I got mine off eBay for $479 it arrived the other day. I also bought a Atem battery box for $130 again off eBay. The battery fits in the box perfectly with room at the end to mount a shunt and a Victron 100/30. So if you're looking for a battery box Atem is a good fit.

If you connect a battery monitor you shouldn’t have any worries. For example You could have the battery monitor set off an alarm to warn you when capacity gets to 20%. Gonna be my plan. Glad the video helped in someway and thanks for watching 👍🍻
Nice battery! Shame about the low voltage cut off. I imagine there are modules from aliexpress that will cut out the battery at low and high voltages. I wonder if one can get it with temperature cut off too? Will have a look around. I am so confident in your reviews Dino that I always click like before watching the video.

As for the low voltage cutoff issue with the Gentrax battery, you're right that there are likely modules available on AliExpress or similar sites. The reason the small form factor and price is because the cells are pouch cells instead of the normal prismatic lifep04 cells. It still seems like a very good battery for the price. Thanks for the great video as always.
You're right, prices for lithium batteries, especially Lithium ,have been gradually decreasing, making them more accessible for a wider range of applications. It's always a good idea to shop around and compare prices from different sources to find the best deal. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

I've been capacity test batteries for over a decade! I don't bother anymore because they very rarely don't make capacity these days!

I don't need to pull it apart now. I have had Outbax and another distributor contact me! They are as I suspect pouch cells! I suspect as such being the battery size and lower end cycle count. Not a deal breaker but I was hoping to get prismatic cells out for another project. Will just use it as an upgrade to another battery box.
At 5..8v does the BMs actually cut out with a load on the battery?? I just ordered one of these for under $500, what a bargain.. Swapping out the 130ah lithium in the caravan, 130ah will go in the ute to replace the old agm and the 200ah will now go in the caravan.. Hope I get a good run out of the Gentrax Battery.. I dunno i didnt try .. only had the tester set for 7.5 volt cutout. Just make sure you use a monitor so you can keep track of how much power you have .. have your alarm on shunt set for 20% so you drain too much out of battery.. thanks for your comment and thanks for watching 👍🍻

Not sure why you never used a temperature heat gun on the battery terminals, like we saw the Kings 200ah terminal was overheating, when pulled apart the terminal was not tight, please try and check everything
Paid $499 through Catch for this battery. Price has gone up since then so must have been on some promotional deal. Very happy with the battery performance . My two plate westinghouse induction stove works fine in the van from this battery through a 2500 watt inverter.Thanks for the video. Great stuff.

What's the downside to pouch are they less robust say for going on corrugated roads?
I think, prices are coming down so that 200AH is around 500$ at world wide, but yet to been seen on eBay as general price.

The eBay spec say saying 200A continuous. That battery boast looks like it's only got 100A wire or less.

Gentrax 200ah max discharge current is 100a give you 1200w power output. Over load is dangerous, damage bms and heating cable and connectors
The so-called BMS didnt cut out !??- worrying ?
