Yeah, this technique is just plain exciting and his execution is flawless. It's like he has pulled together flamenco and finger-style and applied it to a Latin/Caribbean beat .. it's really unique and novel: and that is so very rare these days. Thanks Bob for leading us into this undiscovered territory.
i m french and i have meet him in à concert of him, after the (incredible!) show,he goes in the street speaking with me and my friends ...a realy sweet and nice person. i have learn hes dead only today and i feel sad... bob brozman stay in my memorie for ever. sorry for my poor language.
there will never be his like again.. unique , inspirational ,amazing and hilarious. He always said at his gigs " if you are not living on the edge then you are taking up too much room ! " Bob Brozman has left room that can't be filled ..
Had the privilege of seeing this magnificent musician last Monday in Adelaide; a man literally exploding with musical ideas. We talked to him afterwards and my son said this song (the opener in his set) was his favourite. Bob's response was that it helped him to make sure everything was working, audience included!
I went to a week long guitar camp with him as an instructor; I never met a more inspired, inspiring person; endlessly creative and generous with his gifts. Very sad to learn of his death, and to learn that he'd been dealing with serious pain and a diminishing ability to play.
shocked saddened and plain old heartbroken...say it's not true someone please! got to see him twice in '03(finally) he was a force of nature that blew away even the most musically ignorant of my friends... the world is a grey-er place without him
This is one of the most rhythmic men on the planet - I did a workshop with him in Bristol, and he has mind-blowing command of rhythms. Bloody funny guy as well.
Although he is gone his music will live, inspiring generations to come. For myself I feel a great loss never having the chance to meet him, letting Bob know that his music & thoughts (philosophy) of music have been a great influence to my playing (as it is).
Oh my God! I totally needed to stumble across this this morning. A groovy song equally matched with a groovy shirt! I'm going to have to start every Thursday this way.
@SONGSTICKS In addition to being a great human being, Bob is both a brilliant innovator and master of traditional guitar music. Your time spent getting to know this artist's work will be worth every moment.
Bob is truly a guitar wizard...and for you arzachelek...why are you such a hater....peace my friend ...just learn to appreciate real intrinsic talent when you see it....he is simply amazing
Man! This is my first time seeing this guy. Feeling a bit ignorant since I've never heard of him but, GEEEEEEEEZUZ! I've NEVER seen a Dobro played like that. Amazing! He's my new Dobro hero.
Oh, absolutely awesome! I saw him earlier this year at the Woodford Folk Festival, by accident (had never heard of him before)... and have been smitten ever since. Save perhaps for Yo Yo Ma, I have never seen another musician who gets so /utterly/ lost in what they're playing. Brozman is marvellous!
One of the very few who really can play national reso guitars.I heard great guitar players that dont sound good on nationals cause they dont know how to drive them.Bob knows how thats for sure
He was such a musical talent. I wonder if the allegations against him will ever be resolved now that he is gone. It makes it hard to listen to his music without thinking about them.
This guy indeed, as most people here agree on, plays like a madman, and being mad is sometimes a good thing. ;) I do agree though that I might not stand a full concert of someone like him, but hey, there is no denying his talent. IF you enjoyed his performance, read the comments too - it's good fun. :D
You should count yourself lucky for having seen him. The last two times he's been playing near me I've had exams the next day so have been unable to go. It's driving me insane.
I too spent a week with him at guitar camp, and was equally impressed. He was a brilliant and inspiring instructor. But before you make any judgment about him as a human being (or about the reasons for his suicide), read the comments on "The Life and Legacy of Bob Brozman" in the Santa Cruz Weekly. Be sure to read the posts by Gary Atkinson and Mary Christine. You and I knew a charming and talented musician. But we did not know the whole story.
lol. I think it's pretty cool that his style has developed from playing with different musicians from all over the world and incorporating their style into his style. Although this song is more along the lines of Bob's original style.
Its very rare that a guitarist can show off (to this level) and keep the song going and make it interesting. With maybe the exception of Eddie Van Halen, this guy does it the best!

Sad to hear of Bob's premature passing.
The world will be a duller place without him.

Found this back in 2006. This is 👌

He paid the price for his transgressions with his life. Sad. Such a great musical talent.
So why bring them up? He's dead, we'll never know. Stop ruining it for people who aren't aware of that.
Awesome I Just Heard About Him From My History Teacher
this would be so good as opening music for a film

Wow! I think He can play everything blues, rock, jazz... whatever you want. He just doesn't care, he just play
