Hi, Michael! Greetings from a sunny and warm São Paulo, Brazil! Hope you're doing well and enjoying your weekend fully. I know this video was posted three years ago or so, but the tips you pinpointed are so up to date and so fresh that I enjoyed watching your video so much in its entirety. I particularly liked the tip about using the script, but getting away from it as soon as possible so the presentation will sound spontaneous and natural. Thanks so much for this video, and I really look forward to watching some more useful videos like this one from you in the not-too-distant future. All the best! Byeee 😀
Thank you Rodrigo! I loved reading your comment. Glad this video is still out there helping people. Let me know what you think about our other videos:-)
Great question! For this video, in pre-production I wrote the script on a gdoc and my colleague and I edited it before I got ready to deliver it. For my personal presentations for work, I write an outline on paper and rehearse it out loud while walking down the street, driving in the car, and when getting ready in the morning.
Hay Anne, I am what I thank you for. For your comment and for interacting with me, in a sincere display of warmth, kindness and affection. I have no words to express my feelings about this. I'm Dorgival Dantas Brito From São Paulo Brasil
“Tunnel Vision” means someone who is focused on one goal and has a hard time seeing anything else. In the video, I say I have tunnel vision because I can only focus on what I’m saying and not on advancing the slides. “Tunnel vision” is a visual metaphor - a person in a tunnel walking towards the light.
1. Practice aloud.
2. Test content with friends and family.
3. Mark up your script.
4. Practice with clicker.

How do you write your scripts? On what? Paper or phone, computer?

Hi Michael, can you explain what you meant by 'tunnel vision'?
“Tunnel Vision” means someone who is focused on one goal and has a hard time seeing anything else. In the video, I say I have tunnel vision because I can only focus on what I’m saying and not on advancing the slides. “Tunnel vision” is a visual metaphor - a person in a tunnel walking towards the light.
