactly this trying to find a super rare den in terga. That nergi I used to want can go off himself now. Im just gonna do SR co-op quests
this method is far slower than using nest search + map, exception is alcala. (Terga is also fine, but theres 2 spots that can spawn den behind the rock and if you don't want to move and reset fast, you have to go for nest strat)
Thing is this is chance based and you can go hours without seeing one. I agree with the comments that say that farming bottlecaps from the co-op missions is just more reliable, and you have a decent chance at getting SR tickets from blue chests as well. I'll take consistency over chance any day. Plus, I can farm for specific genes in the process.
it happened to me too, every time i slayed and elder dragon form the post game, i didnt need to wait long, got a kushala, a kirin and a thunderlord... i thought it was because the elder dragons postgame
Why go in and out of the co-op menu like that? You can press down on R3 to refresh. Makes it much easier to sit there and refresh til you find one to add yourself to.
Now when you finally found one (can confirm I did this for an hour straight a couple times and never found one, doesnt seem like 8 minutes average), walk or fly to a catavan stand, save, then enter the den. If the egg you get is not to your liking, savescum and repeat.
that's really lucky to even get a SR ticket in the SR dens, but even if you ignore that you still get a surplus of caps like 20 to maybe thirty + the ten normally included.

The very worst thing is the white one in the snow regions... wth I feel very bad for the color blind in this game. A lot of features are tied to color.
@@caoslayer Unfortunately the color issues not only apply to the Dens, but just _all_ assets _in general._ (And it's starting to get really frustrating lmao) The most prominent problem is visible within the egg colorations, where there are many, _many_ pairs of different eggs that have almost identical colorings - Kush/Nerg, P.Ludroth/Mizu, G.Narg/Rathian, and so on. The problem multiplies tenfold when you realize the majority of these pairs share _the same locale._ In cases of Den, the Golden Dens in volcanic regions are almost indiscernible from HR Den due to the lightings of lava rendering both yellow. *And then there are the Konchus fucking **_camouflaged_** in their respective caverns*
I know a way to get bottle caps get 8 bottle caps fight hellblade/bolt reaver and you gain more bottle caps but you can only do this after you beat the game and it will take like 10-30 mins
TBH I think doing coop dens si a lot better, buy a few n tickets for 8 and u get about 20-30 back plus u still can find good genes since it's a high rank den. Rather that than looking for a den that has only a .1% chance of spawning
My personal experience is that SR dens themselves take a lot of time unless you are lvl70, add to that the time to farm bottlecaps in rare dens, you need about three rares to gather the caps. The main thing of this is that you can gather elders just after clearing the game without having to assemble a group. Or being able to do it in the couch. One doesn't invalidates the other
With less than a 0,1% chance, the only way to find one is to explicitily do something like this of looking and reseting and still can take hundred of respawns.
Actually that's basically physically impossible. 30 days x 16 hours each day is 480 hours. So you've been playing over 16 hours a day flat out non-stop for the past month? Even if you don't have a job/school that is incredibly unhealthy- literally living and breathing it.
I don't know in Alaca i should check high land or not and we have limited view range make even worse at Alaca. With Terga we have den near desert seltas queen is hard to check
You don’t need a super rare dungeon to get molten tigrex, hell blade glav, or dreadking rath. (Lamure for molten, rare den) (outside of Nua te for hell blade, rare den) (kamuna for dreadking, rare den) these are all the ones I’ve been able to do so far but I’ll make another when I find more. Also these are not rare high rank dens these are rare low rank dens after you beat the game
Jeez, you’re unbelievably lucky. I spent over 10 hours refreshing terga with no luck (Edit) wait you can find Teostra in hakolo and Velkhana in Terga? I thought Teostra was in Terga, and Velkhana in Loloska
I brute forced velkhana this way using popo: ua-cam.com/video/cDx5OECvbP0/v-deo.html All about surviving until it gets into the loop of tail -> tech tech
Wouldn't Nest Search help with searching Super Rares on the snow biome since it ignores the terrain? Or the range still a bigger detriment than flying?
I don't think Nest Search distinguishes common, rare or super rare nests on the minimap. So far I just fly down from the Glacial Peaks travel point while keeping an eye on the ground. I wish we had a button to free look in this game without altering our flight trajectory.
@@Nesetera yeah theres a youtuber who was just in hakolo and particularly start island in the northern part and he found one by nest search and was entirely shocked. lol, did so by map, i used this method to test my luck in terga. didnt work well tho. ;/

Once you beat the game and can do high rank stuff they should show up. I found one by a stoke of luck and got Thunderlord before i even did the pink Rathian quest that leads into the deviants.
How fast you were with each try? The trick is rotating fast and repeating in a few seconds and doing over and over. Is more about quantity than quality.
@@caoslayer I definitely wasn’t that efficient.😅 But you are right, quantity is the key here. I heard those dens only have a 0,1% chance. I prefer to farm for Talismans at the same time and fly to the 2 spawnpoints that have 3 ores in Terga before I reload.
@@ramigilneas9274 fly up, look , nothin, travel and again. Spam and repeat, honestly i just spam normal/rare expeditions for tons of bottle caps and that easily makes up for my shitty luck because im getting at least 20-30 caps guaranteed maybe little less like 15-25.
I have like 40 hours in post game and I still have not seen a super rare den lmao Are you supposed to trigger these or is it literally any time after starting HR?
Yeah the video said an AVERAGE of 7 minutes and I was like there's no way. If it were that easy everyone would just reset for 15 min and grind out sr dens. But no, the game has expeditions for a reason.
@@John-ii6he Yea, I spent 5 hours searching for a Super HR den and just ended up giving up and going to farm more bottle caps, it’s just not worth it when compared to speeding through 2 or 3 bronze Dens with say a Nargacuga.
Just no. Please do not listen to this. You are better off doing SR expeditions, this is just infinitely slower in every way. Bottle caps aren’t an issue end game at all. All you have to do is run normal or rare expeditions doing it locally and collect bottle caps from the chests which you can easily get 20+ per run. If you don’t wanna use expedition tickets you can just do the elder or deviant slay multiplayer quests but do local. Trying to get a super rare den to spawn is just so much slower than it is to just quickly farm a 100 bottlecaps. Honestly worst advice i’ve seen for this game.
Let's say that you are getting between 25 and 30 caps per journey. This means you need to do four runs. Since you are opening every chest and going around all the map, it should take at least 10 minutes per run if your character is around level 50 and also taking the eggs. That is for just getting a golden ticket.. you then need to clear the SR den. That is a lot of time. Even if you cut the times to half of this, it would still take 25 minutes. Doing SR Expeditions is better if you have the endgame builds, enough bottles or can find a SR Expedition online.
@@caoslayer You can literally use a Nargacuga to skip every fight in the Den, and on another note you don’t even have to finish the boss at the end of the den, once you’ve gotten all chests you can just leave and start up a new one if you don’t get enough bottle caps to purchase a SR ticket, it’s much faster and your Guaranteed to get at least one SR ticket out of it where with farming for Super HR Dens your not even guaranteed to get one because of how low the spawn rates are for them. On top of that you say it takes 7 minutes using your method to find a SR HR den, well utilizing a Nargacuga you can finish a bronze den in 3 or even 2 minutes just gathering the chests and leaving, thus making that method better because your literally guaranteed to get the 100 bottle caps needed to purchase an SR ticket, unlike searching for Super HR Dens where you could literally sit for hours and never find one because their so rare. Also, you say it takes 10 minutes per run when farming for bottle caps, that is false because utilizing a Nargacuga and just collecting the chests then leaving only takes about 2 to 3 minutes so…….how are you even coming to the conclusion that it takes 10 minutes per run?. I could see it taking 10 minutes or more if your literally fighting everything you come across AND fighting the final monster at the end, but if your farming for bottle caps your not going to do any of those things, your whole objective is to get in, collect the chests as quickly as possible while avoiding every encounter because it waists time when doing a bottle cap farming run, and get out so you can load up another one if you didn’t get enough bottle caps that run. So let’s say hypothetically you have to do say 3 Bronze Den runs to get 100 bottle caps, and say your utilizing a Nargacuga since your only objective is to get the chests, and let’s say you avoid all combat and successfully collect every chest, on average it *should* realistically take you about 2 to 3 minutes per run (for the sake of this example we’ll say 3 because maybe you gathered some stuff along the way) so that’s 3 runs to get 100 bottle caps all 3 runs taking 3 minutes each, that’s 9 minutes, in 9 minutes your able to collect 100 bottle caps unlike the Super High Rank Dens that you say can be found in 7 minutes, that’s incorrect because of how rare they are, you could literally be sitting for hours and never find one, even utilizing your method here. And you talk about picking up eggs……who in their right mind would pick up the eggs in a Bronze Den when their main objective is to farm bottle caps, it just waists time and the monsties you get from it aren’t worth it, honestly man I don’t think you know what your talking about at all.
@@caoslayer If you are farming for bottlecaps how in the world do you come to the conclusion of 10 minutes per run? If im just starting normal expeditions there is literally no reason to pick up the eggs since the whole point would be farming the bottlecaps not the eggs, especially when the eggs would be trash. Even the elder and deviant online quests will give the same amount of caps without needing to use a ticket. At most it’ll take you a few minutes per bottlecap run, no way its gonna take 10 per run when your only goal is caps there. Loot all chests, return, and repeat. Also doesnt seem like you can really do math either.
Well... Now I feel stupid since I have seen superrares but I thought they were worse than the golden ones because, well, they are silver, so I just went into the rare ones

@@caoslayer he doesn’t literally mean he’s hunting monsters man…..and even IF he’s doing your method here it can still take hours before you even find a Super HR den because of how low their spawn rates are.
It worked thx very much for creating this video, it’s my first super rare den
Nowadays after all the dlc, you get a lot of event quests for getting your rare monsties.
It must take iron will to ignore those golden den tho....
Nah, cuz when you go digging in a Diamond one, you really forget about them lok
you get numb to the sight of golden dens eventually :C
@@danielwoo1591 This. Plus after messing around SR Co-OP Dens in Multiplayer, it's kinda hard to go back lol
I still go for gold dens if there's a monstie that they can give that I might need genes from.
@@ForestofCicadas I usually only farm for the SRHR dens when it's late so I don't have the energy to put towards anything besides the SRHR dens

yay!
so far i've only gotten a thunderlord zinogre
I actually got one with this method in torgan volcanic base, took 16 min because i also went in rare den but that still insanely fast! Thanks
Goddamn dude, I have reset Terga hundreds of times while farming Nergi and never saw a SR den, but I saw this and tried it while flying and found one after three tries.
Fun thing, nergi is a regular hr spawn unlike all other elders. I got mines from subquest dens.
@@caoslayer Yeah I know, I was farming Nergi from the rare dens and hoping to find a SR den in the process
Unfortunately, for switch emulator players, and those who play the pirated version if the day comes, this is the only way to get deviants and elders.
I casually get 3 hellblades, a gold rathian, soulseer, and molten from…normal rare dens.
This is fine if you play it in PC, but switch with those loading times are better off just farm bottle caps
Switch loading sucks that bad?
The drawing distance interferes?
@@caoslayer Loadings are longer but tolerable.
Draw distance may not be optimal but you can distinguish sr dens from the other in a decent distance
Can you play the expedition offline sir ?
I found a bunch immediately after I beat the game!
when you say beat the game, do you mean Oltura or Fatalis?
@@PastorMustard the story so Oltura, since I have yet to see another pop up! Maybe the spawn rate is slightly boosted immediately after the storyline!
it happened to me too, every time i slayed and elder dragon form the post game, i didnt need to wait long, got a kushala, a kirin and a thunderlord... i thought it was because the elder dragons postgame
This method helped alot. It helped me find my first sr den
Why go in and out of the co-op menu like that? You can press down on R3 to refresh. Makes it much easier to sit there and refresh til you find one to add yourself to.
Don't mind it, I host almost all the time and was not used to searching.

Agreed.
Just so you know you don't need to be online to do "online" quest just turn off airplane mode (if you're on Switch)
This has never worked for me and at this point usually sr ticket dens give me 1 or 2 more sr tickets wich pays itself.

_Seriously, who the bloody F was in charge of coloring the assets?_
The very worst thing is the white one in the snow regions... wth
I feel very bad for the color blind in this game. A lot of features are tied to color.
@@caoslayer Unfortunately the color issues not only apply to the Dens, but just _all_ assets _in general._ (And it's starting to get really frustrating lmao)
The most prominent problem is visible within the egg colorations, where there are many, _many_ pairs of different eggs that have almost identical colorings - Kush/Nerg, P.Ludroth/Mizu, G.Narg/Rathian, and so on. The problem multiplies tenfold when you realize the majority of these pairs share _the same locale._
In cases of Den, the Golden Dens in volcanic regions are almost indiscernible from HR Den due to the lightings of lava rendering both yellow.
*And then there are the Konchus fucking **_camouflaged_** in their respective caverns*
I am
have been spinnin around in Terga for almost 3 hours and not a single super rare den to find
They introduced dlc quests where you can find rare monsters more easily.
One doesn't invalidates the other
I have only found 2 SR dens ever in my (wait for it) 739 hours of playtime
Where in Terga are you searching that it takes so fast?
Why are you backing out of the co-op quest list and reopening it? Just click the right stick…
i did this for ten minutes and found one, great method 👍👍
I've never spot a super rare den in my 500 hours of play. Imust be super unlucky haha.
With less than a 0,1% chance, the only way to find one is to explicitily do something like this of looking and reseting and still can take hundred of respawns.
I see. Thats not so reccomended then. ^^; guess the online option its the most reasonable one then.
How have you played 500 hours in a month, that's fucked up man
@@seahawk1579 thats nothing compare to the 1000 of those who got the game early xD
Actually that's basically physically impossible. 30 days x 16 hours each day is 480 hours. So you've been playing over 16 hours a day flat out non-stop for the past month? Even if you don't have a job/school that is incredibly unhealthy- literally living and breathing it.
actually works just got 3 sr dens in less than 30 minutes tyty
After guess how many resets I got an SR den?
One. ONE RESET. Also the closest possible den to me.
I don't know in Alaca i should check high land or not and we have limited view range make even worse at Alaca. With Terga we have den near desert seltas queen is hard to check
I might be just lucky but out my 150hrs playtime (including the story) i have encountered 5 Super rare dens and i have screen shoot of then each time
which fast travel do you use in the desert?
I don't like it there because the area is huge, but should be the research lab
do i have to beat the deviant and elder dragon side quest to get this?
Do you need Nintendo online to do co-op quests
I can't answer that myself, I play on pc.
Ok you can find them in rare high ranks as well
NGL with all the updates this is no longer too useful right now.
I got 3 super rare dens very fast and haven't seen any since. They aren't limited right? I can farm them as much as I want?

Wouldn't Nest Search help with searching Super Rares on the snow biome since it ignores the terrain? Or the range still a bigger detriment than flying?
It forces you to hover all the nests so you spend a lot of time and the range is not awesome.
I don't think Nest Search distinguishes common, rare or super rare nests on the minimap. So far I just fly down from the Glacial Peaks travel point while keeping an eye on the ground.

Yea, I’ve only ever found 2 definitely not worth it for how abysmal the spawn rates are for them.

for me it was four before giving up.
Also for the best method are the SR expeditions and the farming of bottle caps ... off line 8 hours zero SRD.
