Indeed, such a variety of nature here too! I couldn't believe the vast difference between the top and bottom of Mount Ruapehu! Lush green at the bottom. Lava rocks and no greenery at the top! And that can be experienced at multiple places in NZ!!! 💜💜💜
Indeed, it was! But totally worth it (though I might not have said that by hour 4....). Thanks so much! Been learning a lot from the coaching I've been doing. Interesting how that works, aye? 💜
@@dgrant2467 haha, noted. I would love to do more organised hikes. I’m hoping once I finish the last touches on my course, I will have more time to put back into the channel to produce more regularly and interact. 💜
That was a great hike with nice weather and astonishing views! Especially seeing glaciers, glacier lakes and even avalanches in just one hike was so cool! You have go long ways to find that in the European alps. And as usual in NZ you meet nice people along the way, which makes makes it even more enjoyable. 11/10 would so it again! Thanks for showing the beautiful views and telling how it was!
The avalanche was definitely the coolest part! My first time seeing one! I'll definitely plan to go back there, but this time stay in the hut!!!! Next up is Dunedin! 💜💜💜
Loving this series of adventures and your trip around South Island this is by far what you are best at, being yourself , telling it how it is, and making people laugh, just you being you. What a view and what an adventure am so envious
@TheAudaciousPath yeah would love to like you did the Tongariro now need some more challenges, it's always hard work but when you get to the top and the view, I guess it has to be hard or everyone would be there
Bloody hell girl, u do get around ... glad u accomplished it, glad weather was good, thanks for yr honesty & empathy ... oh, & of course the wonderful frekking scenery ... go girl
Haha! I can't help but want to see the world! 💜 It was definitely worth the hike, albeit I didn't think so on the way up, especially in the last hour!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed. A spot you might visit?
@@TheAudaciousPath Yeah, right .... i'm not sure mountains & i go together, will stick to my bush walks ... besides, i have just been to the top with u ... haha, godbless ...
Quite a climb isn’t it. I was talking with a lady who worked there and talked about the guys that would run that track before work! I repeat they would run it before work - 2hrs total return. OMFG. Credit for doing it at any pace. It is a serious walk.
Wow! I did see a runner on the trail heading up as I was going down. Frickin' crazy those guys. Then again, when I am fully financially sustainable (so close!!!), I'd like to start pushing myself a bit more on the fitness side. See what my body can handle!!! You only live once, aye? 💜

@@TheAudaciousPath authenticity indeed. Just be you. Apart from the usual easy walks around the area I have only done one more serious walk. My friend there worked for the National Park. Super fit small woman (worked in Antarctica with her husband both serious climbers and guides). My mistake was to agreeing to go for a walk with my cousin and her. Behind the Hermitage there is a small walk they said. Great view of Mt Cook they said. I had been cycling around the South Island so I had some fitness. Hahahaha foolish presumption. The track began an immediately incline and progressed to a steady 60-65% CLIFF. I have a lot of mental determination so I can push my body way past its limits. And following this diminutive woman and me being a stupid male thinking that I will at least make it to the top. About 2/3 of the way I knew if I was to be able to make it back down I had to stop. They continued to the top to show that I was truly unfit and we walked back down. I threw up after dinner from the exhaustion. Very funny in hindsight. She was capable as we would say in NZ. Locally I have walked a lot more in the Ahuriri valley. It’s quieter and also spectacular. What’s next on the list?
Oh dear! That’s quite the experience. I’ve had my ass whooped by a few short women I’ve underestimated. Always a humbling experience. Well…as far as plans. I’m actually leaving Auckland finally. News to come, but staying in NZ. Really glad to be getting out of the city finally! 💜💜💜
